The Staff are very professional and kind, not to mention very caring. My Mother is 82 years old and absolutely loves Rocky Ridge! As her son and manager of her affairs it gives me great comfort knowing she feels safe and happy.

The absolute BEST Independent Living Retirement community in the Birmingham area. After researching and interviewing virtually every Senior Living Facility for my mother, we chose Rocky Ridge. Every employee is genuinely happy to help the residents. The facility is spotless and meals are served in an inviting restaurant style dining area. Spacious sidewalks for my mother who walks 2 miles per day and activities for all. The facility is very reasonably priced, especially for the quality.

The staff especially the Director Angie were super friendly and gave us a very informative tour. All of the staff that we met during the tour engaged us and made us feel welcome. Looking forward to our family member becoming a resident at Rocky Ridge

Dont put your parents here if they arent still active. The word I heard from most from the elderly people who lived there was LONELY. These were the ones who went back to their apartments and were alone there. I was promised that my parents would be taken care of there medically and otherwise for the rest of their lives. The nurses who came in to treat patients like my mom .. dropped the proverbial ball and didnt continue to care for my mom adequately and left my dad who had vertigo to care for my moms pressure wounds on the lower back side of her leg. My dad couldnt get on the floor to tend to her wounds and the infection went to her bone in her leg After 2 months in the hospital...my mom was to be released back to Rocky Ridge. That never happened due to social workers intervening at the hospital. My folks had to go to a nursing home which they werent qualified by MEDICAID to be in...they ended up in a boarding home with a WONDERFUL caregiver before they both passed away. Before trying Rocky Ridge for parents who cant look after themselves properly....TRY a boarding home. I do NOT fault Rocky Ridge for any of the circumstances my parents faced in their last few years. That was on the visiting nurses. If your folks are active and drive and can take care of themselves.. Rocky Ridge is Awesome for them as a senior living facility... If not. Try other resources . And. If your folks are elderly and need care...hire an elder care lawyer before you make the next move on where to place your folks or anything else concerning them. Word to the wise...
