I can't give Marina and her staff enough stars. I desperately needed help with my mother in law who came home as hospice, not realizing the hospice service felt she was no where ready for them. It was a Sunday afternoon. I was frantic. Here is where .Marina stepped in. She drove from her office up near palm beach to our home in boynton In less than a hour she had round the clock service for us with the kindness most efficient care givers. She has been in constant touch with us through my Mil passing. We are using them again for other family services. The best people in the world thank you again

I called Assisting Hands Home Care when my mom was on Hospice at home and I was so exhausted. I called in the morning explaining my needs and they sent a wonderful woman, Bernadette, that very night. Assisting hands brought our family peace of mind in a very uncertain time. The owner, Marina, walked us through several hospital visits, rehab stays and eventually home to hospice with our family member. She held our hand and answered our many calls on weekends and evenings. Her staff is patient, kind and professional. I highly recommend this company.

I delayed writing a review because I didn't want to write an negative one however I continued to become frustrated. Today, I opened my oven and it is disgusting. I will need to hire a housekeeper to clean it. I was/am limited in performing simple tasks that required bending, lifting and twisting. The caretaker could not perform basic chores i.e. make up a bed, fold sheets, fold towels, cook (although she tried)) I wasted so much money throwing overcooked food away. I tried to compromise and started cooking myself, with cooking being eliminated there was very little for her to do. I showed her how to make up a bed and fold sheets and she was appreciative. We spent most of our time grocery shopping, Dr, appointments and banking appointments. The caretaker assigned was friendly and compassionate. She was not best person to met my needs.

When making a decision to picking an aide for my 92 year old mom, we interviewed three different agencies. We were so happy to finally go with Assisting Hands. Our week day aide, Exarina, was so kind, so helpful and patient with mom. Whenever I had questions, the office staff was quick to react. As we are seasonal, we will be happy to continue to work with this agency come late fall.

My sisters and I recently found ourselves in the unenviable position of needing to find a Home Healthcare provider for our mom. I'm so sorry you're in this spot. But I hope that when you read this it will help you to make the call to bring what will shortly feel like extended family into your home. I still remember the angst my wife and I felt when it was time to go back to work and we needed to hire a nanny. Who's going to love and take care of my child as I would. This is what we all felt going through search for the right people and we knew as soon as we met Marina we'd found the right place. Even though she was going on a big trip the very next day, she come over and sat with my mom and I. She wanted to get to know my mom, and learn what was happening with her health. She wanted make sure she had the right person on her team, who had the necessary tools to assist my mom where she needed it, but also give her the space she desired when she wanted it. Marina's team understands the word dignity. And they understand empathy. They realize that many times when they are called this may be the first time someone may have the need to have home care. The search for the right team is hard work. But Marina's team also understands the stress, fear, perhaps even anger felt by the person who needs assistance. This is a loss of freedom and control that for some, can be very difficult. It can bring emotions to light that are unexpected. The experience Marina's team brings in situations such as these reminds you that you have hired not only someone who can be there when your mom is hungry and can make her a home cooked meal, but a professional who has been there before and can help to ease those situations where there's someone who may be scared or perhaps dealing with a sense of a loss of control. Whoever does the intake will get ALL the details! What they like to eat what they don't. When they like to rest and when they are most active. What's the med schedule? Is there an exercise program? Are there therapists coming in for PT, or Occupational therapy. Once ALL of the details are understood a schedule is made and before you know it, you and your loved one will be meeting your new new caregiver. My mom was with a wonderful woman who ultimately became her right hand. She was an absolute professional who charmed my mom as well as my sisters and I. We felt lucky to have her in all of our lives. We could be with my mom whenever we wanted. There was no feeling of awkwardness or anything like that. And the amazing part, was when it was time to leave, we didn't have to worry. We new our mom was in the best possible position with that someone who we knew truly cared about our mom and her well-being. You know you've been in that spot when no one answers and the panic starts immediately?? And if we had any questions or concerns we could give my mom's caregiver a call and she'd be there to answer the phone. That alone...I know you get it. As a post script I'll also include a brief note concerning our insurance coverage. Assisting Hands did a great job of making this part easy for us. For the majority of the time they were with my mom the insurance company was fair and provided the coverage that my mom needed. However there was a very unexpected change that occurred in coverage at one point. The kind of change that makes most of us hate insurance companies....The details are unnecessary, but I want you to know that Marina and her team were staunch supporters of ours throughout the struggles we had with the carrier and we were reminded once again of the true partnership we knew we had with Assisting Hands.

Our Home Care facilitator, Verna and the owner/administrator, Marina, quickly worked with me an my family to obtain experienced 24 hour home health care aides to facilitate my husband's hospital discharge. The team is professional and experienced. Most importantly, the communication, care, and support from the facilitator is always prompt, professional, and responsive to our needs as they change. Assisting Hands Home Care is truly the highest standard of care, compassion and customer service that I have ever experienced in this industry. From my very first call, Marina took the time to listen to my story. She understood the hardships being experienced by my father as he cares for my mother who has dementia. She asked great questions to better understand the type of care taker that would be a great fit for them. She came to their home to interview them and see what type of daily care is needed. Her time, efforts, and the high standards of employment screening of AH, has delivered the most perfect and amazing caregiver. Carmen is an absolute Angel! We consider her to be part of our family after only a few weeks of her coming to help a few days per week. Carmen is motivated, kind, patient, always happy and cheerful. She is eager to help with the daily tasks such as cooking, light housekeeping, and making sure mom can get dressed, bathed etc... She is a perfect fit for my mom and she truly does help to ease her anxiety, and bring order to their home and daily routine. Thank you Marina for all that you have done and continue to do!
