My sister in SC has used aides twice a week from First Light for several years now. Due to her declining health, I took over the financial responsibility of the service about two years ago. Last Spring (2023), my sister moved to a very good Assisted Living facility. At the time, we needed to decide whether to continue with First Light or not. By far, the best decision we made was to keep the aide and services from First Light. The aide makes sure my sister keeps her medical appointments; she provides activities for my sister separate from the Assisted Living facility which provides my sister with a higher quality of life, and the aide permits me to have my life here in another state. It is more than just the aide. If there are any concerns about anything, someone from First Light calls me and makes sure I am aware of what is happening. First Light's staff is well informed and professional. I could not be more pleased. I know there is someone there, if needed. I highly recommend First Light for Home Care services.

First meet Lisa after Moms stroke in 2020. She came out to meet with us and mom one on one. This is now 3rd year. The staff work hard to match caregiver to moms particular needs. Very personable. Very attentive to mom. Trustworthy. Would not hesitate to suggest FirstLight to family and friends.

We first used FirstLight in 2015 when my father required 24/7 care. The only time we had an issue with a caregiver not showing up was due to severe weather. Lisa would come out herself if necessary to cover until a caregiver could be there. After dad passed away, they continued caring for mom until we had to move her to memory care. This has been an 8 year relationship. Every now and then you get a caregiver who is not a good fit or conducts personal business on the clock, but the lines of communication are open. Lisa is responsive to your concerns.

Recently, I had the task of finding care for my father for hospice care. Along with the hospice, I knew my mother, being elderly herself, would need additional assistance. Unfortunately, we were not able to use the services from FirstLight very long as my father quickly passed away. However, when trying to locate a caregiver, the thing that impressed me the most about FirstLight was that from the very beginning my father was a person...a human being and NOT just a potential account. The Firstlight staff stayed with us until the end which gave my mother so much comfort. Thank you so much!

We had tried another service with a good reputation and were not pleased. After trying FirstLight, we didn't need to look any further. Lisa and her staff are fantastic! They have gone to extreme lengths to provide the help we needed. Lisa even changed a light bulb that I couldn't when she came out to interview us. Lisa makes sure that she knows your needs and your personality and matches the right helper to your situation. Due to the irregular nature of our needs we have gotten to know quite a few of FirstLight's employees and every one has been personable and willing to help in any way they could. It is obvious that Lisa is in this business because she wants to help people. I promise that you'll be pleased.
