I stayed at Devonshire Care in Hemet for over a month to get rehabilitation and get back on my feet. The nurses and aides and even housekeeping staff are unbelievably kind and supportive. I especially want to highlight the kitchen manager & team for great service to me. I am a vegetarian and he developed vegetarian meals with protein for breakfast lunch and dinner that were completely different every meal every day. This kitchen manager and team also create all different meals for different medical conditions like diabetes and allergies and esophagal conditions. They are so well prepared for the variety of people with medical conditions who come in to get stronger while they rehabilitate. Many thanks to the entire team at Devonshire Care in Hemet. I HAVE TO BE ON PAIN MEDICATION AND MANAGEMENT....EVERY 4 HOURS!!!! I have had to have 19 MAJOR surgeries so far. PAIN MEDICATION does NOT last 6-8 hours with me. Even by 6 hours, I'm in horrible pain again. This is the 20th rehab--of which I actually had requested a different rehab. Will all my rehab experience's.....THIS IS THE WORST!!!!!!!! The CNA's nurses are nice when they come in, BUT 99 percent of the time NEVER came in a decent amount of time with PAIN MEDICATION. I have had 20 major surgeries.... I am 1/2 METAL 1/2 ORGANIC....I have 16 ELECTRODS and a BATTERY in my back. I feel I'm well experienced in this....while Also ACKNOWLEDGING that there's many out there worse off than me and who have no way to speak out.

I stayed at Devonshire care center for a little over a month. I have to say overall I had a good experience. The new administrator Karsten is great and goes out of his way to help the residents and checks on us daily he also puts a smile on my face when I am down . So thank you.The cnas are very attentive and check on me a lot through out the day. The lvn Jessica and tyra is always on time with my meds and is always willing to help. Reina the cna helped me so much when I stayed there. Admissions Rowena and Laura always try to help me and go over and beyond when it doesn't have to do with admissions they don't care there truly there to help. All the staff at Devonshire is pretty much amazing. Michelle and Patricia the front desk are super friendly. The physical therapist are amazing there Denise you helped me a lot. The staff is very friendly and if I can recommend anyone to a skilled nursing I would tell them to go there. They helped me in a time in my life feel better about myself when I felt like things were hard.

I was very disappointed with the customer service provided by the staff at this center. I was coordinating care of my neighbor. I called the main number and was told that someone would respond to my call and that The staff was very good at returning calls. This was a script that the staff members left. I never got calls back! On Saturday, November 8, 2025, my neighbor was discharged to family member! I was not a family member! She was fragile and scared as she was going home to be alone.the care center had not arranged for coverage for her..no VNA contact, no caregiver information!!!!! Surely they must have some social services at Devonshire?!?! Upon entering the center there was a desk but no staff member to greet visitors! Passing into the main entrance there were 5 or 6 staff members laughing and chatting. No one acknowledged the visitor without feeling as if she was disturbing their conversations!!!!! What a sad state of affairs at this center!!!! I would never recommend this place!!!!

I was transferred there from the hospital with a catheter. About a week in, I told them that I thought I had an UTI. They said that my urine doesn't look cloudy. I then started getting debris in my catheter tube. They said they would look at next day. The next day it looked clear but then started getting debris in it again. I insisted on a urine test but then it was a holiday weekend so had to wait until Tuesday. It then goes to lab and there is a three day bacteria test. Finally comes back showing UTI. Meanwhile, my catheter backed up because of so much debris. Had catheter removed. I had a doctor that I never saw in the month that I was there. The doctor and pharmacy may change up medications in you and then it may take a day or two to resolve it. Some CNAs are excellent and will go above and beyond and others not so much. You definitely need to be your own advocate or have someone to advocate for you. I advocated for another patient that was getting ignored. My OT and PT was good and the food was good if you ate in the dining room. When waiting for food in the room, it was most often cold

I recently spent almost two weeks here. Would have given five stars but first two days was in a room with a patient who constantly screamed for the CNA's and it was very loud near nurses station. However I was moved to a different hall, different team members and care was excellent. All the staff were caring and compassionate, my roommate was a 90+ year old patient who needed lots of hands on care and they were so kind and patient with her. Food was bad but I had no appetite anyway, would play "what is the mystery meat dish today" but overall the care excellent, floor and area around bed was kept clean and nursing staff the best.

The pros are that there are several employees at Devonshire "care" facility that actually do care about the work they do and about the patients. Those employees show up and show the care, patience and concern that you would expect from a nursing home or care facility. There was a male nurse there (I believe John) and the laundromat service staff who went above and beyond and the front office/receptionist was always very welcoming and we are appreciative of them being there. Unfortunately I think that there are a few concerning things that transpire here that overshadow the positive impact that these employees have. I recently had a loved one that was sent to this "care" facility for ongoing medical care and unfortunately what I observed was extremely concerning. My loved one is diabetic and the first two or three nights they were served things such as pasta, bread and even ice cream!!! These things could severely impact the health and wellbeing of my loved one and it was as though the team there didn't care to pay attention to these needs. I had to bring in outside food in order for my loved one to be able to eat properly and when I couldn't physically bring it I ended up sending DoorDash so that they could actually eat a decent meal. My loved one needed medication which they did not provide for over a week, and yet were constantly giving them increased carbs. The daily wound care was not provided on the weekends and even though patients were told that they would see the doctor on a weekly basis, the only time that the doctor EVER came to see my loved one was when the doctor was told that they wanted to move to a different care facility and even that conversation was concerning. There were times where my loved one wanted to go outside in order to get out of the room and get some sun (which is good for healing) and was told that they were not allowed to be outside because of the surrounding environment. At this place, they will be completely okay with your family laying in their bed all day everyday. The overall feeling that I got from this facility is that they frequently engage in fundsucking. I believe they intentionally try to keep patients there until the insurance funds run out so that they can continue to get the financial benefits from insurance companies. Even when my loved one was cleared to be discharged from their own doctor, the people at this facility claimed that their doctor had to also provide the clearance for them to actually be discharged. On top of this, they are ridiculous about certain things like your loved ones being checked out for family visits. They CLAIMED that they were concerned about substance use and that they were looking out for the best interest of the patient, however after hearing NUMEROUS situations where patients literally walked out the front door because staff were too busy on their phones and no one was monitoring the front door, it became very evident that they were only concerned about making sure that my loved one was able to remain in their care for the purpose of obtaining funds. One nurse in particular was extremely unprofessional and completely ridiculous. The facility called my loved one to confirm whereabouts and when told that their location was in the parking lot, this intrusive nurse actually came out to our car and interrupted our visit and demanded that my loved one go inside and claimed that they (loved one) did not have the right to be outside. While some of the staff there truly do care, if you love your family/loved ones, I would recommend that you look into other facilities that actually monitor the patient, take into consideration dietary needs, understand the importance of hygiene and a daily routine and are not just focused on fundsucking.

Toured this Center with a friend's wife who needed a nursing home after hospitalization at Hemet Global Med Center. The Case Manager stated this Nursing Home had a contract with my friend's insurance. I looked up the ranking of this place on the Medicare website. Ranked highly. We were able to speak to Administration when we toured. It was nice to see the "Boss" talking to the other patients and even joking /laughing with them. That interaction made us feel comfortable. After touring the other places in the area- we picked Devonshire. Also, we found out we have a friend who's son works at Devonshire, he told us he will look in on my friend anytime we need. So Thankful!
