I recently found this agency on my own time. I asked for nurse aide as I recover from recent surgery, long term assignment. I was treated like a VIP by Michael (President), special Sofia, and Cathy who is extra caring and helpful! Monday Morning, Michael from Assisting Hands called to apologize. He seemed genuinely upset as to the way my problems were handled. We came to an understanding and I am giving them a second chance. I changed rating from 1 to 3 stars based on Michael's quick response and willingness to make amends on 9/10/24.. Original rating 1 star on 9/7/24 If I could give Management a zero I would. This morning I was waiting for my Aide to show up. called Assisting Hands. They told me my insurance ran out the week before. It would've been respectful if they had called me to let me know and find out if I would've like to pay for it myself. Second problem someone in the household had Covid and they told me "they don't send an aid to a sick house". Aren't they supposed to know how to handle a household with somebody that has Covid? The aid was very nice. I would give her three stars but she slept when not helping

Needed some help with a family member after surgery. Wasn't able to take off as much time as needed for proper recovery. I called a couple places. Non of them gave me as good of a feeling as Mike and his team. You know when you've called around and then BAM, you found the one without a doubt. They were able to work with my and my families schedule. We were all timid at first having someone in the house as anyone should in a vulnerable time. The HHA understood this and put us at ease with everything they had to do. By the end of the time we needed for recovery everyone was family, even our cat. The service was excellent and couldn't have asked for better experience in a time of need.

We called Assisting Hands in Ft Lauderdale when my mother was about to be discharged from the hospital and we needed one-on-one personal care right away. Jonathon was SO amazingly kind and understanding as we discussed our needs and the best path forward. We chose a 12/12 plan, where one caregiver stays for 12 hours then a second relieves her. Unfortunately we did not know what time the hospital would complete the discharge and it turned out to be 11 hours sitting in the room. Jonathon and Assisting Hands were so flexible in the hour that their assistant would start. They didn;t flinch when we had to keep calling every hour or two to delay the provider while we waited for the hospital to create the discharge papers. When they finally did, we brought mom to our house where we were met by Jennifer. She immediately jumped right into and because personal care with our mom. She sat with her all through the night and assisted her with her late night needs. While mom slept, she watched over her softly sang. It was very touching. At 7 am Karleen arrived and picked up where Jen left off. Sitting by waiting for mom to wake up. She helped with her bathroom needs even suggesting how to modify the commode to make it more user friendly. She prepared breakfast and sat with mom all of the day, bringing her lunch and snacks. I can't say enough about Assisting Hands. They were so flexible, kind and willing to wait for us. We are also very impressed with the level of care and compassion they provide. They follow all covid protocols too. I highly recommend Assisting Hands.

This agency is by far the best!!! With less than 24 hours notice, Jonathon provided 2 Home Health Care Workers for around the clock care who were so amazing!!!
