STAFF Do better! SMH moving family out of facility asap.

I went through a traumatic injury and the staff helped me heal through it all. I'm very grateful they were there. The nurses were always cheerful and the nurses aides and orderlies were promptly there when I pressed the call light button. The social worker helped me get proper after care and head management made sure I stayed on track when I geared off course with my treatment plan. The physical therapy department helped me gain mobility back when by the end of my stay I was walking on my own when I went inusing a walker. Highly recommend Sandstone Bountiful!

This place is wonderful! Even when short-staffed, the resident advocates are cheery and happy to help. I would feel a sense of relief knowing any of my older family members stayed at this place. One of my favorite Resident Advocates has to be Brooke Turner. She always has great relationships with anyone in her section and is always happy to assist others. She's a fantastic person to have care for your family!

This place has been my home for the last 15 months and for lack of better words is magical mitch is the administrator and our fearless leader and him and his entire staff are amazing they go above and beyond daily to meet all of my care needs i also need to mention jen both brookes richard and the rest of the amazing staff also i would like to mention gracie she is our activities Superstar she puts so much thought and love into her everyday spoiling of all of us. I love north park and their amazing care team! So attentive to each resident’s needs and they do their best to handle any issues that come up. Some of the most amazing staff I have ever met. It was always so peaceful and the residents seemed truly happy.

My father was cared for here. The staff is AMAZING - so caring and genuine! The director of nursing, Richard, is very dedicated to resident satisfaction and Mitchel, their administrator, cares deeply about the residents, families, and his staff. I am happy to recommend them!

There super good with a speedy recovery for my mom that was in a coma for 3 wks and had 2 strokes.she had no feeling was paralyzed in her whole left side of her body lost eye site hearing and In 3 months they got her 90 percent mobile she could walk normal feelings came back 50 percentage eye site and hearing came back learned how to talk all over again. I highly recommend them. I just wish they had the same place up here in Alaska.

This facility and it's whole entire staff under the leadership of it's amazing administrator Garrett have nursed me back to health and given me a 2nd chance at life the business office manager elva the admissions director brchell and the CNA coordinator brooke are rays of sunshine and the entire nursing and cna and the rest of the staff go above and beyond i recommend this place so much for all youre loved ones in need of care

I previously provided a low rating due to some issues with my dad’s care at this facility. After seeing how the staff has come together to help my dad with his concerns after understanding what they were, I have changed my rating to 4 stars. They are working really hard to help us with figuring out what’s next for my dad and what our options are for assistance. They have made sure that a nurse that was treating him poorly doesn’t take care of him anymore and have been compassionate with me as his daughter searching for answers on how to keep him safe in the future and what’s next after his stay with them. The only thing that is still a concern is the time it takes for a call light to be answered but I know that they are trying to improve. I’m very grateful for all the support we’ve been given in our difficult time!

Hard working, caring and responsive. Have worked in such facilities before and know the difficulties faced with the patients and their families, and the frequent negative feelings surrounding their situations. It's tough, and they do a great job handling it. Mom spent two weeks there, and we have nothing but praise for their work and kindness.

Great people! I have a spinal cord injury that has taken a lot of work to get to a place where I’m able to walk again. They’ve been instrumental in helping me do this. All of the staff are first rate!! I highly recommend North Canyon Care Center!!

O Daniel Alder 2 reviews in the last week-Edit Our family member has been in this facility for nearly 2 years. This facility always seems to be understaffed. Our family has found that we must augment daily the care given to our resident family member in this facility, if they are to be fully cared for. There are a number of wonderful, helpful staff members at this facility, and therefore 2 stars. Without them, we would rate this a half star. As individuals, these staff members demonstrate the Core Values Avalon posts on their website; therefore, they as individuals deserve 5 stars. Those staff members dedicated to quality care of the patient are not able to meet all the needs for the patients in this facility, due to chronic staff shortages and staff turnover. This appears to be both a leadership and organizational problem. Those staff members who are less dedicated to the quality of care advertised by Avalon seem to resort to processes and effort levels that diminish a response to the basic patient needs. Perhaps we best accept their verbalized advice that we "go elsewhere if (we) don't like what (they) do here".

My stay here for the most part has been good. The first three days my meals were cold and needed reheating. Then I was able to go to the dining room and the meals were really good. The staff was really top notch. Some standouts were Nurses Megan, a Robert, Steph, and Andrew. CNA Kaleah, Emily, Stephanie and esp Deanna. The worst part was showers. 5 days between first two and six before next one. That's unexceptible. Except for that I would love to use you again if needed.

The day our mother was supposed to be transferred from Logan to Bountiful to a different care center, they gave away her bed and we had to scramble to find a place for her to go. North Canyon was great to work with and extremely helpful in making the arrangements. The staff was friendly and kind and mom was pleased with the facility. We were so grateful for the rescue!

My mom was there recovering from an illness. The room was always clean. Mom recieved great meals. Her recovery time was really smooth. Anytime I stopped in the nurse staff answered any question I had. If your loved ones need rehabilitation services use North Canyon.

My Grandmother spent two weeks at North Canyon Care Center. The staff was amazing. Everyone was so helpful, attentive and kind.

My dad is at North Canyon and they are all amazing.. He has had two massive strokes and I just have to say, their speech theropist is amazing. Beyond anything else, this feels like a place geared towards living and getting better, not a place to just kick back and wait until you die like South Davis across the street. Every facility there is well kept and the head nurse is amazing. (She lets the CNA's know what she expects and doesn't take less.) The one complaint I really have about North Canyon is their Doctor, Dr. Southworth. He is a good doctor but WAY too busy to do everything he is trying to. He is the doctor for almost every nursing home in the area, is a hospitalist and much much more. Some times I question his judgment because it feels like he is confusing my dad with another person.. OH, one other thing is that the staff seems to be loosing my dads clothes. :/ All that being said, I still think it's by far the best we have found and I would recommend them to anyone.
