Vistas almost killed me. I was aspirating and a staff member crammed a crushed pill in pudding down my mouth causing me to choke and need to go to the emergency room. Also, after gastrointestinal surgery, the staff didn't change my dressings as required nor did they empty a "bulb" that would fill with infected liquid . Since the bulb wasn't emptied as required, a nurse, who knew what she was doing, assumed this was an amount of infected liquid that had drained into the "bulb" over night causing me to have to go to the emergency room again.s Also, I required an inhaler that the staff checked off as giving me when, actually, they didn't even have one at the skilled nursing facility. The choking episode almost killed me an caused my heart to only work 1/4 of it's capacity. Their PT/OT is severely lacking in equipment. I I would not recommend this facility if you require extensive PT/OT care or any other treatment that needs expert care. It is definitely not equipped.

We recently moved my mother to this facility based on a recommendation and quite a bit of research. I must say this was the best choice for her health care ! The staff is absolutely wonderful ! I've had the pleasure of interacting with everyone from admission to finance to nursing to maintenance to food-prep ... they are all so loving and put the residents first ! I know she'll be in good hands as I travel back home.

I want to let everyone know that this facility is great! I was looking for a place for my Mom that is caring and also a nice room so she would be comfortable. I looked at the ratings and was a little unsure since there were several bad reviews. I am so glad I went and talked to the staff and checked out the rooms. I people there are truly happy and the staff are excellent. If there are any issues or concerns with your loved one they call. We have had places that we checked on and we were actually there that looked great , but the staff was crabby to say the least. My opinion now is check out places go there talk to staff and residents because you can tell quite a lot just on how they are acting. The Vistas have my utmost respect and so thankful that they care.

My father could no longer be on his own so we decided on the Vistas about 2 years ago. It was the best decision we ever made. The staff took him from being depressed and sick to the life of the party!! It was amazing!! The staff contacted me on every move they made!! Living out of state it eased my mind. I visited often and my father loved it there!! In his last days he was in the hospital he just wanted to go home to the Vistas. We lost my father about 3 weeks ago at The Vistas. We were blessed to have such a wonderful place for him to be.

My aunt and I placed my grandfather at Iowa Masonic a little over 2 years ago. I wish I could give the staff here 10 stars because they are absolutely amazing al the way until the end of life. We are forever grateful to the entire staff for showing so much love to my grandpa until the end. Thank you for making his last years the greatest our family is forever grateful. Thank you for going above and beyond we can't thank you enough!!

The Vistas at Bettendorf is a wonderful place for senior or any residents that may need compassionate, understanding, and loving skilled care. My 100-year-old mother has been at The Vistas at Bettendorf (formerly Iowa Masonic Health Facilities) since September, 2015 and she has blossomed due to the care she has received. And now, my 77-year-old brother resides at The Vistas, as well. Both are doing very well and are happy with the care they are receiving. We have previously used other long-term care facilities, but none have compared to the care given at The Vistas. The staff is very friendly, skilled, and seem to have a passion for caring for individuals needing long-term care. I would recommend them to anyone needing assistance from a long-term care facility. Thank you to Vista. They were with my mother in her final days. Most caring and loving people. Their treatment of my mother was second to none. Would highly recommend this facility. They treat you like family.

My father was a resident of Ann's Place for memory care for 2 years. My mother was a resident of the long term care facility for 5 years. Both passed away while at the facility. During those 5 years, they received excellent care from everyone at Iowa Masonic. The nurses, the CNAs, the dietary and laundry workers, and the activities organizer were caring, compassionate, and attentive to my parents' needs. Residents, their rooms, and the facility in general were always kept clean and tidy. In addition, Iowa Masonic's communication with me and other family members was appropriate and professional.
