Recently toured this skilled nursing facility and was very impressed. Nestled in Painesville, Ohio, it offers a warm, welcoming environment with a more personal feel than larger facilities. The longevity of the staff speaks volumes about their dedication and the quality of care provided to residents. I’ve also had the pleasure of getting to know Brooke in admissions and marketing and look forward to a continued partnership with her and the Homestead II team. Homestead II Mingle Jingle event was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely excited to make the event special for the families attending. Santa was fantastic”warm, engaging, and so convincing that my kids were completely enchanted. He took his time with each child and made the experience feel truly magical rather than rushed. The overall atmosphere was festive, well-organized, and perfect for families. My kids had an amazing time, and I will be looking forward to this event next year

I’m a retired Organization Development consultant. OD is the study of human dynamics in the workplace, helping groups function well together. The culture at Homestead ll is the best I have ever seen. My son is in Homestead ll. I have been here a week. The people who work here are amazing. They function like a loving family, working with people who are not at the best stage of life. My mom suffered multiple strokes after battling stage 4 lung cancer for years, and my dad and I could not be more grateful that she ended up at the homestead II for rehab. From the moment we arrived here by ambulance they made us feel like family. They kept her comfortable, clean, and most importantly-safe. It gave my dad and I a lot of peace of mind when we could not be by her side 24/7. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy were very supportive and accommodated her specific needs(thank you Todd, Yvonne, and Anna banana). Her nurses went above and beyond to make sure her complicated medications and new feeding tube were always working and always on time (thank you Lisa, Helen, and Pam). Every single STNA showed my mom love and care when they changed her, bathed her, etc and gave my dad and I a lot of tips on how to care for her at home. We decided to bring her home with hospice care, and Lisa the social worker made this difficult transition completely seamless. She thought of every detail for us and I cannot express how thankful we are to have her holding are hands while we navigate this unknown and difficult territory.

Visited friend there. Nursing stations and entrance are clean and nice. But you can tell buildings are old. Rooms are not like the pictures as wide angle lens make them look much bigger and newer than they really are. They are more like a dorm room. Some beds face into a bare corner - very depressing. You might walk thru smoke or smell heavy cigarette smell around the entrance as that's where staff seems to smoke. Schedule and coordination? Alot of times does not seem like the left hand knows what the right hand is doing. But alot of staff do seem nice and caring.

I currently have both of my parents at Homestead II. One is a resident for long term care and the other is their for rehab. The care they are both getting is fantastic. The staff is awesome and keep you updated on thier condition, any issues that may come up. They give you regular progress as well.

I had to find a rehab center that our insurance company would cover her stay. I had to choose from 10 centers in the area, and finally found a dimond in the rough. After going to 4 rehab centers in the last year where they treated her as if she didn't exist. The food is good. The staff treat her as she is a part of the family. Who wouldn't want that for your loved one. They also have 2 aids and a nurse on staff 24/7. You know when you go to a center and you smell urine. Here it smells clean and they have an air purifying system. They clean her room at least once a day. Don't pass up on this gem if you really want great care for your loved ones.

I am currently at Homestead ll for rehab following a fall resulting in a broken hip and broken femur. I am so impressed with this facility. The care given to all patients is phenomenal. I see so much respect given to the long term patients too. PT and OT therapists are top notch. I would definitely recommend Homestead ll to anyone seeking either short term or long term care.

My mother was at this facility for a couple of weeks and I felt that all the caregivers were very thoughtful and kind. They do need to do some updates and I believe that they should limit the residents to no more than two to a room.

My dad is recovering from pneumonia and has been at Homestead II for about a week doing PT until he is strong enough to go home. Homestead is an older building and nothing fancy at first glance, but don't discount it as an option for treatment. From the moment we arrived, I have been impressed with the care and patience of the staff. They are attentive, they listen, they are compassionate and they are skilled. The ratio of staff to residents seems effective and we were always able to get assistance and questions answered when needed. Additionally, the food is quite tasty and is prepared with care. I would recommend this facility when searching for care options again. Thank you!

Clean, responsive, professional (except for blood work collector). Nurses and staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. We had a phone issue which staff worked hard to correct but it turned out it was our error. Lovely location too!

Homestead 2 meets and exceeds all of my expectations for rehabilitation and physical therapy. Im not treated like a number here, I'm treated like a person along with empathy, sencerity and diligence. I highly recommend Homestead 2 because of the exceptional care. You won't regret it.
