Can I give 10 stars please?!!!! Please read the entire review. It is worth the read I promise if you are searching for your loved one and going through what I recall being one of the hardest times of my life. Here goes - I lost my dad two weeks ago, and I feel compelled to share about the most wonderful, compassionate senior care facility I have ever experienced: Bubbe and Zayde’s Place in Santa Ana. I don’t say this lightly. I have been a caregiver to my grandparents and parents since I was 25 years old ” I am now 50. Caregiving has been a defining part of my adult life. In 2019, I had to have brain surgery and at that point I truly had no choice but to get help. My dad needed 24-hour care, and I could not physically do it alone anymore. It broke our hearts and the amazing team at Bubbe and Zayde’s cared for my dad in ways that exceeded my every desire and need for my dad’s care. My father was a Vietnam veteran. He was exposed to Agent Orange, which led to Parkinson’s disease, and three years later he was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia ” a devastating, relentless illness. The last seven years were filled with complications, hospitalizations, chronic health issues, and heartbreaking changes. I can say with complete honesty: if it were not for the extraordinary caregiving team at Bubbe and Zayde’s Place, I do not know how I would have survived this journey. The men and women who work there are not just caregivers ” they are earth angels. They are patient, gentle, skilled, attentive, and deeply loving. They treated my dad with dignity, safety, and compassion every single day, even as his disease progressed. They knew him. They protected him. They cared for him as if he were their own. During my dad’s final days, I spent six days and six nights living there with him. They provided a portable bed so I could sleep by his side. I silently watched and observed there devoted and difficult work. They strive to bless each resident with love, dignity and respect. I felt supported, held, and surrounded by people who truly understood what mattered in those final moments. They have all become my family. Bubbe and Zayde’s Place is owned by a devoted Jewish family, and the heart behind it shows in everything they do. The founder was a single mother who started with just one house in the 1990s ” a powerful story of love, resilience, and vision. Today, there are six houses that share a backyard, creating a real sense of community to honor the elderly at a fragile time in their lives. They have a movie theater, activities, and ” most importantly ” they work intentionally to ensure residents stay connected to friends and to one another during what can be an incredibly lonely stage of life. The pricing is remarkably affordable, especially given the level of care, humanity, and attention provided. This place is proof that senior care can be both professional and deeply personal. There truly are not words big enough to express the gratitude I feel for what Bubbe and Zayde’s Place did for my father. They gave him safety, comfort, dignity, and love in the midst of a terrible and awful disease, and for giving my family peace when we needed it most. If you are looking for a place for someone you love ” or if you are considering supporting a care home that genuinely changes lives ” this is a place worthy of your trust and your support. From the bottom of my heart: thank you, Bubbe and Zayde’s Place. You carried us when we could not carry ourselves.

Bubbe and Zayde’s Place provided a caring and safe home for my husband. He spent his days walking the very large, well-kept grounds and talking to the friendly staff. The staff is hard-working and knowledgeable, most have been there for many years and they care about the residents. They worked with our family and I to make his days as happy and pleasant as possible.

I moved my mother from a large and different assisted living facility 3 years ago. Incredible difference with the owners and staff at Bubbe and Zaydes working to bring a feeling of being at home. Living in an actual home, with gardens for walking, and dogs, birds and rabbits, and neighbors in the other homes. Well kept and the BEST staff.

My Mother resided at Bubbe and Zayde's Place for over 7 years. I had been taking care of her at home for the 10 years previous to that. Being that I am an RN, I thought I could handle it all. But, I soon found out that was not the case. I needed to find a place that I felt could provide warm and compassionate care for my Mother. I visited a number of facilities. Bubbe and Zayde's stood out high above the rest. They now have a group of 6 homes with adjoining backyards. The staff is caring and attentive, and they are quick to resolve any issues or concerns you may have. My mother needed help for all activities of daily living that most of us take for granted. They were patient and kind and took time to feed her and give her her favorite coffee every day, when she could no longer hold the cup. In the last 2 weeks before my mother's passing, they always came to check on us and see if we were both okay or if we needed anything at all. Without any reservations, I would highly recommend Bubbe and Zayde's for their excellent and compassionate care. I also happen to be a Hospice Nurse, and I can honestly say that my mom's final days were spent in a calm and caring environment and that she was at peace. Bubbe and Zayde’s Place was a wonderful home for my father. The owners and staff are attentive, kind and caring. They treated my father like family and I am so grateful for all they did for us. The minute you walk into Bubbe and Zayde’s place you feel at home with the clean and spacious rooms and beautiful, lush backyard. I will not stop recommending them to all my friends. Thank you!!!

You owe it to yourself to put Bubbe & Zaydes at the top of your list, you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for a QUALITY and UNIQUE facility for your loved one, look no further. From the Administrators to the Care Givers, this is a true community of caring individuals. Bubbes & Zaydes is a group of homes and it is unique in that the backyards back up to each other and they have created beautiful grounds between the homes, creating a lovely community for their residents. This is a community that is always looking out for the best interest of their residents. From day one, I have always rested easy knowing the my Dad was in a safe, caring and loving environment. Before Bubbe & Zaydes my Dad was just one of many residents in a big box Senior Community, now he is a member of a loving home environment where we have seen him thrive. Thank you to the entire team at Bubbe & Zaydes for taking such good care of my Dad and all your residents. We absolutely LOVE Bubbe & Zaydes and recommend it HIGHLY. I wish I could give it more that just 5 stars, it's that good!

My Grandfather has lived here for almost three years and is incredibly happy here. The staff is wonderful. We've become friends with many other residents as well as their families. The facility feels more like a boutique hotel. I am so glad we chose Bubbe & Zaydes Place! I love knowing that my Grandfather is so well cared for. I highly recommend it.

When it came time for us to put our Mom in a home we chose Bubbe & Zaydes Place. They treated Mom better than we coyld have ever imagined. The staff is attentive and always available. They take care of everything and help you through this very emotional time in your life. I highly recommend this place for anyone that needs a place for a loved one. The owner Bonnie is one of a kind. A true angel. My family and I are forever indebted to her.
