I visited my mom at Edgewater today, and I was very impressed with the overall experience. The facility was exceptionally clean, and I did not notice any unpleasant odors, unlike some other facilities I have visited. The staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. I would especially like to recognize Isha, the Case Manager, who was courteous, knowledgeable, and had a wonderful personality. She took the time to answer my questions and made me feel comfortable and confident that my mom is receiving excellent care. Great nursing staff - very attentive and kind. My mom was receiving some PT outside in the lovely sunshine and I was sitting in my vehicle. During our clinical rotation at Edgewater Skilled Nursing Facility, it was truly an excellent learning experience for my nursing students from Northwest College. The environment provided real, hands-on exposure to patient care, allowing students to practice their nursing skills in a supportive and professional setting. Throughout our time there, the staff consistently demonstrated kindness, professionalism, and a willingness to help, which played a significant role in shaping the students’ learning and confidence in the actual nursing field. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Ms. MJ Vicencio, RN, Director of Nursing, whose kind, accommodating, and highly professional manner made it easy for me to work closely with the team as a clinical instructor. Mr. Antonio, ADON, was also extremely helpful and engaged with the students, ensuring they received proper guidance whenever they needed support. I would also like to acknowledge Mr. Dennis, LVN and Treatment Nurse, who took the time to teach and supervise students in wound-care management, ensuring they understood proper treatment protocols and gained hands-on skills. Additionally, Ms. Nicole, LVN Charge Nurse, was professional, attentive, and always willing to support the students during their floor assignments. It was also inspiring for our students to work with Ms. Natali, LVN, a previous Northwest College graduate from LB Cohort 27, who was very accommodating and helped students understand what it means to practice safe medication administration while demonstrating kindness and compassion. Ms. Alex, LVN and Infection Control Nurse, also contributed greatly to the students’ experience by providing learning opportunities in immunization administration and introducing them to essential infection control documentation. I would also like to recognize Mr. Raul, LVN Charge Nurse, who supported the students during medication pass and demonstrated professionalism in his interaction with them. Lastly, I would like to thank Mr. David, the facility administrator, for being approachable, kind, and professional, and for welcoming us into the facility with open arms. Dave, the Administrator and MJ, the DON are very professional and very approachable, and easy to deal with. Both have pleasant demeanor. Case Manager Isha is a sweetheart and always wear a smile. From Adon Antonio, to Maricruz from Admission, and SW Penelope, and Vheryll from Medical Records, the Dietary Supervisor, Pao from MDS, and DSD are just few staff who are nothing but accommodating and helpful. With my 27 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry, I see when employees feel valued and supported by leaders like Dave & MJ, it shows how happy they are in their workplace. I really love Edgewater. My experience was Amazing!. My grandmother was there for 2 months she needed therapy. Winnie the DOR was Amazing got my grandmother to be independent again. I did not stay at Edgewater but my sister did. Prior to her stay I reviewed various rehab facilities because I have had some bad experiences at some of them. I was not disappointed it was everything the reviews said . The place was clean , the staff was great.

We go to Edgewater once a month to sing with the clients and praise Jesus. The people are always dressed and happy we are there. When we are around the clients, they always smell fresh It is hard to keep a place smelling fresh when most patients can't use the restrooms on their own.

I would like to commend Edgewater for the excellent care that was given to my aunt while there for 100 days. The staff was always kind, warm and accommodating. The facility was kept clean and odor free. Most impressive was the case manager, Isha who was professional, caring and attentive. Isha ensured that my aunt was taken care of while in patient and that her outpatient needs were met with exceptional expertise. She followed up with myself and her son and was an outstanding resprestative for the organization. Thank you all for taking care of our most precious family member. After the patients have lunch, staff consistently see to it that they return to a clean room and fresh beddings. They make sure patients are comfortable and ready for their naps. Diapers are changed, water pitchers are replenished and provide whatever the patients request. Thanks!

Let me start by sharing what it was like before I was admitted to edgewater. I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and it didn't look good so entering edgewater skill nursing center I was perelaized ,lost so much weight, I was 118 pounds lets just say I was very difficult patient to treat I was angry all the time .now what its like today I'm so glad that my family chose edgewater skill nursing ce ter I'm glad to say that i have been here two years and my progress has been so good I'm walking my weight has come back I'm 226 pounds my cancer has shrunk I'm almost in remission. I would highly recommend Edgewater to anyone looking for skilled nursing care for their loved one. MJ, Dave and the team at Edgewater are fantastic and I know they truly care about each patient. The facility is clean and smells great! This is a place you want your loved ones to get care.

5 stars I had a wonderful experience with Edgewater Skilled Nursing Center. The staff were compassionate, attentive, and truly cared for the residents. The facility was clean, well-maintained, and had a warm, welcoming environment. My Family member received excellent care during their stay, and they kept us informed every step of the way.
