This place is actually not bad as long as you're not too needy. I've been here a few days due to a wound and treatment and the staff is super pleasant and friendly. It's a big facility and so it of course makes sense that they are thinned out, especially when every patient has specific needs that occur all at once. The food is decent and I haven't found anything I don't like besides the oatmeal and that is strictly personal preference. Thank you for everything you guys do, from Room S-1, Bed 2!

Very pleased with the entire staff! Nurses, cna’s office personal. It takes a very special kind of person to work at any long term care. The things they have to handle day in day out. Is mind boggling, don’t hesitate one sec to come check this place out!

Staff at sandstone are so nice especially with all they have to do! Facility older with very kind staff. The reason for the 2 star rating boils down to being short staffed. When we arrived , mom's bed was already broken and they had to change it. The room she shares with another person is small, hardly room for the giant o2 machine, wheel chairs , bedside tables, eating trays , supplies and walkers for two people. Getting mom up to use the bathroom is like a jigsaw puzzle each time. My mom is not too mobile and needs assistance to get up. She pushes the call button and has to wait an hour for anyone to come help her when I am not there. Then the toilet overflowed and went everywhere. She's only been there 4 days and the toilet has over flowed several times. Twice tonight. It was not properly cleaned up any of the times and we are still waiting on maintenance to get it fixed. Mom is scared to sleep as she shares the room with a patient experiencing dementia who steals her supplies, bedding , comfort objects and clothing. Staff apologized for this but still have not moved mom out of the memory care unit to a unit that is better suited for her. She is not happy there with outdated tv and necessary equipment like trays and beds. Not happy overall and looking for a new place.

My sister, Kimberli was at Heritage Hill's for a few years. She has since passed due to her condition, but they were wonderful. When she first was transferred they made her feel very much at home. We also enjoyed that the facility had animals. :)) The staff was very sweet. My sister was a smoker and was not able to get in and out of her bed by herself, and they helped her with that until it got much too hard for everyone involved. Within the past couple years, I know the facility changed ownership a little and I was able to see how that partnership benefited not only the facility, but the patients. The interior has been updated and does not smell like a care center. Thank you to all the Heritage Hill staff that took care of my sister.

I'm not sure of the other Google reviews for this facility, sometimes they are disgruntled employees with psychological issues or people wanting discounts or freebies, but my experience with Heritage Hills has been far beyond my expectations. My brother had several strokes and was placed there after he was hospitalized, he is a Veteran and is permanently paralyzed. It was a difficult time, Heritage Hills notified me as I live in Virginia. His daily care needs have been met, he has to have extra care to be bathed and clothed. I am kept aware of his health and his care. The staff has always gone above and beyond when I have questions or need to speak with my brother, they keep me posted of all of the COVID protocols. He is really happy there, they have movies, meals, activities and I am always asking him about his care, there are 4 Tiffany s that work there, he said there all all great. Kudos to Josh, Tad and all the Tiffany s, the nurses, the cooks, every one that put their lives on the line during Covid, I hope the outings can resume if COVID subsides. Thank you to all of the Heritage Hills staff for taking such good care of my brother, my family is grateful for you!!!

My experience while working at Herritage Hills was incredable. Staff are great in communicating with one another to bring new, useable techniques to caring for your loved ones. The staff is caring, treats everyone like family, and is respectful. I really enjoyed working with the nurses there who take time out of their day to teach new skills to the nursing aids. Heritage Hills has completely turned around. A new administrator and staff have been around for about three years now and the difference is remarkable. While visiting a friend who was getting rehab from Heritage Hills he told me how much he loved the staff and how they weren't letting him slack off in his recovery. I've been to Heritage Hills with church/youth groups and can attest to the difference that has happened. I have been recommending people to go there because I believe it is a well run facility. In past years I've been reluctant to recommend anyone go there but having an administrator there long term has made all the difference.

If you or your loved one needs Skilled Nursing services, you can't pick a better place! The Administrator and Director of Nursing are dedicated and honest people who truly care. Everyone SAYS they care, these people show it on a regular basis. The Director of Nursing has acute care background and has spent a lot of time training the nursing staff and as a result the care is incredible! The facility is well cared for and the team tries their best to help everyone have a good experience. The nursing team (CNA's and Nurses) are wonderful people who go above and beyond on a regular basis. This place is AMAZING!!!

Heritage Hills is an great place to work. I worked there as a CNA in 2016 and again about a year ago as an agency CNA. The facility is soooooo much better than it used to be. They have been working hard to make it a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment. The DON is amazing and she pitches in and works shifts when other nurses have to call in sick. The administrator is great as well and does an amazing job at making it a great place to work. The residents are well looked after and the place does not stink. I honestly loved picking up shifts at this facility.
