After falling and breaking his shoulder, my 91 year old partner and I decided it was time to sell the house in the foothills and move to an independent living community. We had looked at Winding Commons a few years ago and liked it, and when I visited again I still liked it”easy choice. We moved in at the end of December 2025. Michelle, the Marketing Director, explained everything on our tour of the property and was very prompt in responding to emails and phone calls. Her professionalism made our move as painless as possible at a crucial time in our lives. This is our sixth month at Winding Commons and we are happy here. Food is surprisingly good with plenty of variety, staff is very accommodating, maintenance has been prompt, there are plenty of activities, property and grounds are clean and well tended, and the community is a friendly bunch. One of the best things is we don’t have to worry about either of us falling. Winding Commons was the right choice for us.

The minute I walked in here, I knew this place was for me. The glitzy new places had no comfort. This feels like home, safe and real. The workers knew me in the 1st week. The Chef is wonderful, and listens to your needs. Plenty of events, exercise classes, and happy hours. I feel like I'm on a cruise ship.

To move from a private residence into a senior community is a significant milestone as a retirement option. I visited and toured several communities before deciding on Winding Commons and I'm thankful every day with my choice. The atmosphere is very pleasant from the beautiful, private and well-maintained grounds that offer a strong sense of security and safety to the beautiful decor and seasonal decorations, which make it feel like home. This truly is a worry-free environment where independent living still provides private apartments, but a strong activities calendar allows as much socializing as one likes. The management is top-notch in that they are always friendly and strive to maintain a well-run facility. Weekly housekeeping and twice-daily meals top off the carefree environment. I couldn't be happier.

Winding Commons had a spacious, homey, welcoming atmosphere from the moment I walked in the door. The lobby area is nicely done and sets just the right tone. Sales Director Michelle Culbertson gave me a great tour of the community and showed me several apartments. The grounds are nicely landscaped with a little stream meandering through, and one of the apartments we looked at had a small waterfall just outside the patio. Residents seemed very happy and comfortable and there were a lot of activities going on. Prices were reasonable and apartments were a good size. All in all -- very impressive!

Common senior living is a quaint a little, older, senior living community with nice gardens and atmosphere. One bedroom apartments are small, but adequate, Partial walk-in shower little over 500 ft. the rate is reasonable and increases are in the 4% area. The place is well kept, clean, and peaceful. Sales person, Michelle does a great job presenting this community. She is definitely is a great asset to this community.

Ok, I don’t even know where to start. First off, the place itself is very nice and clean. The pricing is reasonable compared to other retirement communities I’ve checked out and all the employees are very nice. But there’s one employee there that is clearly an Angel! Kay O’ Keefe helped me from day one of inquiring about a place for my father. She was very responsive and very helpful with any and all questions I had about the place. You can tell she truly cares about all the residents there and showed empathy towards me and my father after I was worried about my dad. After visiting the place and meeting Kay she was the cherry on the top for putting down my deposit! Knowing that Kay will be there to make sure my father would be ok and taken care of made all the weight lift off my shoulders. All I can say is Kay truly is a gem and Winding Commons is very lucky to have her.

What a fabulous place! It is affectionately referred to as the cruise ship and I can see why after visiting. The choices of living plans are very accommodating, the cleanliness of the property inside and out is taken care of with pride, the wide variety of food that you can order to your liking is many, and I must say that what I saw coming out of the kitchen looked yummy! Their monthly calendar is full of activities, get together’s, and day trips, and I found myself looking forward to moving into a place like this. I met with the Marketing Director, Hilary Hardin, who is a very knowledgeable Director, and you can tell she truly cares about the residents. All in all, I would highly recommend this Senior Living community.

Winding Commons, and especially Marketing Director Hilary Hardin, exceeded expectations. Winding Commons is located in our current neighborhood. Having visited a couple years ago, hubby and I are now ready to make the leap from our large comfortable home to a 2 bedroom/2 bath unit at Winding Commons. Hilary has made the process of making this decision and preparing for this dramatic lifestyle change as simple and worry-free as possible. The community appears vibrant, smiles are evident, staff is friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to enjoy our new home. (I will post again after getting settled.)

Toured this center after looking for a place for my grandmother. My grandmother lives in a 2 story house by herself and after having a fall, my family felt it would be better if she were in a place with 24 hour care and people available to look after her. Hilary at the facility was amazing. She is incredibly outgoing and warm, provided a stress free tour and knew everything there was to know about the facility, can’t recommend her enough, as well as the other staff we interacted with. Everyone living there appears happy and well taken care of/ looked after. Staff has been there for years and take great pride in what they do and provide to their residence. I’ve seen a great deal of retirement facilities in the area and this is one of the nicest I’ve been to. Highly recommend, my grandmother is excited to be there and feels at ease with not only the move in process/set up but the general living situation with everything available to her.

My husband and I moved in seven weeks ago, enough time to know we made the right decision to move here. We hardly know where to start with why we are so happy here. Because the staff are so capable and caring, we suspect that is why the residents are smiling, so friendly, and enjoying their lives here. During our seven weeks here, we attended seven of the weekly happy hour gatherings with varied live entertainment, all so talented. The meals here are good and the menus are varied. We are so glad there are morning exercise classes each weekday, and there are just too many fun events to mention. Do we believe this is a great place for independent living seniors.

My review isn't from a person who lives there rather from knowing others that do. The 1 bedroom apt is decent. From surveying others who reside their they say it fits many needs, safety, live entertainment, happy hour, enrichment classes, weekend activities, and meals. Location is perfect for labs, grocery shopping within walking distance.

I love this property. What a wonderful place to call home! The staff is approachable and welcoming and always put the needs of their residents first. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting! The outdoor space and walking trail is my favorite part of this community. I have noticed that the residents all seem to really enjoy one another and I believe that is because the staff works to bring them all together with meaningful activities and social events. This is an exceptional option for independent senior living!

I cannot say enough about how good Windings Commons is. The staff is friendly and helpful, and it is obvious they care about the residents. Everyone, from the managerial staff to the dining commons personnel to the housekeepers is accommodating and eager to help, often going above and beyond what is expected. Traveling from out of town to tour at a few different Senior Living facilities can be stressful. However this was not the case this time. It was really nice to be greeted and welcomed by a full staff as I entered this all inclusive community. Almost felt like a spa retreat or upscale hotel and being that it is all inclusive with full dining facilities, beautifully landscaped grounds with mini water features, guest suite for family, library, game room, apartment maid service, transportation to and from daily errands, a full activities calendar and more...I asked if I could move in myself instead of my parents. The staff welcomed me to a complimentary brunch at anytime in the dining room. Unfortunately this is a 62+ community so I will have to wait my turn. From the moment I drove up to Winding Commons I was welcomed by one of the delightful residents of the community. She was friendly and had spoke to me about how she had lived at the community over 12+ years and went on to tell me how much she adored all the staff. I soon learned myself of the staff's kindness and will strongly be considering this home for my parents for the future!
