Staff was excellent, rehab was a joy to work with. My room was always clean. The only issue I had, and would keep me from returning was food? Eggs were canned, had very little or bad tasting. I complained and dietary made a personal visit. Their solution was more gravy? Was I abused? NO, BUT THE FOOD WAS CRAP Thank goodness my wife brought me meals and snacks. I was offered showers several times a week, and staff was excellent, I did not feel embarrassed being naked, and staff was very protective of me. Other than food, this place was excellent. March 2025

I was well cared for while I was there. Great nurses and the physical therapy workers were great. I was there a few weeks and housekeeping cleaned room every day.

My mother had recently had hip replacement surgery on August 11th at Cox Rehab facility. Unfortunately the Dr made an unfortunate error and sent her home early which the next day she fell and it ignited a whirlwind of back n forth stays for my mother in different facilities. As time went on she improved and we finally ended up in Nixa rehab for her final stop for 5 days and they did a wonderful job and really helped my mom feel comfortable and welcome. She wasn’t there long but long enough to get her over the hump to go home. Just wanna thank Adam and his staff for a great stay and for all their help. Listen no nursing home is perfect but these people were extremely genuine and were so helpful. Thank you all at Nixa Rehab & Nursing.

Wow this place is clean, I have been to facilities before that as soon as you head down the halls you are wanting to leave because of the stains in the carpet or the odors in the hall. Not here, this place looks great and no bad odors. The staff was very friendly and great at answering questions. The residents staying here looked happy and clean.

I have been in this facility many times. Each time I visit, everyone greets me with a smile. The facility is beautiful, always very clean, and staff all seem very friendly. The residents appear well taken care of and I have never encountered any odors that you sometimes experience in care facilities. I wouldn't hesitate to place a loved one under the care of the team at Nixa Nursing & Rehab.

First and foremost, I want to be fair with the treatment my mom received while she was a resident at this facility. She recently had a knee replacement and her doctor had recommended staying at a rehab facility to strengthen her leg muscles instead of going home. After reviewing several nursing facilities in the area, this facility was rated through Medicare as a 4 star facility and we agreed to place her there for a length of 2 - 3 weeks to receive Physical therapy. (I should have read the Google reviews). My first thought when mom was received and taken to her room was to turn around and take her home because of the strong pungent odor coming from the hall where her room was located and the rudeness of one nurses aid. The nurse on duty was very kind as well as other RN's Brittany and Melody. Over the weekend mom had asked for a bed pan from one of the weekend staff in which she received, but the NA had left and didn't check on her for over 4 hours. Need I say what happened. Understanding that the staff was shorthanded, this is still UNACCEPTABLE!. Mom also laid in bed with a lot of pain literally begging for a pain pill and was hours in between what was prescribed by her physician. After talking to the nursing staff Monday morning, I thought all of mom's concerns had been corrected. They were not. Tuesday's overnight staff had neglected her concerns for the pain she was experiencing. And again, thought I had corrected our concerns with the morning staff. I had left the facility at 3PM on Wednesday feeling comfortable with her care. I got a call from mom at 8:30PM crying because a NA had roughly grabbed mom by her arm and bad leg to turn her which created severe pain to shoot up through her leg. Asking for pain medication, the same NA took her call button and tied it to a chair so mom couldn't reach it. Enough was enough, the next morning I informed the social worker that we were taking mom out of the facility because of the horrible treatment she was receiving, mostly from the night shift. I will say that her time spent with Amanda and Kelly, her Therapist was outstanding. If it wasn't for this, I would not rate this facility more than 1 star. There are good people and care givers at this facility which should take all these low rated reviews and use more oversight in correcting these issues and addressing the "bad apples" that work there.

This is an amazing place the staff are amazing and dedicated. The 1 star reviews do not represent the true description of the home and their staff. 2020 was a rough year for Healthcare in general, but these staff were amazing and truly portrayed a true ESSENTIAL WORKER work ethic. They provide excellent care to those who call this facility home!

My mother was there for a little over 3 years and this nursing home took excellent care of her. The staff is caring, trained, organized, and professional. I can't say enough about them! My mom had several physical issues and every single time the staff took care of them, had doctors in different specialties go to the facility to care for her. They are currently having a total remodel so I hope it will make it easier for the staff to function. I would recommend this facility higher than 5 stars if I could.

The therapy staff there is absolutely amazing! The health care workers are also very caring and sensitive to patients needs. I am very impressed so far. My mom has been treated very kindly by all and I'm greatfull that the 3 therapists, asst. nursing director and social worker there are so willing to stay in touch by phone when I can't be there with her. God bless the staff and keep doing what you are already doing so well !!
