Christopher towers is not a good place to live,if you value your security,theft is a very big deal around the building,and staff don't care, thief's have ceiling access into other apartments, camera suck in building,they see what they wanna,,the outside and inside of building is all they care about,not the maintenance within the apartments,the plumping always backs up,there's leaks thru out building,, there's roaches,bug bugs,etc ,they offer no amenities as far as food, entertainment, exercise,theres nothing,staff is cold and useless,move here only if your desperate,for roof only head,cause that's all they offer for seniors,I'm very disappointed in silver tree

Christopher towers in Columbia sc, is not a secure building six entrance ways,four. Are not secure. at all,trash compactor has large opening next to it,not secure at all,anyone can get in building,at any time,no I'd check,,people do what ever they please , security is a joke there.they sit at front desk all night or sleep behind .desk..plumbing sucks,there's always a run over sink or backed up tub,or toilet,or overflow to hallways,there's one maintenance man,he's old, grumpy, and there's 225:units,,five people work in front office,there only show.. maintenance is very slow, month or more,open bathroom and kitchen ceiling tiles.no ventilation in whole apartment nor complex,elevators are slow and old.ambulance comes puck up someone,no staff has knowledge of this, if I looking for nice safe place too live,don't move there

It's not a bad place to live. There are a few things that need some attention, but overall I like it.

For close to 7 years, I have resided at Christopher Towers. Throughout the years I have interacted with other residents of every ethnicity who have stayed here much longer. Which supports my sense CT is a place to make a decent home. The 24-hour security on site is a plus. The people involved in maintaining and improving CT make a concerted effort. Management as well as a good maintenance crew keep the entire operation moving. There is a regulated schedule for, "Pest Control", with which I am actually quite impressed, with no complaints. There is a Tenants Association, there are meetings with members of management, as well as an eclectic variety of activities including a gardening area, and the unique and most beneficial in-building, "Convenience", store. And CT is located in an area close to 5 Points, the Vista, downtown and a great park just across the street. I know what it is to struggle without decent basic facilities, so yes, I am thank-full to reside at Christopher Towers.

The sprinkler system goes off regularly flooding all the parts on one side of the Bldg. Then you have roaches and mold and soggy everything. Why.

Great staff and throughout the years my grandmother has lived there they have had a few issues with bedbugs but the maintenance there always are right on top of it helping as much as they can to fix the issue! From what I understand they hired an actual exterminator to work in house daily to fix any "bug issues" - The place is very nice now since that issue was fixed. I appreciate effort put into making this a good place for elderly low income residents
