Nice facility but food quality on the decline

I was part of a group tour on Feb 26/26. I found the home bright and sunny. Wide hallways. The balconies was a nice touch even though they were small not that people would be having parties there. The staff were friendly with nice clean uniforms. We stayed for lunch, I had the Chinese offering and really enjoyed it. After lunch there was live music from a local duo.

Canyon Meadows Retirement Residence has an inviting, caring, home-style environment. Tasteful curb appeal, cozy fireplace, comfy suites. The flexible, delicious meal options combined with a wide variety of calendar events keeps residents content and socially stimulated. Staff are dedicated to enhancing lives....Drew was one who provided personable assistance, genuine warmth; and mentioned the ongoing innovative ways they engage and show respect to the residents (such as following the current Olympics 2026; the thoughtful displays of the senior residents' wedding photos, as well as Birthday Celebrations). A definite Home Sweet Home, I highly recommend!

I had such a wonderful experience with Canyon Meadows Retirement Home. From the moment I called, I was greeted in the kindest and most welcoming way. Every question I had was answered thoughtfully and thoroughly by a gentleman named Drew, who truly went above and beyond. Drew was incredibly friendly, patient, and genuine. The way he spoke about his staff and residents showed real pride and care, which immediately gave me confidence in the home. It’s clear he’s passionate about what he does and about creating a supportive, positive environment. I also had the pleasure of visiting during the Christmas season, and I was blown away. The decorations were beautiful, the food looked amazing, and the holiday celebrations were full of warmth and joy. The entire facility was spotless, well-organized, and very inviting. You could feel the sense of community the moment you walked in. This is truly one of the nicest, most well run retirement homes I have ever been to. The care, cleanliness, atmosphere, and staff make Canyon Meadows a very special place. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming, caring retirement community.

I had the pleasure of meeting a very fine lady at a showing at Canyon Meadows Retirement Community this past week. Maggie met my sister, Pam and I, immediately upon entering the front doors. She was so gracious and ready to show us the entire facility which was beyond our expectations. Maggie took us floor by floor showing us thier two units that they offer, explaining the benefits to both. She took us to areas where we met some of the staff who went beyond just welcoming us, but truly gave us a heartfelt warm welcome. The entire facility was well beyond my expectations. What stood out to me the most was Maggie's genuine heart-felt committment to her job. She truly spoke from her heart of love for both the residents and the wonderful care they give on a daily basis. She was nothing but genuine. Many people will do a job for a salary, but not Maggie, she's truly seeking the very best for each person coming to inquire. Maggie, keep doing what you are doing, as during such a sensitive time as this, when people are transitioning out of their homes to a facility like yours, you are absolutely making it the difference they all so need. I would highly recommend Canyon Meadows Retirement Community to anyone facing this change in their life.

Another year of living at Canyon Meadows has come and gone. As life throws more challenges my way health wise each year, living at Canyon Meadows continues to be a good decision for me and my family. Having my meals prepared for me each day is so important for my health and mingling with the other residents or staff either in the Dining Room or at one of the entertainment events is so important to my well being. 93 and counting... One year of living at Canyon Meadows has flown by. The staff are first rate and go out of there way to not only assist me with any issues I have but also keeping my contact person in the loop when necessary. The food consists of a wide variety of choices including having the option of alternative choices. Throwing in a simple BBQ is a delightful twist to changing up sitting at the dining room table. Having the tables even set up with tablecloths or seasonal napkins is very much appreciated. Entertainment is thoroughly enjoyed but I suppose I could sit each evening and listen to someone singing or doing some sort of entertainment so that I can enjoy the company of others in the Atrium. The calendars of events and menus keep me in the loop of what is going on during each day. Even though there is a PA system, I can not hear the announcements in my room with the door closed so appreciate that those announcements are made in the dining room each meal as well. The resident ambassadors do their best to help a new resident fit in. There is a sidewalk that surrounds the entire building which is great for extra safe walking and if a resident gets tired there are two entrances so that they can cut their walk short if they become tired and come in the 2nd entrance. This residence has turned out to be a wonderful choice for me at 92 yrs of age. All of the staff from the office, dining room, maintenance, kitchen and cleaning are so welcoming and friendly.

It has been a really good experience touring the facilities at Canyon Meadows. My parents have opened up to the possibility of living there when the time comes. Jay and Maggie have been wonderful in showing us the building, the activities, the options, the units available, etc. The meals provided (included in the monthly cost) though we only attended one, was simple, but nutritious and perfect size option (resident can choose small or large serving) and alternatives if the resident does not feel like eating much, are excellent variants.

It’s been a wonderful experience touring Atria and getting to know people there. I’m very impressed with the facility and staff. It’s got a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food is delicious with great service. Communication and getting prompt answers to my questions has been very smooth. It’s got a feeling of a close knit community of people who help each other out

Canyon Meadows Retirement has turned out to be a wonderful new home for my 91 yr old Mom for this next stage of her life. The staff from office, dining room, maintenance, etc are all wonderful and very welcoming. The food is more than I had ever hoped for. The activities provided keep my Mom on her toes and very involved. And the other residents make Mom feel like she's been there forever.

A special "Thank you So Much " goes out to Maggie Foxx for the fantastic welcoming and tour that myself my Daughter and Grand Daughter received while visiting the Canyon Meadows Residence. Not only were we invited for dinner but Maggie had answered all our questions and so much more... It's a difficult time in life knowing that your loved ones are needing to take steps forward for their future residence and care.. Maggie helped us through this by showing us a couple of suites which were warm and cozy while providing all the needs required. We were completely overwhelmed of just what Canyon Meadows has to offer for their residence and the many different activities that are arranged...which allow the seniors to get out and still have a routine in thier lives... It's a wonderful place of warmth and care for your loved ones to enjoy their future.. Many Thanks Maggie and team, Tania

My husband and I have been researching retirement facilities for the last 2 years and Canyon Meadows is at the top of our list. We have visited 2 or 3 times and each time are struck by the caring and extremely pleasant & friendly staff some of whom have worked there for many years. For those people who enjoy the community lifestyle and have the financial means - we have found no community which appeals to us more. The 2-bedroom apartment which would be our choice is spacious, bright and has a lovely wrap-around balcony. Maggie is a most amenable host who obviously loves her work. If our circumstances change and we need this kind of support, Canyon Meadows will be our 1st choice.

This is a wonderful retirement home. My mom is very happy here. The accommodations are lovely, most rooms have balconies, the food is great, plenty of activities, a resident bus, and above all the staff are absolutely amazing. It's got a really good vibe.

It's a nice place clean well manicured and landscaped but the meals are not good. Often platted ahead of time hours even example I had a turkey sandwich the meat outside the bread was hard and translucent.

A lovely place to call home! My mother lives here and I always feel she is in good hands. We have come for dinner several times and the food is superb! The staff are incredibly friendly and kind. The shared spaces are open with lots of light, and are always kept very clean. My mother has a very nice room with a lovely view. Everyone seems happy and there always seems to be an interesting activity happening or live entertainment. Safety also appears to be of top priority.
