This is a review of the services provided by Mike Sousou at Absolute Senior Services. We were referred to Mike by the skilled nursing facility at which we were placed. We had no experience whatsoever with the process of finding a suitable assisted living facility in preparation for discharge from the skilled nursing facility. Mike patiently and tirelessly introduced us to multiple facilities that he felt represented the best options, while objectively citing their strengths and weaknesses. Whenever we had a question, he made himself available immediately to address our concerns. His assessment of those situations aligned perfectly with our own diligence upon visiting those facilities, building an unparalleled level of trust from us in his ability to do what was best for us. Once we had narrowed our choices, he stepped in and helped us negotiate radically more favorable terms. We have never encountered anyone in any setting requiring a de facto agent for any decision that has come through more than Mike”and all of this was done at zero out of pocket to us. We would recommend Mike unconditionally and without reservation to anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation. He is simply the best.

I was feeling overwhelmed by my search for a long-term senior home for my father, who had some special medical needs for support. Place after place I called said they couldn't take my father. Then, finally I was referred to Absolute Senior Solutions and Mike Sousou. Mike is so knowledgeable, and after I had a phone interview with Mike, he instantly went to work and found me 3 places in my geographical area who were willing to work with us to support my dad. I found it a real blessing to have Mike and Absolute Senior Solutions as a resource, especially during a stressful period when I'm trying to find a home for a loved one. I highly recommend Mike and his service if you're looking for support for a senior in any capacity.

My aunt has used this Service three times, each time they give me a quote, the next day they call back the quote has changed to $150 more. I was given a quote for $299. The next day they called back and said I gave you the wrong quote. It’s going to be $150 more and they have done this three times.I don’t appreciate this type of business.

In keeping with my sparse review posts, only written for truly excellent services, I'm posting one for Absolute Senior Solutions - a life saver helping us navigate my parents' decline. Absolute was on a list of placement services given to us during my dad's stay at El Camino Hospital (ECH). Our ECH social worker circled Mike Sousou's name out of all the services on the list and said he's great to work with and clients love him. I didn't even try other services, just went with it and have had a great experience Absolute does it all. They prepare and deliver an in home care plan if you're going that route. They'll help with placement into an appropriate assisted living facility if that is preferred / needed (they receive a commission from the facility in this case). Mike is very professional and knows the entire system, the contacts, the challenges, and the emotions of the journey on all sides. It was a huge relief working with an expert in the space. They helped everything go smoothly. My only critique, I love acronyms, and well, it doesn't work so well in this case! ;oP

Michael Sousou of Absolute senior solutions helped me at one of the more stressful times of my life, he was very competent , knowledgeable and knew how to put me at ease. he advocated for my brother in law Bill and we worked together to find him the best place to fit his needs, 6 month later Bill is now happy and thriving. Michael also put me in contact with real estate broker Abe from Landmark Real estate that assisted me with selling Bill's estate and make the best of it from beginning to end including clearing the house and make it look great. whenever i needed assurance and advise Mike always made himself available to me. The quality of the work by the individual caretaker, in our case Pina. has been exceptional in supporting our daily needs with minimum direction. Mike Sousou at Absolute Senior Solutions was a great resource in finding my disabled adult son a place where he could live in an incredibly healthy environment, be cared for, and heal. It was not an easy task since most care facilities are for over 60 and require some care restrictions. My son was 47 and needed to be near Stanford University Hospitals for a unique life saving course of action and it didn't fit the norm, but Mike helped me find him a good place to be while he went through the process. She was easy to speak with and she focused quickly on providing the help needed. The caregiver Leonora was experienced, personable and readily able to provide comfort and care. I was super stressed out, trying to find and coordinate a transportation service for my mother last month, but after my experience with absolute, I can finally say I am not stressed out anymore. My experience with the help from Kyle, who drove and helped my mother was beyond words ! We originally found Absolute Senior Solutions in order to provide after surgery recovery and care for my mother. The service has been wonderful, I can’t say enough good things. More than a year later we continue to use the service for daily help and support. The care person working with my mother has been amazing, she is thoughtful, she makes sure all my mom’s daily needs are met from hygiene to chores such as laundry to getting out of the house for a walk or a drive. Absolute Senior Solutions as a company has been great to work with, they have been flexible with hours and staffing, they are available when needed, and they communicate well. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for care of their parent(s) or other senior.

When I learned I would need 24 hour care for my spouse, I was really worried. I had heard all kinds of horror stories about caregivers. His experiences in a rehab facility were not pleasant. A social worker reached out to Absolute Senior Solutions and Amy called. She immediately put my mind at ease. She sent us Nasi, who has turned out to be a Godsend. I couldn't have dreamed for better care and a kinder, gentler, more attentive person for my husband. I am able to sleep at night knowing that my husband is being cared for and that he is here, in our home, with one on one care. He does physical therapy every day and I am seeing him get stronger and stronger. Jay came to care for Ray on the days Nasi was off. He was very watchful and attentive as well, helping us to fee safe. I wanted to give this moment in time everything we have, to try our hardest to bring my husband back to health while protecting his dignity. And after meeting this team, I know I made the right decision to bring him home. If you are trying to make a decision, just know that I have seen first hand how amazing these people are. I recommend them 100%.

We Used Absolute for my grandmother who was residing at Mountain View Health Care Center for therapy and they are amazing! They are so accommodating when it comes to last minute appointments, caring and gentle when it comes to transferring to and from the gurney. The nursing facility used this company for every appointment, Andrew and the other drivers that showed up never disappointed. A few weeks ago I was in complete despair. I was so overwhelmed about the idea of having to get assistance for my mom as she continued to decline from her Alzheimer's. We had just taken taken my to the emergency room because she became paranoid and refused to eat and drink. While there, we were given the name Amy at Adult Senior Solutions. I cannot express enough how much Amy and her team helped me through my struggles of what to do. She helped guide me through getting home care set up quickly and talked me through the process of getting a facility in place for my mom soon after that. A lot of tears where shed on my part over the past few weeks but I can honestly say that my mom is happy and thriving now and this is in part to Amy and her team at Absolute senior Solutions. A little over a month ago, my wife and I found ourselves in the emergency department. I was newly wheelchair bound, having been freshly discharged from rehab after spinal cord surgery and I had a broken hand. My wife had blacked out from exhaustion as my sole caregiver and had just fallen and broken her arm. We were drained, in pain, running out of daylight, and with no one to care for us when we got home. A case manager recommended Absolute Senior Solutions and before I knew it, Amy Hurst was on the phone with me. Amy immediately went into action. She made calls to her team of caregivers, worked with our apartment manager, and arranged to have a caregiver in our apartment waiting for us when we arrived. It chokes me up to recall the relief I felt meeting our first caregiver Cora that first night. We were held and cared for like I could not have imagined possible. As we learned the extent of needed care, Amy again helped us by setting up fresh caregivers every 12 hours. Our profile wasn't typical, and there were times when I was a difficult client, requiring frequent assistance around the clock, but Amy and her team of caregivers bent over backwards to take care of us. We are grateful to Amy and the Absolute Senior Solutions caregivers for all their care, attention, and flexibility.

I called everyplace in Santa Cruz and they needed TB test, client interview, signed contract, etc. And they had no staff. Kaiser social service put me in touch with Amy at Absolute Senior Center. Absolute Senior Solutions was absolutely the best call we made when we needed care for my 85 year old father. He had a fall and needed temporary 24 hour care immediately. Absolute Senior Solutions was there for us with trained professional care givers who were always on time and even overlapped when necessary so that they could communicate daily details. We used them a few years ago for about 3- months while he was rehabbing and then used them more recently for 2- months while his partner recovered from a surgery. We would use them again anytime that we need in home care, we have referred them to a friend and would refer them again to anyone who needs quality in home care by caregivers who care about the well being and health of their patients. Absolute Senior Solutions has been caring for my mother 24/7 since July 2018. I have never considered another agency since their quality of services is top notch, and their prices are fairly competitive for the Bay Area. This 24/7 care is costly no matter how you rationalize it, but sometimes it is the right thing to do for "old mom", who has been a wonderful mother to me and my siblings. Our two caregivers, 5-day and 2-day, really care about my mom as a friend, and are considered an extension of our family. We needed transportation for a wheelchair bound quadriplegic family member on a ventilator. We were concerned about what we could do if he got delayed at doctor appointments. We also needed transportation on Christmas. We also wanted to have the caregiver AND a family member accompany sometimes accompany him. This company could do everything we wanted at a very reasonable price! And our driver, Yolanda, was INCREDIBLY helpful getting him to and from his appointments at a big and confusing Kaiser location. With all honesty and transparency, Absolute Senior Solutions helped our family at a time when we needed support the most. I learned about their services through a friend whose family also benefited from their services. Our family was in desperate need of senior health care services because my mother's dementia was worsening. Her cognitive abilities were taking a sudden turn for the worst where she needed full time care on many levels from assistance with mobility, exercise, day to day activities, bathing, restroom care, feeding and meal prep, and most importantly mental and cognitive stimulation and social engagement. Amy from Absolute Senior Solutions was not only able to respond immediately with sending a care provider and care giver, but her and the care taker were able to offer insight into the changes in my mother that we could expect to see as my mom continues to age and transition. The social/emotional/physical support they gave my mother and family are invaluable and when/if I need their services again, I will not hesitate to contact them.

Needed 24/7 caregiver at home after 97yo MIL went into ER. Absolute on very short notice was able to assemble a stellar team that kept mom safe, engaged well with a person who didn't want strangers in the house, and kept mom engaged in conversation. YMMV depending on who you get, but our experience was the vast majority of the people sent to us were the A-list. Shout out to Amy who coordinated all the shifts and shifting needs. She was outstanding!
