Our family cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Sunharbor Manor. After my grandmother experienced a medical emergency and was discharged from the hospital, she stayed at Sunharbor Manor for rehabilitation for a few weeks. The progress she made in such a short amount of time was truly incredible. She became stronger, healthier, happier, and, most importantly, more like herself again. Seeing her smile, regain her confidence, and return to doing the little things she loved meant the world to our family. The nurses, therapists, and staff were compassionate, patient, and genuinely invested in her recovery. They treated her with kindness and respect every single day, and it was clear they cared not only about her physical healing but also about her emotional well-being. A special thank you to Michael, who always brought a little sunshine to her mornings. His positive attitude, warm smile, and genuine compassion brightened her day. It is easy to see when someone truly loves what they do, and Michael is one of those special people who makes a lasting impact. We would also like to sincerely thank Alicia for the exceptional care and kindness she showed my grandmother throughout her stay. Knowing she was surrounded by people who truly cared gave our family such peace of mind during a difficult time. Another thing that pleasantly surprised us was the food. My grandmother genuinely enjoyed her meals. It gave her something to look forward to each day and helped make her stay even more comfortable.

This facility truly helped save my mother's life. When she was transferred here, she was incontinent, unable to walk, suffering from a bedsore, and struggling with depression after experiencing a very difficult and traumatic hospital stay. From the moment she arrived, the staff provided exceptional care and support. The nurses, nursing assistants, supervisors, doctors, and physical therapists all played an important role in her recovery. Over the course of three months, my mother made an incredible transformation. She often spoke highly of Michael, the supervisor, and Claudette, the nursing assistant. She would tell me that they treated her like family and made her feel valued, cared for, and respected. Their kindness and dedication meant so much to both of us. Like any facility, there may be occasional challenges, but I believe it is important for family members to remain involved, visit regularly, and actively participate in their loved one's care and progress. Overall, I am extremely grateful for the care my mother received and would confidently recommend this facility to anyone seeking rehabilitation and compassionate care for a loved one.

I was a resident at Sunharbor Manor for 10 months and I wanted to say that the people were wonderful and helpful and I have someone who helped me with my leave from there when some transportation that was from outside couldn’t take my belongings back to where I am the concierge Michael you’ve heard of Indiana Jones well, this is Indiana Michael and he assisted me and it was really above and beyond and so many people as well thank you. And the physical therapy department were just outstanding Raj, Monica Diego and Raj helped me so much with my posture. It’s really made all the difference. everybody I know I’m just really really really miles ahead from where I was thank you very much and all the CNAs of course goes without saying how wonderful they were in the nurses. Thank you so much everyone. and thank you also the Dr. Vesa, who checked on me very often and gave me a lot of insights and updates on things going on and also my dearly missed roommate. When my husband, Lenny, needed a rehab after being hospitalized for 9 days, I was given a list of places. When I asked if Sun Harbor was available, the discharge nurse said "yes". Several years ago, my brother had knee replacement and spent a few weeks at Sun Harbor. It was a great experience for him. My husband spent approximately 7 weeks at the facility and I was very pleased with the care he received. He was happy to be there, since it was clean, with a few good doctor and the nursing staff and aides were helpful and very nice. I visited several times a week and used their "no charge" valet parking which was very important to me since I use a cane. I was also given a wheelchair to get to his room. The one person that stands out is Michael, the Concierge. He gave me his business card and I called him several times to ask questions. He was there at the time of admission and assisted with the discharge. If you need a rehab for yourself or loved one, please consider Sun Harbor. Also, my husband loved the food. Laura Bernstein

I was a patient for 4 weeks at this magnificent rehabilitation facility after being hospitalized for over 2 months. From the very beginning I entered, Michael Ricketts my Concierge was superb! He treated me like Family. In fact, every single nurse, aide & staff member made me feel welcome and they all were extremely helpful in making my stay comfortable. I especially want to thank My wonderful day nurse Boksu & night nurse Malcolm.They were extremely patient with me & caring with my illness. My 2 PT therapists, Solvo & Janneth kicked my butt to help me regain my strength, stamina & confidence every single day. I even began to push myself with their help & believing in me to do things I thought that I would never be able to do. Then there was Fabi my singing aide who always made me smile & feel good about myself. But I will never forget my special Angel Fabiola, who greeted me every morning with the sunniest smile and hug & made sure I was bathed & my linens freshened! It was as if I knew her for a lifetime! And special thanks to Rita, the dietitian who helped me with my menus, as well as choosing the proper foods that agreed with my dietary needs. I actually felt as if I was in a private health resort instead of a rehabilitation & nursing facility. I’m only allowed to give 5*****, but I feel Sun Harbor Manor deserves so much more. God Bless everyone who helped me get through a difficult period in my life and become family ™

We were a little apprehensive sending mom to a rehab center but Sun harbor Manor put us at ease from day one. The staff were kind loving and attentive. The therapy staff were top notch! We would go everyday to be with mom and the staff became like family to us. She just came home after 3 months and is thriving, we couldn’t be happier. Our mother and grandmother Tetree Seebarran was a resident of Sunharbor Manor for the past five years. My family is grateful for the care she received. They consistently organize activities for residents and foster a strong sense of community. Tetree enjoyed sitting in the dining room with other residents. Even as she declined, it brought her a sense of peace. As her needs changed, she smoothly transitioned to different levels of care. We have immense gratitude for the MJHS hospice team. They were exceptional. The personnel at the front desk and nursing staff are kind, attentive, and approachable. The facility is always clean. Valet parking was also very convenient for visits. My mother was a resident at Sunharbor Manor for about 3 years. Most of her time was spent in Room 361. She had the bed by the window where the sun streamed in just how she liked it. She also had access to the heat. Oh my, she loved to be warm. It took a few room changes but she did finally land this room which she was very happy with. Most all the nurses and aides were very kind. Maria, Magda & Kingsley were outstanding. Michael the concierge was always near if you needed anything at all. My Mom celebrated her 100th birthday there on September 26, 1925 but she had been a patient previously a few times because she fell quite alot after she turned 90. The physical therapists were excellent. The recreation dept. with Vanessa, Mia, Rita and Page did an outstanding job keeping her busy. Music, bingo and art classes. My mother had depression because she wasn't able to do too much, but they kept her spirit up. I will always be obliged to everyone for their kindness. Nurse Practitioner Sheryl Drrizzio always keeping me up to date with moms needs and medications. Thank you to Kym from their social work department for always listening to me and my concerns. Thank you to Camille and Tina in the business office. Sunharbor Manor is very clean and I saw that crew constantly cleaning and making everything fresh. The food...well it was ok. I would bring my Mom some homemade things once in a while. I have to say they got right on it when I asked them to bring her a slice of fresh lemon for her tea. I asked once and it was always on her tray. She loved the pound cake also. My mom made a few friends there and it was nice to see her socialize a bit. The weekends were a bit understaffed which hopefully will change for future residents but on the whole I would recommend Sunharbor Manor. I only hope the owner/owners realize how valuable a great staff is and continue to work on having a great relationship with their employees. These loving and kind hard working employees make Sunharbor Manor an excellent choice. Thanks to Hectors valet parking. Always a smile and great conversation. Mom passed on January 10th 1926. My 96 year old mom just spent over two months at SunHarbor, her third rehab in a year as a result of falls. Of the three we found Sunharbor had a feeling of community and warmth that was lacking at the other two facilities which were more of a clinical environment. It had the friendliest care staff also, including their physical therapy team. Monica was amazing and their concierge Michael is invested in making everyone’s experience the most pleasant as possible. The staff to patient ratio may not be the best but those nurses and aides were constantly busy and attentive. The last rehab had more staff but they often refused to make eye contact with you. By the time mom was discharged she felt she had made connections with quite a few of the staff. It was very personal. Highly recommend.

Our 95 year old mother just got discharged from Sunharbor Manor rehab after a 1 month stay. She was admitted with a fractured pelvic & elbow from a fall in her home. We were very pleased with her progress and rate of recover. Her PT & OT therapists, Anthony & Brian, were exceptionalGod bless them!!!Her floor nurse, Raz, was thorough & patient. My mom got great care there. The concierge Michael was wonderful as was the social work staff. Michael was able to arrange for mom to attend my daughter's wedding, which made her very happy!!The aides and nursing staff were attentive. Mom had clean clothes on every day and she was kept clean. The Physical therapists got my mom mobile in a short period of time. My mom praised all. I have to add that mom was there a few years ago and we were reluctant to send her back due to our past experience being not so good. The food was very good as well. The entire building was always being cleaned and it seems the staff and conditions have improved greatly! I am giving 4 stars as there were 1 or 2 times when mom was wet when we got there noting she said she called to use the bathroom numerous times with no response.

I spent about five weeks at Sunharbor Manor after spending five weeks in the hospital. I found the staff incredible. I got to know one of the nurses and several aides well and they went above and beyond to provide a supportive environment. I could also see that sometimes they were over extended and unable to respond to call buttons promptly. On those occasions I felt great sympathy for them. The staff in physical therapy was phenomenal. They were fun at the same time that they worked me hard. So many of them were also very warm, caring people. Michael, the concierge, was extremely helpful in addressing issues and his positive attitude was infectious. The staff made the difference for me. I was less enthralled by the food but I am still glad I went there for my after surgery recovery.

Sunharbor manor Rehabilitation for the Period 10/13/25 Thru and including 11/14/25 For A Period Of 31 Days. During my stay at sunharbor manor I was greeted by the concierge Michael Ricketts he is kind and a caring person that make sure that all my needs are met. I also was introduced to a dietary regimen which enabled me to regain and subsequently to maintain my weight. Substantial meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner were provided 7 days a week and all were encouraged to eat healthy. The Staff, Physical Therapy, Ocuppational, Ms Kathy Director of Nursing, and Assistant Director Supervisor Jamel np. Cnas and Recreational is efficient reliable and friendly. Whenever there is an issue it is immediately dealt with, The unit clerk Vashti, makes sure I attend my Drs appointment! Mr Michael Ricketts the Concierge is Top Tier Professional Courteous and friendly, he thought your needs before you do. My father spent one year and four months at Sunharbor Manor for long-term care, and throughout that time, he was consistently treated with dignity, compassion, and professionalism. Every day and during days I visited, I observed he was well cared for, his medications were given in accordance with his treatment plan, and never once neglected. He was always clean, his room was maintained impeccably, and his laundry was always taken care of promptly. The recreation team provided meaningful activities, entertainment, and grooming resources that helped keep his spirits up. There were even options for haircuts, which I gladly paid for, and my dad always received his preferred buzz cut. They also shaved him regularly, making him feel fresh and confident. Over time, I observed how my Dad gradually acclimated to his new environment; it truly felt like a home away from home thanks to the warmth and dedication of the CNAs and nurses who cared for him. There was also a genuine sense of community among the residents, which helped my dad feel connected and supported, making the transition so much easier for all of us. His meals always arrived warm and on time, and the staff followed a strict regimen to ensure his individual needs were met. The wound care team was absolutely exceptional”given the complexity of his needs, their care was nothing short of perfection. My family and I spent many days together with my Dad in the family dining room or on the patio during warmer weather, making cherished memories. The overall culture among the staff is clearly one of teamwork and compassion. As a family member, I always felt supported, knowing there was a unified approach to my dad’s care. In his last days of life, he received comforting treatment, and my family and I will forever remember his time at Sunharbor Manor as supportive and caring. I am eternally grateful to everyone at Sunharbor Manor who played a role in my father’s care and comfort through to his passing. A very special thank you to Nurse Supervisor Trudy Blackwood for her unwavering attention to my dad’s care and for making my family feel supported at every interaction, especially during the toughest days. You are an extraordinary professional, and we will always hold you in our hearts. I’d also like to acknowledge Kim Geisler, social worker assigned to my dad’s care, for her responsiveness and support whenever needed. Your prompt attention and willingness to help truly made a difference for our family. I have been to many rehabs but none like Sun harbor Manor. I came in unable to walk. Stroke on left side and no strength on my right. When you first come in you are greeted by Michael the concierge. He takes such pride in his job and it shows as he exemplify the love shown to each person who is privileged to be in his presence. The supervisors of every dept introduces themselves to you with kindness that makes you want to stay. The physicians, nursing supervisors, nurse practitioners, nurses, Aides, therapy techs are just wonderful. There are always some bad apples in the bunch but you weigh the good from the bad and you will come out on top with the good. Nurse practitioner Sherry, Melissa unit supervisor, Kevin my therapist, Ms. Lizzy, Fabey(forgive the spelling), my Beyonce, the entire first door night staff and many others who I forgot by name but not from my heart, thank you for putting up with my temper tantrums and helping me to use it on getting better. Sun harbor is a place of tranquility. Outside as you sit to embrace the warmth of the sun, you will find the birds playing with the squirrels and a peace that is totally unexpected. Thank you all for showing true love still exist. I am back on my feet expecting to be release. If you are ever in need of a beautiful rehab with beautiful people check out Sun harbor Manor. I have been here two weeks and the service was great. I want to thank Michael the concierge for an excellent job always coming to check on me getting me what I needed always with a smile always coming to say good how is everything? Do you need any assistant? I think the rehab department they were great in getting me back on my feet so I could leave today. I thank my social worker Kim for getting me another room and all the staff here at this facility are just wonderful and caring. My experience at SHM was a good one. The physical therapists are knowledgeable and patient, especially given that most of their clients are elderly. The unit nurses and nursing assistants work hard even when Short Staffed. As a medically retired Registered Nurse, I know they do not have an easy job, Especially the nursing assistants. My physician and Nurse Practitioner were attentive and always accessible. Concierge Michael or "Michael the Miracle Worker" as I refer to him, wears many hats, and does his best to resolve any issues that arise and/or brought to his attention. Whether it's private room requests, food preferences, connecting clients with Social Work, Case Management, Housekeeping, Dietary or Maintenance, Michael stays on top of it all. The only problem I have with SHM is the quality of the food, it definitely needs improvement. Overall my experience was a positive one, and helped me on my to path to recovery. What a wonderful place! I entrusted this place to take care of my grandmother and she left better than when she came in. Left making friends with the residents and the therapists and my grandma feels stronger with the treatment that was provided here. My father has been to Sun Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center multiple times after short hospital stays for reconditioning. Sabrina, the Director of Admissions and Phil, her assistant, were great to work with and made his transition seamless. The Recreation Department was also wonderful as they really engaged my father in the many fun activities and were kind enough to transport him to the activity and back to his room when it was over. Michael, the Concierge, was very caring and always tried to make my father comfortable. Alyssa from the Social Work Department, was also extremely helpful during his stay, as well as securing home care when he left. My dad received excellent care during his recent Sunharbor Manor stay. The MD/NP assigned to his care were caring, proactive, intelligent and communicated well with the family. The social workers were supportive and available - including making him comfortable in a new environment. The nurses and CNAs were responsive, caring and compassionate. The PT/OT staff worked well with him and promoted a positive attitude which was so impactful. Dietary was responsive to food requests and he loved the food. I would recommend Sunharbor Manor to anyone seeking short term rehab or to live there for long term care!!

I found that everyone at Sunharbor manor was wonderful! I would definitely come here again. I would also recommend this place to others around my age group. The recreation department was also wonderful and created many great experiences that I will cherish for a long time. All the nurses and aid were all wonderful and the concierge Michael was amazing and always checked up on me to see how I was feeling. The social workers made sure my needs were met and as well as Alyssa who followed the procedure of the discharge very well.
