I’ve had a really positive experience with Cheryl the assistant at the adult day care room at this Alaris Health at Cedar Grove nursing home. She is incredibly attentive, patient, and genuinely care about the residents’ well-being. She does a great job organizing engaging activities that keep everyone involved, whether it’s games, music, crafts, or simple social time. The space itself is clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully set up to make residents feel comfortable and included. I especially appreciate how Cheryl encourages participation while still respecting individual needs and abilities. Thank you Cheryl for all you do! ALSO, Health Aid worker Marie - In a field where kindness and empathy make all the difference, Marie consistently goes above and beyond in her role. Initially This facility is amazing. Smelled clean not perfumey not covering up odors! The cleanliness of everything was noted It was comfortable and welcoming And homie, not at all institutional. Unfortunately we had to remove my family member from this facility as the medical care was substandard. Both her personal physician and our family who are very dissatisfied. A little more attention and being on top of what was going on would have alleviated a stay in the hospital for an extended period of time. Very disappointed.

I will say that so far, my father is taken good care of. I was worried at first due to lack of information regarding his health from the staff. However I have had a couple of meetings and my father does seem to be improving. He wants to return home and we would like that. We're not sure he's ready but he for the most part he has been clean when we visit him and he hasn't had any complaints. So I feel a little more at ease with knowing my father will be bathe and handled properly. Hopefully he won't need a very long term treatment meaning he's able to return home. In the meantime, Alaris continue to take good care of everyone there.

I saw comments on this page and I need it to comment , Gabriel is wonderful , he also grooms my son Henry hair , at blue unit I also knew Ahmet , Elky and Ozzy , they are all so good at their work and the dedication for their patients is the best. Evelyn the supervisor is a blessing too , very compassionate and always looking for my sons smile Then my son was moved to Green unit and I am grateful of the green unit team , Marybeth is a wonderful person , and Raquel is a dedicated and compassionate nurse , and all the nurses and aids are so helpful and attentive . Mr. Gabriel took phenomenal care of my uncle, OB. He was a new patient recently transferred from Kessler, and naturally, he was unsure of the experience he would have at a new facility. From the moment Mr. Gabriel began working with him, he showed such attentiveness and care. He had my uncle sitting up comfortably in his wheelchair as he gently groomed and cut his hair with love, patience, and the dignity my uncle has always deserved. Mr. Gabriel’s positive disposition made such a difference my uncle began to smile, and by the end of the grooming session, not only did he look presentable, but he also felt like himself again. Words cannot fully express our gratitude for Mr. Gabriel’s compassion and generosity. God bless you, Mr. Gabriel. Did I mention he’s also a fantastic barber? I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff at the rehabilitation facility for the excellent care they are providing to my father-in-law. In the beginning, he was very confused and uncommunicative, which was deeply concerning for us. Thankfully, Nurse Ahmed went above and beyond to help us understand the situation. He reviewed my father-in-law’s medications and identified that a new medication might be causing the confusion. Thanks to his efforts in communicating with the doctor, the medication was adjusted, and we saw noticeable improvement. Nurse Ahmed is exceptionally helpful, polite, and patient. He always takes the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly and with compassion. The CNAs are also doing a fantastic job”they are attentive, professional, and make sure my father-in-law finishes his meals, as he requires assistance with feeding. Every time I visit, he is clean, well cared for, and never left in an uncomfortable state. The facility itself is also clean and well-maintained, which gives us peace of mind. We truly appreciate the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in his care. Thank you for all that you do.

When I arrived at Alaris of Cedar Grove, I was totally immobile after being in a coma and 4 surgeries. I was scared that I would never walk again. Everyone from Matt the Administrator, all my nurses, and my PT Team assured me that I would. Well, 3 weeks later I WALKED out the front door!! It’s a building filled with Angels!!

I had a wonderful stay at Alaris Health Cedar Grove and I can't thank them enough for all they did. I have received motherly care from Ms. Bataille. After my therapy she regularly offers me an ice pack or bag even before I can ask for it. She always asks me if I need anything before she goes on break and says goodbye before she leaves. Her motherly care and warm personality make you feel at home. In addition to Ms. Bataille, Ms. Philipps is equally excellent. And Gabriel is a male CNA who always picks up a call, even if it's not his patient. All the staff are very caring and friendly. I run into some concerns which is pretty normal to all establishment you go to, but Nurse Nichson is always to the rescue. He genuinely cares about my concerns and makes sure that I'm well taken care of at all times. Gracie is a unit secretary and she's also a retired nurse. Saying that she runs the floor smoothly and family asked her question and she can answer all family and patient concern effectively. Shes equally great as Nichson, Evelyn, Alice and others. The nurses explain medication, symptoms in a way you will understand. It not a new building but housekeeping and maintenance clean and maintain the facility around the clock. The garden is very therapeutic and beautiful. Though I did not participate in the recreation, I saw how dedicated they are to providing entertainment for the elderly. Rehab department is out of this world. They are beyond exceptional. Noel, the rehab director, is very caring, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Everyone works together to ensure the best possible therapy outcomes. The people in rehab are always happy. Robert always ensure that my wheelchair is safe. Of course, my therapists Maria and Sally are miracle workers, and they are very knowledgeable. They believe on me more than I believe on myself. They know how to work around with my fear and anxiety and still able to push me to my full capacity. I am forever grateful for their hard work and dedication. I know without their help, I wouldn't be where I am today.

My husband has been here twice. It was pleasant enough the first time that he went back when he needed to recuperate. The staff is generally kind, helpful, and personable. The grounds are lovely, especially the courtyard with a huge tree and fish pond. Spirits are lifted by being able to be in the fresh air! The food is just okay -an improvement would be welcomed..

The receptionist is very pleasant and welcoming. I have found the nursing staff as well as the Aids to be helpful. On my last visit the air conditioner was broken and leaking water on the floor creating a trip hazard. It was a weekend and I guess the maintenance not available. It’s never easy to come to terms with the fact that you can’t properly take care of a loved one. For our family we were devastated by the loss of our mother and the unknown of how to care for our senior brother who has been diagnosed with mental illness. We were fortunate to have had the help of the Peach Unit team. Suzy, Ilia and the entire staff was attentive, very responsive and their willingness to work with him and our family in keeping him safe was everything to us. I have nothing but praise to offer these angels that helped us during a very difficult time. I highly recommend this location because at the end of the day it’s not about being posh but about having compassion, patients and offering dignity to those that can speak for themselves. My mother has been there for a few years now and the place is OK but I just wish they would clean the bathrooms a lot more because it does smell in her room and there’s Nats in her room when that happens The food definitely needs to be a lot better But overall, I know the staff does work hard and do their best. It’s a tiring job. I credit them for the work that they do because I don’t know if I could do it each and every day. My mother is already 84 and I’m not going to move her anywhere else unless it gets really bad. They do activities with them which is great but for those bed written or just won’t or can’t get out of their bed they need someone to visit them through the day.

My father was in rehab for 6 weeks. I must say the rehab team during the week was phenomenal especially Moises and Emily. Maria was very nice too and always checked on my dad. The highlight of my dad’s day was going to rehab. As for the nurses my dad was well taken care of here which I was super thankful for. The only issue I had was if you called for help or needed to go the bathroom the wait was long where at one point he started to sneak to go the bathroom. One day a Part time nurse didn’t give my dad his everyday antibiotics and was extremely nasty about it when he asked about it. She tried to tell him he didn’t take it everyday instead of saying they were out of it. Most of the everyday staff were very friendly, helpful, and answered all my questions. All I cared about was my dad getting better and that seemed to happen with the rehab team and the nurses he had. Some nurses actually told me my dad was an amazing patient and was super nice to him. The grounds are beautiful! Some front desk people were friendly and others weren’t. Overall it was a good experience if it wasn’t for the rehab team and the few nurses I don’t know what I would have done. Like any other place please advocate always for your loved one.

What a marvelous experience with the day shift team. The staff at Alaris Cedar Grove are very supportive and willing to help especially when things were getting behind because of computer access delays. I really appreciate how Gene and others showed support to the visiting nursing staff and also their regulars, it says a lot about the organization and made a great impression on me, I see that the facility is a clean, caring and peaceful place to work and receive care. It was really nice. Staff was friendly. It was clean. The lawn was well kept. My friend of a very long time resides there and he likes it. He hasn’t complained to me not once, and he has been there for about 3 years. Obviously they must treat their patients well when no family or friends is around. Which is very good because there are some homes mistreat their patients when no visitors are there. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I think it should only be 2 patients per room. My friend had 3 ( that Includes him). ( He had 2 room mates) I think it would be more room for wheelchairs, walkers etc it would allow more privacy for patients and privacy for patients guests. Overall it’s a nice place. I would recommend it to others.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! This facility and its staff exceeded my expectations! I was one of the younger patients in the facility and at first, I thought it was going to be a nightmare like a prior facility I experienced, and boy was I wrong. The staff was so welcoming, warm and professional. On days when I didn’t feel like myself, they would come in with a positive attitude and encourage me to keep going (I needed that on my healing journey). The physical therapy team was exceptional!!! When I first arrived, I struggled with mobility and needed a walker and a wheelchair to get around to do simple task. Today I am proud to say that I am walking out with my head held high, one foot in front of the other (without assistance) and my independence restored. I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL!! Faith, willpower and a physical therapy team that doesn’t give up on you is life changing. The Supervisors of all departments are involved and willing to hear any concernsnot only do they listen. they implement change in real time. How refreshing is THAT?!! The nurses and aides are such a joy. They are consistent with care and though the job can become overwhelming at times they do a great job of protecting the patients from that strain. I would recommend this facility to anyone who truly wants their loved one to be cared for in their absence. I will be back to visit soon, this time as a friend!!
