Things I like/dislike about my new apartment: 1. Love that I’m only 10 minutes from work. 2. Dislike all the traffic noise from living on a MAJOR street in Lansing, but when the sliding doors are closed, I can’t hear anything. 3. Love my balcony. Yes, it’s loud with traffic but I could sit out here for hours and just watch cars go by. 4. I dislike that I don’t have central air, but the building is somehow centrally cooled? I’ve never been hot, but I do have a fan for at night for when I get too hot. 5. My cat loves sitting in front of the sliders getting fresh air and taking in all the sights and sounds. 6. Adjusting to my mini kitchen and mini stove is taking some getting used to. However, it’s all that I need and I can still whip up a full dinner or a mean casserole. 7. Laundry is just down from my apartment and it is much cheaper and easier than dragging my laundry to the laundromat. 8. Parking can be challenging. It’s a giant parking lot, but it’s 1st come, so you may be anywhere from 150-200 yards from the entrance. Which sucks when bringing in groceries, so I’ve decided grocery delivery it is! 9. I love that I’m so close to restaurants and stores! 10. The staff has been AMAZING! From the management to the maintenance crew. All in all, I love my new little place. And for the price with everything included-I honestly can’t beat it. Do I miss the slow pace of living in a small town? Yeah, sometimes. But this place is perfect for me and my cat. It’ll just take a little time to get adjusted.

I have lived at Cedar Place for going on nearly six years now. Going from being homeless one day to living in an apartment building that is more like a community than just a building. It started out a little rough, but over time it has gotten much better, which was no small feat. Primarily thanks to the Property Managers, the Maintenance staff and the security guards. One Property Manager has stood out above the rest, in my eyes of course, and that person is Tammy K. There has been no one more passionate, determined and fully devoted to improving this community than her. She's there to do a job and does it exceptionally well. I don't like being told what to do anymore than the next person, but when it's something that is making your quality of life and living space/ home a better place why not be grateful and appreciative rather than complaining about things being made better. I truly appreciate Tammy's commitment to making Cedar Place, which is my home, into a nicer, cleaner, and safer place to live, thanks Tammy you're awesome.

Utilities included in rent. Close to shopping. Been here about ten years and no problems. Maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner. Tammy the apartment manager is the best apartment manager I have had living at Cedar Place. During my last review she was very accommodating. She deserves a pat on the back after dealing with me. Dawn in the leasing office is just fantastic. Best apartment managers I ever encountered.

I moved here little over 6 months now, very peaceful, great view. Maintenance does great work for my place and the property. Management is very professional. Tammy explained the policies thoroughly. Furthermore, Cedar Place is a place where security and safety is always a priority. Tammy is truthful and fair when problems arise. For the time I’ve been here I’ve gotten to know majority of my neighbors, all respectful and nice. Whenever I receive packages in the mail, the assistant manager (Dawn) is always kind enough to keep them tucked away in the leasing office till I get back home. All in all, very nice community. Very professional staff.

Update: Since Tammy took over management of the property, the transformation has been nothing short of miraculous. She has truly changed the entire environment, making it cleaner, more positive, and an overall better living space. Tammy consistently goes above and beyond to ensure all tenants feel welcomed and valued. The turnaround from when she started is immaculate, and there are no words to fully capture the extent of her impact. Tammy's dedication and hard work have created a thriving, pleasant community. DON'T LIVE HERE. This apartment is not an environment you want to live in, they lie and do not disclose that the apartment has tenants from prior management’s housing arrangements with the Community Mental Health Center. As a result of this, multiple tenants will harass you as they are not fully aware of social cues. I had a tenant following me around for weeks and when I reported it I never heard a resolution on it. She would follow me all around the complex and I never have felt more unsafe at an apartment complex like this one. Also, the laundry rooms are full of MOLD and are so disgusting you can barely breathe in there as there is no ventilation causing the room to be extremely humid, and more than half of the machines are broken. Additionally, the property manager is extremely unprofessional as she is constantly talking to her residents about other tenants, trashing the maintenance team, hanging up the phone during calls, and not disclosing that there have been multiple car burglaries at the complex. My vehicle was stolen and when I inquired for assistance from the property manager she stated that they have no cameras on the property and that their security guy had no knowledge of this instance. Not only is she unprofessional in those aspects but it is not appropriate to talk about the older population that lives there, and referring to them as individuals who take up space. As for the other staff they provide false information on procedures and then act shocked when you follow their recommendations and they end up being incorrect. The apartment constantly reeks of cigarettes and alcohol, and the elevator always is dirty and often soiled with dog urine. My apartment has nicotine all over its walls and it has been brought to their attention multiple times since I moved in, and every time I check on this inquiry all the staff act oblivious as if it’s the first time I’m bringing it up. Overall there’s a reason the manager said she’s having trouble filling the 60% vacant apartments. Finally, it was never disclosed that someone was murdered at this apartment complex.

We have lived here a year now. We have been under old management and new management. Without a doubt the new owners/management company Princeton is outstanding. They clearly care about their property and residents. They have made an enormous amount of upgrades and improvements to this complex. Princeton cares about their residents, and that's why we have security cameras and a security guard. The office and maintenance staff are fantastic. I highly recommend Cedar Place Apartments.

Laundry rooms on every other floor, trash chutes, door to buzz in, and community space. It's a really great place to live as long as you only need a one bedroom.

This is absolutely a terrible place to stay I want to warn you I moved my mother in this facility and it was not up to par the air condition system was not working the staff are not considerate not concern this is not a smoke-free building I promise you that on top of that they do not keep the facility up to par and clean and things in working order however I do know that they're trying to make effort to fix things however the building has a long ways to go Apartment Hunters be aware that it is not a safe and secure building at all and it doesn't take a heavyweight to figure that out awesome check information on this building because there is a news report this year 2019 about this building

I've been here for 5 years. Very happy here. There are chronic whiners every where you go. Find another place with all utilities included and see if the grass is really greener on the other side of the fence. I get along with management and staff. The one star reviews are uncalled for.
