The staff are caring, empathetic people who take excellent care of others' loved ones. I would not hesitate to have my mom admitted here should the need arise. This is THE facility on The Island for Islanders and Mainlanders alike who need either skilled or long-term care.

This is the nicest, most BEAUTIFUL skilled nursing & rehab facility/home I've ever stepped into! The grounds are beautiful! The administrator, Kendra is the most attentive, caring, compassionate administrator I've ever met! She truly cares 100% about every resident, making a point to know them all personally. She also cares about the staff that work there and wants to create the best possible, most pleasant environment for both the folks that reside there, as well as for the staff. I recommend this facility to any of my family and anyone else's loved ones.

What a wonderful, friendly caring place. The rehab is outstanding and has my husband strong and healthy and walking again without help. The food is real home cooking and delicious The staff is so kind and patient. We are so glad we came here and they have provided help in finding home healthcare back home

I came to the Cascades after a major surgery. I needed rehabilitation therapy to get stronger and stable so that I could return to my 'normal' life At first, I wasn't sure if this was the right place for me,but I was told that the physical therapy team was the best and would help me 'recover'. And that was true! I worked primarily with Evan for physical therapy n Shawn for occupational . They developed a plan for me ,guided me through it and got me back up ,strong and confident! Professional,concerned , experienced, reassuring,motivating - just a few words to describe them. I am truly thankful for them!

My stay during the time of great need for others to assist me with day to day life, physical and occupational therapy, new medications, and extreme physical limitations I couldn't have asked for a more caring team determined to get me back to independence. The nurses, doctors, housekeeping, food service and activities director and all the CNA 's are amazing. You can feel that they care and that your health and success is their goal wether it be for a short stay like myself or permanent provisions the number one focus are the people in the community. I'm so grateful for it all and the continuous encouragement I received. Infact as soon as I'm able to take my next step on this healing path I'm going to become a volunteer. To everyone at Cascades at Galveston I love you all and my deepest thanks.

You can really see a culture change happening at this facility the leadership team has really stepped up. The Marketer Terrell Pugh is very professional and informative I learned a lot from him upon my tour of the facility. You can tell he cares about his profession.

My husband is currently a patient at the Cascades Nursing Home in Galveston! He was in another facility before we moved him to Cascades and he is totally happy with his experience there and I am very pleased with the care and support that he’s receiving! Our loved ones are much happier when they like the place they live in!
