I was sent here after right ankle surgery for post operation rehab. Im a diabetic and it never fails they give me sugary desserts for lunch and dinner. Sandwiches and hot dogs for dinner. Dietitian came to talk to me. I mentioned all this to her. No changes. Im having to have family and friends bring me food from outside. Breakfast today says toast and coffee. No toast but muffin full of sugar and no coffee ever given.

Last night (3/14/26) my wife called me at 8:30 pm to complain that she had not been in approx. 2 hours from a bowel movement in bed. My wife called her button to be changed but no one ever came to her aid. When her nurse finally came in (not to change but to inquire) she dismissed her concerns and left again. When I called the nurses station I asked them to check on her, and they did. I am very disappointed in how the first aid reacted. When a nurse came into her room , she brought the aid in and really dressed her down. My wife was happy and I am happy. Thank you for taking care of this!!

We recently had a very disappointing experience with the admissions process when my 94-year-old mother was admitted for post-surgery rehabilitation. The transition was far from smooth, and the lack of coordination during such a critical time was unacceptable. We had find missing furniture that had been taken from her room. No staff met with us upon admission; only nursing staff on duty, whom we had to seek out. The DNR documentation was not transferred from Memorial-Hermann Hospital. Leading to confusion when she was sent by ambulance to the ER. Furthermore, we found the evening and night-shift staffing to be marginal at best. During these hours, it was clear that the facility was under-resourced, which is deeply concerning for elderly patients requiring attentive post-surgical care. While we hope for better, the administrative hurdles and thin staffing made for a very difficult stay.

When this place was named Regent Care of the Woodlands, my mother had a lengthy stay at this facility. They treated my mother well and that was not an easy task given her personality and condition. The staff treated her like one of the family and tried to keep her busy and out of trouble. I was always contacted if something was not right or if I needed to come help. The administration was super helpful in dealing with me and my limited knowledge at the time of policy and procedures and literally walked me through the entire process.

Regent care at the woodlands goes above and beyond. I want to highlight : TJ, Theresa, Amber, Elizabeth, Melanie, Linda , Crystal, Thomas, Faith, Mahagomy, Angela and all others who I can now call family. I can honestly say that I’ve been pleased with the service and Regent continues to provide exceptional care for my family. Both my parents are in residence since April 2023. Every nursing home is not perfect but I can assure you that due diligence, clear communication and dignity is given by staff members of Regent care in the Woodlands. I’m so glad to have chosen this facility. I’m confident in the resources and leadership of Angela, who serves as the director of the facility. She has an amazing team and they all work hard. Angela is on top of it all and communication is clear. I live in San Francisco/CA and even a phone call to the facility brings reassurance of my parents’ well being and I know they’re being taken care of with dignity, respect and great comfort. My mother was here a couple of months ago. We brought her here after she had gone to another facility, the other facility could have cared less about her recovery. My mother had been in the hospital for an illness and needed rehabilitation. After really looking at reviews online and going to regent, I really felt that this would be a better fit for her. She received her meds when she needed them and rehab was great. After some weeks she was finally getting back to how she was before the illness. I did give only 4 stars because of the food, it was not what my mother was used to, I had to bring in food to her. But overall my mother was very pleased with regent. I would recommend them.

Our experience at Regent Care Center was awesome. My mother was in the hospital and needed three weeks of rehab to gain her strength from her illness. After getting a list from the hospital and reading reviews, none of the facilities were desirable and did not meet our criteria. After a drop-in visit at Regent Care Center, I met the Director of Nursing, Mya, who gave me a tour and discussed my mother's care needs and our expectations. We moved her in and she was well taken care of and happy. After three weeks of OT and PT and good care by the nursing staff, she went home and is doing well. The only reason I did not give the facility 5 stars was the food was not adequate for my mother. We ended up bring her healthy food to support her autoimmune disease. If you have a family member who needs rehab after an illness or injury, I recommend Regent Care.

First I'd like to respond to Mrs Pitts below me. My mother has been a Patient here for the last 2 months. I've spent a lot of time at Regent Care. I also have experience going thru many issues with my parents care at hospitals, longterm acute care hospitals, and 3 different skilled nursing facilities. So I know a lot about the industry. I'm very sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience regarding your mother. But I can assure you Race had absolutely Nothing to do with their decision. I know this because there are Many patients at Regent that are Black, many of Hispanic origins, etc. There are also a great deal of RN's, CNA's, and Therapists who are Black or Hispanic. The Managers of both Nursing and Therapy are both Black. With all that in mind it would seem quite evident that your assumption that race was a contributing factor is most obviously wrong. There are many reasons for which a person might be denied. If she is on Medicare, as my mother is, there are dozens of strict guidelines facilities are forced to follow to the letter just for admission, much less how they are allowed to care for patients. Granted, Mr Martin's response was poorly made and should have been handled differently. As for my review of the Regent Care, as I mentioned I've experienced many medical facilities in the last 2 years, and most especially in the last 6 months. 2 of them are nearby Houston Northwest Hospital. The first took care of my brother for a time. He was on the Texas Gold Card system and had limited choices. But that place was a cesspool! More recently my mother had to stay in a nursing home in order to recover from major surgery. I toured another facility that had good ratings at Medicare's own website. Visiting with them I was highly impressed by the look of the facility. It was very clean and had recently been renovated. It was gorgeous. However, I learned the hard way that just because it looks great doesn't mean it operates that way. We had a horrible experience there. And it all boils down to the people. Most of the nurses didn't seem to care about their job and it showed in my mother's care. Regent care doesn't look too pretty. In fact the decor looks like it was built in the late 60s and hasn't been changed since. They keep it clean, don't get me wrong there. But it's certainly dated. However the Staff is amongst the Best that I've worked with in overseeing my mother's care. Regents Medicare rankings aren't great, but they're rising slowly. And that's because the new administration has been making swift changes to the staff to weed out those who only care about their paychecks. As I understand from a man whose worked there for many years, there are few left who worked for the last 2 administrators. The nurses, therapists, and social worker are all compassionate, caring human beings who take pride in their work and the people they care for. My mother's condition has made it very difficult for the nursing staff and therapists alike. But they have all put in extra effort and patience and the strides in her recovery show it. Don't be fooled by fancy veneers, it's the people who make all the difference. And the people at Regent Care are the best I've found.
