I can’t say enough good things about The Plaza at Richardson! The facility is always clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The nurses and caregivers go above and beyond”not only meeting medical needs but also showing kindness and patience every single day. Communication has been excellent; I’m always kept informed and never left with unanswered questions. What stands out the most is the genuine compassion from everyone here. Knowing our clients are safe, comfortable, and surrounded by people who care gives me so much peace of mind. I am so grateful for their team and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will truly be cared for.

My father, who had Alzheimer’s, lived in The Plaza for almost a full year, until he passed away (at 90 years and ten months old) in June/2025. The staff were so very kind and caring toward him. The physical therapists were great at keeping him active. The nurses and CNA’s were helpful anytime they were called upon, tending to everything from baths, getting him dressed, cleaning his room, changing bedding, etc. The admissions staff were also very courteous and helpful in getting him settled in. We were thankful that, after his first week at The Plaza, during which he lived in a room in their Memory Ward, it was determined that he would be able to move out of the Memory Care wing and into a room on their main floor. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that, in the beginning, we had some concerns about the laundry and bathing schedule. But, it seems that was because of a staff turnover. After the first six weeks or so, all the issues had been addressed. The staff made sure he had a wonderful, compatible roommate, was well fed and cared for, and received attentive medical care. We appreciated very much how quickly the nurses would alert us of any medicine changes, or any behavioral or health concerns they had for my dad. He was very well loved and cared for at The Plaza.

From the nurses and aides to the therapy team, everyone goes above and beyond to make sure patients feel comfortable and supported. My dad has been staying there for a few months now and I could not be happier. This place has a much happier atmosphere than the last facility he was in. I walked in and the staff was smiley, attentive, and very aware of what he needed. He has a better room, and it’s clean. Glad we made the change.

My grandmother spent her last few days here for hospice. They were so caring. She’d previously been living at The Eldorado down the street where she saw my family every day. My FIL is now living at The Plaza, and I have nothing but nice things to say about his care now. My husband sees him multiple times a day and if there is any issues with him needing cleaning, etc., the staff is right there! The admin, social worker and nursing staff are consistent. That means a lot to those who are unable to, for WHATEVER reason, care for their loved ones in their own home.

I am so grateful to have found The Plaza at Richardson. My mom has been there since November 2024 in Memory Care. Katrece and Lia made the admissions process easy and Tina in the business office has been nothing but a joy to work with since she's gotten settled. I have been impressed with the nursing staff, they give me confidence that they are giving my mom the care she deserves.

This a very nice and clean place. Katrece was extremely helpful in getting my sister admitted. She walked us through all of the paperwork. All of the staff members were very helpful and friendly. The staff has reached out several times to check to see if we had any concerns.

My Dad was at this location for more than 1 month after his stroke. Admission was easy, thanks to Katrece. Overall the place had caring nurses and staff. They catered well to my Dad's needs - diet, therapy, medications. If the team had a few more personnel and a bit better response time, it would be 5 stars.

I love this facility. My mother was transported from another facility to this one and I truly love the staff. They are nice and they take special care of your loved one(s). I especially like the communication from the facility about my mother’s condition etc.. This really helps to make things much easier.

I have read the reviews of this place. The reviews that were made were several years ago. I recently put my mom here she has dementia and she's pretty far along. They have hired a whole new crew for this place with most of them starting in January 2024. I had my mother admitted the second week of June. I have popped in at different times of the day and quite frequently I might add. I love my mother and want to make sure that she is getting the care that she needs. I have not seen any miss treatment or neglect where my mother has been concerned. I am getting to know the workers and they are so far quite great.

We recently had two family members stay here and appreciated the care the staff provided. Like any nursing home, they are not able to provide the same degree of care that you or a 24/7 caretaker could provide at home. However, I went in the home many times unannounced at all hours of the day, and I always saw staff being kind and gentle with my family. The facility is older, but it is very clean, and they freshened and painted the room for my family when they arrived. The room my family was in had a private shower, as opposed to previous facilities with a "shower room" shared by all residents. We also liked that the temperature was controlled individually in each room. The food is hot and varied, and my family was satisfied with it. The rehab staff is very nice, and there are activities almost every day for residents. The admissions director was very helpful and worked hard to help us get in within the timeframe that we needed. Overall, it was a good, caring experience!

Meal consist of tomato soup, chips and grilled cheeze. Another time Turkey and noodles with noodle soup. Adding Fruit cups does not seem to be a very balanced meal. Wonder if they employe a dietitian?
