My experience with the Acacia Place at the Eliza Jennings facility in Cleveland has truly been life-changing. As my mother navigates the challenges of dementia, I can confidently leave her at the Adult Day Care, knowing she is in a safe, supportive environment and receiving excellent care. She feels welcomed and enjoys the company of others, which brings her joy. The staff has shown incredible kindness and patience, for which I am eternally grateful.-Judy O

My sister is there and has needed to be changed for over an hour now. She has called out for help and pushed the buzzer numerous times. I have called an spoken to a nurse and it has still been 15 minutes additionally. They are apparently low on staff.

Last February, my grandmother was admitted to the skilled unit as a hospice patient. She was giving "days to weeks" to live as her congestive heart failure was catching up with her. We also discovered that she had on-set dementia that ended up worsening while she was there. My grandmother ended up living 9 additional MONTHS and I believe it was due to the exceptional care of KAY KAY, Sherlondra, Dominque, the manager of the unit and the rest of the nurses and staff of the unit (Sorry, I'm forgetting the rest of the staff's names at the moment) They treated my grandmother like she was their grandma. When grandma's dementia began to flair up and she had episodes of trying to get out of bed and episodes of extreme confusion, paranoia and even began seeing things that weren't there, the staff did an amazing job managing her condition and working with my family to keep her safe and comfortable. Even on a personal level, they connected with grandma. My grandmother loved music and from the guitar player, Alan, coming to sing for grandma... to the nurses singing and dancing with grandma to the songs she'd play on her little old cd player, they made sure she enjoyed her last few months as much as possible. Grandma passed in late October and I meant to write this sooner, but it's been tough. Just now mustering up the nerve to write this. Thank you to the staff in the skilled unit. You made a difference and (I believe) gave me 9 more months with my grandmother. - Tiny's Grandson.

I was a volunteer at Eliza Jennings many years ago, as a teenager. It holds fond memories for me: the beautiful campus, the skilled workers who treated the volunteers well, the activities, the WONDERFUL patients and getting to know them, the history of the place, the ability back in the 80s of couples living independently, just wheeling patients from place to place and taking in the atmosphere. If I wanted to retire back in Cleveland (59 & living in NC now), I would check out Eliza Jennings first.

Every resident there has bed sores really bad they play favoritism with the workers. I can count on my hand how many residents that doesn't have bedsores on one hand, which is pretty sad they do what they want to do there. They are not welcome to new works at all. They pick and choose they own assignments the works. Work there at your own risk. State need to have a look ijs

What a year and a half it has been! Covid -19 has changed or effected just about everyone's life in one way or another. Audrey and I are no different. I truly believe that Audrey's Alzheimer's has progressed as a result of the isolation this pandemic has caused. Audrey no longer cooks, shops, drives, and most recently is having a difficult time getting dressed. Audrey now attends Eliza Jennings, Acacia Place Day Center three times a week. Audrey really enjoys the companionship and the activities they provide. Minni and her staff are always smiling and happy to see Audrey, and truly appear to enjoy their jobs. Audrey looks forward to attending each week. Audrey has remained a happy person throughout this whole experience. Acacia Place is helping me keep her that way. For this I am grateful! Dave R.

Acacia Place treats family like family. Having them in your corner really lowers the anxiety levels because they seem to care about the people that they take care of. I am happy my family member is in their care during the day; the food is good and they provide intellectual stimuli during the day with games and various activities.

Their transportation Is the worst they don't call you and let you know if they will not be able to pick They're client up they pick people up late I'm giving them two stars shouldn't be that.
