Wonderful staff they work very hard to take care of their residents
May 2026
God bless the residents of this quaint, clean, secure facility.
January 2026
My mother was there for four weeks for rehab. The room was nice and big. The staff was very patient and nice. My mother was having some anxiety and memory issues, very impatient, but the staff was very nice and patient with her. They were short staffed, but did the best they could. I especially appreciated the nurse aide Ashley, she was real sweet to my mother, and very patient. She took that little extra time with her. The facility was very clean as well. I reccomend this facility for anyone needing rehabilitation services. Thank you so much for taking good care of my mom..°

All the employees are very nice. Especially the employees in the front when you walk into the building, they are very helpful.

The management team, nurses, aids, and physical therapy staff couldn’t have been any more caring and helpful from the moment Imy mom arrived. They made sure sheI had meals and snacks to her satisfaction. The nurses aids went over and beyond to make us feel at home. I could not have asked for any better treatment during my moms stay. There is no doubt I would choose this facility again for recovery and physical therapy if needed. I highly recommend them.

Nurses are Wonderful and CNA's!
August 2025
I do not have enough good things to say about the Laurels. The employees are the best. The nurses and aides are so knowledgeable and nice. They are what all customer service people should be like. The Physical Therapy people are excellent. They know what they are doing and are so good with people. When we left there I felt like I was leaving friends. I recommend this place when you need this type of care. The food is not really all that bad as long as you are not really picky. Actually the food is better there than the hospital. I know that no one wants to be in a facility like this, but this has to be one of the very best out there. Keep it up Laurels of Bedford!!!

OMG. I honestly didn't think I was going to be able to find a rehab facility for my mom. I did a surprise walk through, but you still don't know what the care would be like for your loved one after a walk through. I went with my gut and chose them. This facility was amazing. Everyone was amazing, gentle, patient, caring, understanding, but more than anything they actually loved my mom. They treated my mom with such care and gentleness and always went out of their way to make sure mom felt okay and had everything she needed. I will only recommend this facility now to anyone that asks me. Also near the end when she was finally at a place to be transferred to her sister's house for hospice, they made sure everything was setup for the transfer and coordinated everything with Clara's Home Hospice Care which made for a smooth transfer. Mom even wanted to go back to The Laurels and everyone at the Laurels that I spoke to was so sorry to see her leave and wanted her to stay. Unfortunately, it was too late to possibly transfer her anywhere!! • I really want to thank everyone for making us feel at home and for everything they did for my mom to make sure she was happy and cared for more than I ever could have imagined. When I say everyone I mean EVERYONE from the front door ladies, cafeteria staff, nurses, aides, administrator, managers, nurses from other areas, therapy, hospice nurse, laundry (to find her own pillow case), I know I'm forgetting some, but you get the idea. I hope they are still here when or if I need to go to a facility because I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. BTW Their therapy department is amazing. So big with everything you would possibly need for recovery. Thank you for loving and caring for my mom. It means the world to me that she had all of you caring for her until almost the end. From the bottom of my heart I know she had the care she needed and deserved well beyond anything I ever imagined. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and my mom's!!!!! Holly & Rose

Husband was very well cared for by nursing and therapy staff. We especially want to recognize Ashley, our nurse, and Amanda, our CNA.

Our mom was there for rehab for almost 3 months. I was very skeptical due to past experience was not good at all. A few years ago they would have gotten negative 10 stars. 90% of the staff was GREAT! It was very clean. The biggest issue was their food is not good.

My wife was at Laurels just over 3 weeks, in the rehab wing. Overall a nice place. Estimate 75% - 80% of the staff were excellent and very caring (an impressive percentage). PT / OT were great. Initial problem was a very negative side effect of certain medications requiring hospitalization for 2 weeks before Laurels. 2 meds were discontinued and the doctors tried increasing the interval between the others from 2 to 3 hours. That timing was critical. The standard guideline of meds plus or minus an hour proved to be disastrous, but a couple nurses held to that standard. It took a few days for most of the nurses to really understand that, and a few never did. Another complication – eating protein within 30 minutes before or an hour after meds negated their effect because both use the same receptors in the gut. So timing of meds and meals was also critical. Unfortunately, meal timing was undependable. In her wing, breakfast could vary from 7:30 – 10:45, lunch from 12:30 – 2:30, and dinner from 5:30 – 8:00. Portions were quite small; she was always hungry. One of the admitting diagnoses was calorie – protein malnutrition, and this was never addressed. What led to leaving a day early was a medication error. The nurse on night shift insisted she take a double dose of meds or she’d throw them all away. Refusing would lead to not being able to function for several hours, while taking them might lead back to the overdose causing the whole problem. Overall, though, she’d probably stay here again if she really needed to.

I had a wonderful experience with The Laurels of Bedford during my dad's short-term stay. The staff were caring and helpful, and the registration process was smooth. I received excellent support from the main office, who patiently answered all my questions and considered my dad's needs. Overall, The Laurels of Bedford was a clean, well-managed facility that provided outstanding care.

Every staff member was amazing. They genuinely cared for my mother and got to know her the short time she stayed there. I would give it a 5 but my only negative was would have liked the case management staff contact myself or sister in regards to my mothers stay and ultimate discharge plan. The only time we spoke to SW was on day of discharge and we had to sign AMA paperwork because it was a ‘rushed’ discharge when it actually it wasn’t if they had communicated with us on day 1.

My grandfather recently broke his leg and had to be admitted for physical therapy and extra care. He says his therapist and therapy are helping and he likes it. He can throw down in the kitchen, but said he enjoys the food. I am grateful for the CNAs and the care they have given along with the rest of the staff. I can’t complain!
August 2023
I had good care while here a couple of my nurses were wonderful. My PT/Ot therapist were kind and helped me get back in shape after a knee surgery. No place will be perfect and could use improvements but if I needed to I would come back . The food could be better

Medicare was going to pay for my father to be there for 21 days after leaving the hospital, but I pulled him out if there after only 13 days for subpart care. He lost weight, he was also going to radiation treatments and I get a call one day from a radiologist saying he looked unkempt and his Depends was full. My father didn't need Depends. I called the Director of Nursing 4 times and she never called me back. We were supposed to have a Zoom call, the activity director failed to show up to the fit one, the second one had no audio and she never called me back to reschedule. Communication is non existent. My father withdrew and it took his over a week to get back to his old self. I don't understand how Bronson Battle Creek can recommend this place.

The outside world has no idea how hard it is to work in the health care system. They are working with patients that families don't have time to care for family members at home, because they still need to work. Or don't have the skills. needed for their care.
