I truly have to say heritage is a wonderful place in The last 5 years I have had a roller coaster nightmare of going to five different facilities there were some that I was physically and mentally abused and I can truly say the staff in heritage are a incredible bunch of nurses daughters in professionals I considered a blessing to be able to be here it was the answer to a prayer that I've been praying for many years I finally feel comfortable I finally feel at peace I finally feel my life is not in danger now you got to understand no matter where you go there's going to be some bad with the good but I believe it's our responsibility as a Christian and as a American to try to rectify those situations amongst ourselves I had a problem with one or two of AIDS and I just asked if I could speak to them alone and I just told them how I felt and I accepted and listened to what they had to say also and I believe unfortunately why some of these staff members don't have the best positive attitude that they can is their understaffed and overworked and I could appreciate that I know how hard it can be I've been a business owner myself but the one thing that I have found out is you're only good as your lowest employee and I think it's responsible to every now and then let the owners come walk around and talk to people get their opinions on what's going on maybe put a suggestion box at the front counter on how can things be done different but also cost efficiency all those things have to be taken into consideration but I do love this place I do love the staff I haven't really met any of the people yet because I'm paralyzed and I am basically shackled to my bed 24/7 only time my I'm transferred out of my bed is when I go to the houses four times a week but I'm praying that one day that will change and I will be able to get a chair and be able to go outside of these four walls into the hallway to meet people to go to church services to go to the cafeteria to go play bingo on Monday night or to actually go outside and bring some fresh air for the first time in a long time these are things that are overlooked by a lot of people these days but somebody in my situation that had it all taken away stripped down to everything that I own being taken away (throwed away) because I was served in eviction notice on my apartment in New Orleans and I wasn't able to receive it so all my stuff was put out on the street but I believe this is God just stripping me down of everything so that he could build me back up I want to thank all the staff for being kind and treating me with respect and dignity like everybody should be God bless have a wonderful day
