When my husband, Lenny, needed a rehab after being hospitalized for 9 days, I was given a list of places. When I asked if Sun Harbor was available, the discharge nurse said "yes". Several years ago, my brother had knee replacement and spent a few weeks at Sun Harbor. It was a great experience for him. My husband spent approximately 7 weeks at the facility and I was very pleased with the care he received. He was happy to be there, since it was clean, with a few good doctor and the nursing staff and aides were helpful and very nice. I visited several times a week and used their "no charge" valet parking which was very important to me since I use a cane. I was also given a wheelchair to get to his room. The one person that stands out is Michael, the Concierge. He gave me his business card and I called him several times to ask questions. He was there at the time of admission and assisted with the discharge. If you need a rehab for yourself or loved one, please consider Sun Harbor. Also, my husband loved the food. Laura Bernstein

Sunharbor Manor is a facility that has a welcoming atmosphere. It has measures in place to secure safety for their patients and visitors. It is kept clean and handy men are always around to keep all services running soothly. The valet service is excellent. There are hospitality measures in place; coffee and tea is available to visitors and residents. There are a variety of food choices to choose from and the food is good. The ladies at the reception desk are welcoming. Michael the concierge is beyond helpful. He is accommodating and present to patients and visitor's every need and requests. The nursing staff and the aides work very hard to keep up with their many patients even though they are understaffed. Rehab therapists work hard with my husband to help him, however he wasn't walked during the day after his sessions to solidify the therapy. Sabrina is helpful at accommodating at admissions and Alissa is helpful at accommodating during discharge. Overall our experience at Sunharbor Manor was satisfactory. More staffing would allow more personal care but we're thankful to all that helped and cared for my husband during his stay. Sincerely, Louis and Clara Gaglian

It was a very difficult time for our family after Dad had his stoke which was complicated by heart failure. They took good care of him and we could see he enjoyed the food there. He is home now and we realize how much work is involved from medications to bathing, feeding and transfers. It was a relief for my mother and I to know he was being cared for as we prepared for him to return to home hospice.

Michael, the concierge was a wonderful support during my mom's stay at Sunharbor Manor. He made a point of engaging her in conversation each time he saw her, was quick to open doors, offer a tour, answer questions or even remedy parking issues . After my mom's discharge, he helped us connect with our favorite social worker, Alyssa, for of course, more questions. Alyssa was instrumental in helping us navigate through many details regarding our mom's care during and after her stay at Sunharbor Manor. We are so thankful!

I just want to say that my experience here at sunharbor rehab has been a great experience The nurses and aides have been great And my social worker Kim was always helping me and Michael the concierge He is amazing always Making sure I get what I need Always checking on me to make sure I'm OK. I also want to mention the rehab department They are a great Is team and the place Clean Recommend this rehab for anyone that is looking. Thank you sunharbor for getting me back on my feet.

I just want to say that my experience was great but the food could be better. The rhab was excellent and i can't for get Michael the concierge he is number one here he make sure i have everything i need at all time.He his very caring and kind to all the residents. I just returned home after spending almost 2 months at Sun Harbor Manor. The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating from the Doctors, Nurses, and everyone in between! The 1st floor CNA's are all wonderful (especially Fabiola, she is compassionate and has a special way about her) Michael the Concierge goes above and beyond to make each patient feel special! The PT and OT staff are understanding and extremely encouraging. I would definitely recommend this facility if you want your loved one to be cared for and feel safe.

Sunharbor provides excellent care for your loved ones. PT/OT STAFF are top notch. They do a superb job. Nursing is wonderful. Mom was happy here. Salon services very good as well. Activities were also good.

My mom stayed at Sunharbor for 2 months for rehab after leg surgery. She was on the first floor. Michael, the concierge was absolutely amazing. He is professional and always with a positive attitude for all the residents. Michael is an true JEM and truly an asset to Sunharbor. His smiling face greeted my mom every morning and made her day a little brighter during her stay. The nurses and the CNA's on the first floor were all wonderful. Andrea, Marie, Sara, Gigi treated her with care and empathy. They took care of my mom with compassion and understanding. I thank them all for the care they gave her.

My mom was placed here after she broke her hip. We made a lot of great friends especially Michael who is the liaison for families. He helped mom go through her chemo and radiation. Always smiling and pleasant.I could not have done it without him .Sunharbor offers the best care they can. Cheryl, the PA was fantastic at caring for mom. She was always available for me and mom. The recreation department is also pretty good bingo as a highlight and Zumba classes. Physical therapy is very limited. And the director was not helpful. The food is just ok but can't expect much. Overall it's a good place compared to others.

My father chose Sunharbor Manor rehab facility for his knee replacement rehabilitation after having surgery at St. Francis Hospital. He had been a patient at Sunharbor Manor rehab for his other knee replacement several years back. He was very satisfied with the care he received at that time, and this is why he returned. This time around, he noticed there had been several staffing and physical therapy changes that he was not completely satisfied with. For the most part, he was extremely fortunate to have Alina, Sarah, and Michael, the concierge of the facility, to care for him. They all had his best interest at heart, were all attentive, amazing, treated him wonderfully, and with the utmost care and concern. Alyssa, who is in charge of discharging patients, was wonderful as well. She listened to his concerns and was eager to address and rectify any issues that arose during his stay. The nurses who cared for him and the nurse supervisor were also very good. We sincerely thank all of these individuals and they receive 10 STARS, not 5 STARS, in our eyes. Unfortunately, there were a few aides, who were very rude. They did not answer the nurse call button calls in a responsible and timely manner. They did not treat patients with the proper and utmost care and concern that they deserve to be treated with while being cared for at a rehabilitation facility. The inadequate care and unacceptable behavior of those individuals was promptly addressed by management once it was brought to their attention. The physical therapy department has changed for the negative. He was not assigned one PT, like he had been in the past, who knew his treatment plan, progress, and who diligently worked with him during each session to get him rehabilitated and discharged from the facility within 8 days. This time, he never knew who his PT would be, he was assigned different therapists each time, who were not necessarily familiar with and knowledgeable of his progress and rehabilitation plan. There was also a language accent barrier with a PT which made it very difficult to understand this individual. The length of his stay/rehabilitation was twice as long this time, 20 days as opposed to 8 days. The facility was kept clean and neat. However, some of the bed sheets and blankets were slightly torn and had holes in them and should be replaced. Please do your research and consider the pros and cons when considering rehabilitation at this facility. If you choose this facility, stay on top of the care being received and immediately address any issues/concerns with management if they arise.

I arrived at Sunharbor on 7/9. I could not even stand. I am now home walking. Their physical therapists are excellent compassionate and so encouraging.
