I have lived in Freedom Village for over two years and have not regretted a minute about my decision to move here. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the accommodations are great, the activities are diverse and plentiful. The food is excellent, and the menus are varied from day to day and week to week. I had looked at other facilities before choosing Freedom Village, but this beats them all.

If you have the funds to buy into this wonderful, clean, yummy food, and hotel like housing, take a tour to see if it's a fit. My mom has been there for 10+ years. Not as expensive as newer places since it has been a solid presence for many years !! They have other options like assisted living and rehab after surgery or hospital stays.

The lobby was clean and inviting. Has a cafe just to the right of the lobby entrance. The hallways to the rooms are clean and decorated nicely.

I and my wife moved into Freedom Village two months ago. Before that, we have compared various CCRC around southern California for couple years. We decide Freedom Village fits our needs the best. After two months of residence here, we conclude we have made right decision. Living here, It feels more like a big family here instead of a retirement center. All residents and workers get along so well. We are lucky and hope every elders could live in a place like Freedom Village and be taken care for the final stage of one's life.

Friend stays there and it's a nice facility. Currently meals are brought to rooms and left set down at the outside of the door. A knock, open the door and food is thus delivered.

Our aunt has been a resident at Freedom Village for over 15 years. Until recently she was in her own independent living apartment where she enjoyed the friendship of many other residents, healthy meals in the dining room, in-house activities and excursions to various local community events. Recently our aunt relocated to the assisted living facility. This was a challenging adjustment for her, initially, due to lingering health issues. However, the attentive and supportive care providers made the transition a positive experience. With no local family members to monitor her care and needs the care staff and administration took steps to ensure we were kept informed, included in decisions and immediately apprised of any serious developments. All while dealing with the added constraints of the COVID pandemic. Today our aunt is very comfortable and thriving in her new environment. While her lifestyle has change some her attitude and enthusiasm for life is as good as it has ever been. We are very grateful. Organizations such as Freedom Village succeed or fail as a result of the effort and actions of their employees and staff. Over the years and especially during the past six months we have been very satisfied with the care and attention afforded our aunt and expect others would have similar experiences.

Freedom Village is the best rehab in OC, and my family is incredibly grateful that my mother was able to find placement and safely heal in their skilled nursing and assisted living departments. Three years ago my mother was knocked down by a dog, broke her hip, and ended up in a rehab where an untrained, insufficient staff left us in fear about her care and recovery. I am still shaken by that rehab experience. I had heard about Freedom Village's professionalism and care, so when my mother needed rehab after a severe illness this last month, I did everything in my power to get her into Freedom Village's Skilled Nursing Rehab. When I learned a space at FV was confirmed available, I cried. What a difference a rehab can make! I live in Los Angeles so when I visited my mother, I was there for days and would hang out in her room (I was still nervous from the last rehab experience). When a patient pushes a button, a nursing assistant arrives. When a patient needs to use the restroom a dozen times, no one make them feel bad about it. Her room was clean, supplied, and the staff was always kind and available. I could tell this was a tight operation when most of the administration came into the room the first day to introduce themselves (spaced out as to not overwhelm) and explained their role in her recovery. Our early nursing assistants, Maridene and Joan, loomed large during those first days, always upbeat - really, they are rays of sunshine, with the patience of saints - and watching them with my mom totally put me at ease. I saw a nursing assistant, Jay, on the evening shift, consistently peek into the rooms assigned to him to check on the patients. Even when my mom was sleeping, I saw him check on her three times. Nothing seemed to fall through the cracks. No one was harried. Medication was timely. Physical Therapy was consistent. Meals were attractive and patients were provided with meal options in advance so they could select the foods they would enjoy - not a preset meal. Because of this efficient system, I knew that my mom would be safe and cared for when my family was absent. My mom had an 11 day Skilled Nursing stay (per the insurance company). We were told days in advance when my mom would be released, allowing us time to assess my mother's needs and our next step. Freedom Village offers a 'Bridge to Home' program, and after careful consideration, we chose that option over bringing her straight home. For the next 10 days, she worked at getting stronger in the Assisted Living section at Freedom Village. Located in the same building but on an upper floor, patients have rooms that resemble actual bedrooms in homes. She had her own bathroom/shower, a twin bed, a window with a table and chairs, a flat screen TV, a dresser, and a huge mirrored closet. With Assisted Living, the nurses still provide the medications, coordinate medical test, book transportation to doctor's appointment, along with 3 meals provided daily with the option of eating in your room or the dining room (with fabric tablecloths and napkins). A daily itinerary was provided each morning (it's the same in Skill Nursing) and my mom enjoyed the Silver Sneakers Exercise Class in particular. She was given the freedom of walking the halls with her walker, sitting out on an outside patio, or communing in a central library/television room with tables, constant coffee, lemonade and water, plus fresh cookies from a toaster oven in the room (across from the watchful nursing station). My dealings with the manager of the Assisted Living Department, Marianna, were timely and she went out of her way to provide me with admission forms when I requested them early to review. I wish my memory was better because my mom's nurses in the Assisted Living section were so nice and congenial (she loved them), and our first assistant, Thaiesse, was a happy, welcoming presence that set the mood for the rest of the stay. FV lives up to their high Medicare ratings and overall status as a number #1 establishment. I have only praise for their organization and care.

I love living in Freedom Village. All the employees are friendly, helpful and call you by name. It is so wonderful being able to get an immediate response to any problem we might have. The meals are A Plus everyday and offer a super array of choices. There are so many varied activities offered that it is impossible to be bored unless one chooses to be. I have lived here a few months short of 5 years and I highly recommend Freedom Village as a place in which to live the final years of ones life.

When I first visited Freedom Village, I experienced a welcoming positive and active atmosphere. The residents and staff are warm and friendly, which creates a family atmosphere. There are lots of varied activities & games, various forms of exercise, good food, entertainment & bus trips. You can be as social and active as you desire - a great retirement community!

My Mom's has been at Freedom Village since the Fall of 2019. The staff is amazingly friendly and sincerely & seriously committed. Freedom Village responds to all our family's concerns when voiced .... Paramount is the resident's safety; and --- I can say that at each & every point of interface (especially in this Covid-19 lockdown environment) --- that the safety of all residents is the primary focus. And. There is a saying that an army marches on it's stomach, and --- the food at F.V. is amazing. My 98 year old Mom is a fairly picky eater, and --- all I hear is raves from her about the food (especially the soups). We as a family did our research, and while perhaps there might be homes/facilities that are nicer in terms of a physical building , well, you will not find a better place when it comes to the actual boots on the ground staff that make it all happen. (an interesting metric is the employee turnover - when we looked into this a year ago, I believe the average employee has been at Freedom Village for over 13 years). Happy staff = happy residents..... bottom line, all things considered, we as a family are very pleased with Freedom Village.

I've lived here for 4 years. I am so glad we decided to move here while we were in good health. We have enjoyed the activities and our many new friends. I am glad we didn't wait longer to move.

It has been a nice two two months at Freedom Village. I moved in December 2019 and have not regretted my decision to move here. All the staff are very personable and will help you whenever you have a question or there is a situation that may require repair work to your unit. There are many activities planned weekly that residents may pick and chose to participate in. Transportation is always available with prior reservation to local hospitals/doctors, etc. Residents are very cheerful and happy which keeps the atmosphere positive and upbeat..
