Tired of mowing those acres of lawn or vacuuming yards of carpet at that home you bought thirty years ago? Then sell it and move to the Burbank Senior Artist Colony. No. It’s not assisted living! I have lived here for over two months, and not once have I had to worry about maintenance. The handy-man has mastered carpentry (he remodeled the kitchen and replaced the flooring before I moved in), plumbing and electrical. He shows up the day of or a day after you contact the office. (And, yes he put enough cabinets in so you can keep that 12 set serving of crystal and china you still have). The administration will answer all your questions and streamline your move in by recommending a mover or two! And what a hard-working maintenance person they have! The building, from the exercise room (no more gym bill), the club room, the theatre, and the game room , it is spotless! And, your kids will show up to visit and for dinner more often because you can walk down San Vernando every night for Mexican, Vietnamese, Greek, etc. I personally have visited each one of the ice cream shops, but don’t tell my doctor. This is also a very safe area. I walk over 10,000 steps everyday, and not always to the ice cream shops. ( I have to maintain my figure for water aerobics at the pool . Yes. There is a pool here, too). Come live here and enjoy your retirement!

We gave a fabulous concert in the Theater room, everyone was pleased! The piano sounded wonderful and the acoustics were perfect. We are looking forward to our next performance there. Can't wait!!

I have been a happy resident of Burbank Senior Artist Colony for 8 years...and I don't usually bother with reviews...but the management and maintenance have been thorough and so impeccable. The place is kept clean and in tip top shape. The people that live here are like family..very friendly ...I love the way the manager (RH). knows you by your first name and always welcome you with a smile. I would highly recommend BSAC if you are looking for a home with a family flavor.

My father has been at the Colony for 5+ years now. It's been great. Great location. Lots of activities. A pool, a pool table, a gym. Plenty to do in the building and everything on San Fernando Blvd. is basically in his lobby. A short walk to anything. He moved he from the east coast not knowing his way around, not able to manage our freeways. He doesn't need to. He's got a full like all within a square mile! Highly recommend.

I love this location for my uncle. I was looking around Burbank and no other senior communities around here are like BSAC. This community is unique with the engage program helping seniors stay active. They have plenty of outdoor space in the courtyard and clean common areas. Looking forward to my uncle living here.

I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful experience my mom has had while living in the Burbank Senior Artists Colony building. From the moment she moved in, she has been welcomed with open arms by the friendly staff and residents. The staff and especially the manager Rachel are experienced in their care and attentiveness. I've lived here 6 years which says it all!! I only lasted 10 months at my previous apartment building because it was like living in a frat house. BSAC is nice and quiet, residents and staff are very friendly, and I absolutely love the location! Downtown Burbank, the Town Center Mall, my bank, the post office and 3 AMC theaters are all within walking distance. Its a great living situation for the 55+ community!

I love it here! Moving here, downsizing, and meeting so many wonderful new friends, who genuinely care about each other, was just what I needed in this newest journey in my life. I take painting class, fitness and yoga classes; I love dance movement in Musical Theatre, I play on a champion volley ball team , participate in monthly drum circle and Bingo. I enjoy eating and chatting with the weekly Lunch Bunch, and am learning to play Mahjong! I just returned from a free- lunch included- workshop on Senior Health Services; just one of many I have attended throughout the time I have been a resident here. Thank you Rachel, Melissa, Max, and Alberto for all your hard work in keeping our place safe, clean, and so beautiful both inside and outside . I love it here !

We have lived here since 2022 and love it. The building is quiet, clean, and well maintained. The parking is secure and convenient, and the shared facilities (pool, fitness room, theater, etc) are excellent as is the programming. The staff is very responsive and easy to work with as well. Finally, the location couldn't be better -- it's just a couple of beautiful, tree-lined blocks to walk to downtown and the farmer's market. We are very happy we moved here.

I have been a resident at the Burbank Senior Artist Colony since 2015 and love living there. The building is located near anything you'd want (grocery stores, etc.) The excellent staff is headed by the awesomely nice Rachal Hambrick, whom I consider as Family. I love BSAC so much that I plan on being a lifelong resident and highly recommend BSAC to anyone seeking a quality living environment.

What a great place to live! I love it. There is a great staff who make sure everything is up to snuff. You couldn't ask for a better location. You can walk to great stores and restaurants. They offer all kinds of classes that keep your mind and body busy. Or you can relax in a great atmosphere.

BSAC is a lovely, well-managed building in a beautiful area of Burbank. The staff goes out of their way to respond to any needs or questions you might have. The property is kept very clean and parking is super convenient. It’s also within easy walking distance to restaurants, theaters and the mall. Overall, it’s a really nice, comfortable place to call home.

I’ve lived here for 12 years and I’m very pleased to be a resident. I do miss the weekly gatherings for dinner, but I understand that because of Covid that had to be canceled.

Great location, quality building with great amenities, although it seems like exterior/interior upgrades are long overdue. My main concern are, outdated appliances. Refrigerator, oven/cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer are dinosaurs in terms of date of manufacturing, and not very efficient and expensive to operate. My monthly electric bill should be 1/2 of what I pay, even bwp agreed it’s kind of high for the unit and suggested sending an evaluation team to see what’s draining so much electricity.Keep you all posted!

I moved into BSAC August 2020 and love the complex location (walkable neighborhood) as well as my apartment view. Both Rachal and Cynthia are responsive to my requests and professional. Marco does a very thorough job of keeping things clean in our common areas. Oscar complains but has replaced a broken bedroom smoke alarm and repaired a bathroom tub faucet as needed. I’m glad some of our activities are starting back up. As a watercolor artist, I love the art studios and am excited to have a art class again. Although I enjoy Zoom for Meditation, I enjoy the in person classes that have opened up more and am hoping we soon might be able to have social get togethers as I understand we once did. I share Engage’s Covid concerns but suspect we are already vaccinated or would be required to be. Even so, I really love living here and have made some great friends. I would have given 5 Stars except the need for exterior paint, windows needing cleaning ( some so cloudy, outside barely visible from inside), and concern for aging building plumbing. This is such a unique, beautiful building. Thank you for this feedback opportunity.

I was highly discriminated against, lied to , talked down to by Linda.. I am a senior citizen alone, I have had a long term disability. I always owned my own home, maintained high 700 to low 800 fico score. After long term illness and providing financial support for my mother with Alzheimer my credit dropped significantly, I had to file bankruptcy 4 times. I explained all this to Linda before I went there she said there should be no problem. Also there was identy theft issues to be resolved on my record. I went there took a copy of my credit credit report to Linda before she even started, to see if I could pass. Linda said none of that mattered took my application fee, called me a little later said I failed. Talked to me in a very degrading manner. I was hurt humiliated and embarrassed. Later Rose called me she works with Linda, stating there is availability, I called back and ask Linda again she was very insulting and spoke to me in a degrading manner. I believe Linda knew all along that they were not going to rent to me but she wanted the application fee. What is wrong with this place the rents are reasonable, I could easily afford the rent, I am a senior citizen that experienced difficult times working my way through it. They were very humiliating dishonest and not to speak of discriminatory.
