I am a volunteer in the Activities Dpt. at The Lakota Good Samaritan Center and enjoy my time with the residents and staff there very much. Every effort is made to engage the residents in as many activities as they wish to participate. The entire floor staff is helpful in gathering those who want to to come for Bingo and coffee by assisting me in getting the residents to & from these activities. Another pleasurable experience for me is the one-on-one visits with residents who prefer to stay in their rooms. I only wish I could come more often! Shirley Ferguson

I worked as a dietary aide and cook part-time for about a year. Fantastic place!!! If the pay was better I would have definitely stuck around more. Mostly female employees which has its pros and cons. But I love the staff and all of the residents 🙂 Definitely miss it. Management was amazing. Absolutely loved HR. And everybody in the office was just a hoot and very helpful when I started. I would recommend working here. Only three negative things... too many meetings, the "clocking in" machine was possessed, and you definitely won't get rich. But the positives WAYYY out balance the bad. You will have a lot of fun memories and you also learn a lot about yourself in a short period of time. Consider them as an option if you're looking for employment or considering putting your loved one there for nursing care.
