My family has used Rosedale Health and Rehabilitation for several years with different family members. My father is the most recent loved one to be at the long term care facility. Today, the care team reminded me why our family has chosen and continues to use this facility. We have been able to communicate concerns and needs and have been met with compassion and action. We are grateful for the care teams understanding and readiness to make our family members stay comfortable.

The administrative , social worker and physical therapist are all very nice , but nursing staff is always short and most of the time are workers from agencies and don’t know the needs of the patients, some of them are also rude and have attitude. They are always short of supplies example wash clothes and chucks.The food is not great and my mom has CKD 3rd stage I already told the kitchen manager what she can and can’t eat but nothing was changed what ever is written in the paper that they serve in the tray was not the same food as they served. Every time they serve canned foods which is not healthy, hotdogs and all processed food, potatoes every day only in different recipes ex . Mash potatoes, grilled potatoes etc. All veggies are from the can. Nothing served is fresh even fruits.

Hi at first I loved the staff and the activities girls spot on ,rehabilitation therapy where very nice girls but I was not ready to go home I needed more rehabilitation not arts and crafts I was there for operation I had on my back nothing else I did not get enough. I felt like the rushed me Thursday, to get me out because me and a gentleman liked each other but that's not the point .the social worker was very nice to me and listen to my concern if I ever have to go back I will but changes need to be change in how they treat residents either if it's just to rehabilitation or long term only a few where very nice to me 3/11 great girls 11/7great girls I was in the 1unit love yall.

A friend discharged from MCV Hospital to a skilled nursing facility luckily chose Rosedale for his 20-day rehab. He was treated with great kindness and care by all the staff, assisted in every possible way, and possibly best of all, the food was always delicious! He ate every bite, which was extremely important to him since he was dangerously underweight. He was happy here, and I was happy to know that he was happy.

Rosedale Health and Rehabilitation is a great place for your family member. My brother has been residing at the facility for the past three months. The staff members are very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I, especially, would like to acknowledge Rosedale’s Business Office Manager. She was extremely helpful in assisting me with my needs concerning my family member and answering my questions in a very knowledgeable and patient manner. Her promptness in responding to my e-mails was on point. I highly recommend this facility.

Our family has been touring different facilities around richmond area in preparations for our grandmother that may need long term placement. We found out about Rosedale through a family friend who spoke very highly of the team and care. We arrived unannounced and unsure of we could tour but Amber was beyond helpful and so kind and understanding of our needs. Amber really helped walk us through the process by breaking down all the steps and process that would take place during the admissions process when we were ready to take that next step as a family. We have met with so many admissions teams around the area and hands down Rosedale has an AMAZING admissions person who really went the extra mile with us. Thank you!

I initially toured this nursing home a while back and, to be frank, was turned off by the customer service experience at the time. It left a lasting impression, and I had pretty much written the facility off as an option. However, I returned more recently on a Monday and was met by a new administrator ” and I have to say, the difference was night and day. It was hard to believe it was their first day; they addressed my prior concerns with genuine care, professionalism, and attention to detail. The tour this time was thorough, and the facility presented very well, clean, and welcoming. While we ultimately decided to place our grandfather elsewhere due to location, I left with a completely different (and very positive) view of this facility. The new leadership is a major step in the right direction, and I’m confident others will benefit from the improvements already underway.

The facility was clean, well-organized, and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Rosedale staff was very accommodating I was in an emergency situation in an emergency room here in Richmond they're representative received me and called the admissions manager Amber who was kind enough to accommodate me with a private room I even had dinner waiting for me I had left the emergency room a little late I had sandwiches drinks and snacks the therapy department greeted me and was very encouraging and I was able to complete the task was given I cannot speak enough of the professionalism and also they help me get to appointments that was just immediate and unplanned and for that I thank them Rachel did everything she could to keep me calm when I thought I was going to miss an appointment she helped me with transportation and she let me know that I was available for her every staff that I interacted with was kind enough to provide contact information for them for me support staff was awesome Vicky was nice Samantha was nice and some of the young ladies I didn't get their name but I just called them precious one all of my nurses I just appreciate them all I have been in a rehab situation for almost 4 months so this is just really great if I find myself needing rehabilitation I will not hesitate to come back to Rosedale because they make you feel special they have a way of putting a a name with your face thank you Rosedale we're family.

The facility wasn't the cleanest. The nurses were the worse. The social worker was on point, as well as the physical therapist and they are the reason we allowed our loved on to stay. When it was time for him to leave, the only clothing he took home was the clothing on his back, an additional shirt and one pair of pants. We sent seven pair pants, two pair shorts, ten shirts, ten pair socks and two pair shoes. They broke his teeth, so they took them out of his mouth and acted as if he didn't want them to be placed back in his mouth. We had family in and out ALL day and often when we came, he was soiled. He had a peg tube in and they said he wouldn't eat. Well, he's been home for five days and he has eaten soft foods every day. They just didn't want to take the time to feed him and putting liquids in his peg tube was much easier. I feel he would have been further along in his recovery now, if we didn't have to send him to Rosedale. If you have to send you loved one there, just make sure you are there in their face, EVERY DARN DAY as we were. I even reported a couple of people to the Director and nothing was done. As I said if it weren't for the social worker and the therapist and his assistant, we would have taken him out and took our chances at home. Finding a good skilled nursing facility is EXTEMELY hard, but this one was not it.

My son was just transferred here and the building is so nice and clean . Administrator came in the room to help with the admission which and a little hiccup but it was fixed immediately. All was good after wards looking forward so a great stay for my son . I gave 4 stars because there is a little room to grow and cause of the hiccup which I won’t disclose since it was a late admission. They were very accommodating and my son says the food is good so far . He says rehab team is great .

2021 Review of Manor Care Imperial on Bellevue in Richmond, Virginia: My close relative received post-hospital skilled nursing care in October of 2021. He received OT & PT after a lower extremity injury, as well as pulmonary support/monitoring after pneumonia. The staff exhibited professionalism, competence, and compassion. They customized his therapy to compensate for his limitations. Under OT/PT guidance, my relative improved muscle strength & stamina, and worked on safe transfers & fall prevention. They did a great job compassionately overcoming resistance & fear, further enabling my relative to gain confidence prior to discharge. The only area I think they could have done better was in making sure all staff were on the same page concerning durable medical equipment needed for discharge. Other than this one miscommunication, the care and attention to detail was excellent.

My father has been a resident at Manorcare for over 2 years, and he couldnt be happier. He loves the food, and the staff have become like family to him. Any time I have had any issues, they have been addressed quickly and thoroughly. The therapy department and the administrative staff is stellar! They are very involved in the life of the facility and are always readily available to residents and their family members. Recently, the media has not been kind to the facility, but take it from this family member, Manorcare is a great place if you are considering short-term rehabilitation or long term care for your loved one. I was a social worker in long term care and hospice for 15 years, so I know there is no "perfect facility", but I visit my dad almost daily, and I couldnt be happier with the care he receives.
