Most of the staff are professional and greet with a smile. But it was one particular Aide that had such an annoying look upon her face that made me feel very uncomfortable. She remained quiet with a frown on her face as though she wanted me to leave. The other Aide accompanying her smiled, talked and was very friendly. The charge nurse was very welcoming and had an positive attitude including a smile. My thought is that the whole staff should have a positive attitude with the patients and with the guess who arrives to visit the patients

My dad was not here long before he passed. The time he was here the staff was awesome. They care about there patients it shows in how they handled them. The care that my dad recieve before he passed was outstanding. He had been in rehabs before. This one was the best, if he was here right now he would tell you the same thing. Again thank you.

I was a patient here for a year, discharged and then unfortunately had to come back because of health issues. The admissions person, padishia came to see me at the hospital and explained the process of my return and what my new stay would entail. All of my nurses are on the south wing are amazing and have never had an issue with either of my stays. Previously I was on the west wing and they were great too!

Lynchburg health and rehab has been one of the biggest blessings to me in my time that I’ve been here. I have had no trouble with really any other staff and I’m just thankful for the rehab center here and for the people that are here that it made us stay worthwhile as a patient. I give this place five stars.

This place is pretty awesome!!! Everybody here cares about the patients!! Courtney, the activities director is totally cool!! Everybody here is great!! They treat you like "gold"!!! I also love to sing, all day, every day, and found a little "studio" here!! See pics!!

I am a fairly new resident at this facility and have had a great experience so far. I have been working with Josh from OT and he ensures I am safe and getting back to normal. I've gotten to meet the admissions director Padishia, who's really nice and the administrator steffeni took her time to introduce herself to me. They let me sing my Jesus songs and have a blast. I like this place!

All of the workers here have been nice. Ms. Amber, the unit manager is really good to me. Allison, Abby, "little bit", Quentin and Todd have been AMAZING CNA'S. Quay and Sarah in social work are great to work with! Padishia, in Admissions really helped me in the process and came to see me while in the hospital to answer any questions I had. Kelly, Courtney and Jake in activities always have a good time. Ashley from nutrition addressed all of my concerns and replaced what I didn't like. Most of the food is good. Overall, everyone has great bedside manner and I have enjoyed being here for therapy

I'm a current resident. I have been here for over a year. I couldn't be happier. The couple facilities before I landed here were beyond torturous and should be closed down. Comparatively this place has become not only my safe haven but I'm proud to say my home. It's not only how clean and updated everything is here but the staff. When you first walk in the door you are greeted by our gracious receptionist Queen, who is always there to guide the way to your family member or friends room. She also helps answer any questions patients may have and help them get to whomever they may need help from. Such as social workers ,our amazing activities director Courtney, or Ashley the fabulous women in charge of our delicious meals. Again the reason this place is so amazing is the staff. I have no family or friends that can visit when I got here I had the clothes on my back and no shoes. Now, I'm blessed with five pairs of shoes and a closet and drawers full of beautiful clothes most came from he kindness of staff. The never hesitate to stop no matter how busy and give me a hug or kind word. They genuinely care about their patients and treat us like family. If you, a friend, or family member are looking for either a temporary short stay to get rehabilitation therapy after surgery. Or if you're looking for a more permanent assisted living type of care. Lynchburg health and rehab will fulfill your need of care while still making you feel loved. The administration here is easily approachable. Infact our top administrator almost always leaves her door open and never turns a resident away. She listens to their concerns or questions and follows through with whatever course of action that was agreed upon. The nurses and cna's are the hardest working, kindest, and just genuinely amazing at their jobs. Even when they are tired or a patient is being difficult they continually handle the patient and situation with love and care as if it were their own family member. They sometimes endure unpleasant things like changing a soiled pull-up, being verbally assaulted by a confused or just plain mean resident. And on even rare occasions they get physically assaulted by patients however they never lose their composure to their own detriment. Instead of returning the assault like most people would they gently diffuse the situation as best they can ensuring the residents safety over their own. I love this place. I love that I can call it my home. Most importantly I love that I can call the employees here not just my friends but my family

There are very few things that I "like" about having to "live" at Lynchburg Health and Rehab. That being said, there are a few advantages about having to stay here... The first (and pretty much only "Good" thing) that LH&R offers is their PT and OT programs. I have "Phased Out" of OT... BUT... I am still enrolled with the Facility's Physical Therapy Department. I would like to call attention to a certain Physical therapist (Jennifer Albert!) I've been working with her nearly everyday of the week. Her expertise and knowledge of HOW and WHY I should be doing my exercises, but MUCH MORE THAN THAT... She's NOT a "Copycat Therapist" meaning that she ACTUALLY LISTENS TO ME and "Custom Builds" an exercise routine SPECIFICALLY FOR ME that "allows me" to be able to achieve the same results while at the same time, working within the limitations of my Disability. (Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy.) Now here's the part that TRULY IMPRESSES ME about Mrs. Albert... Her DEDICATION for getting the ABSOLUTE BEST "Results" for her patients DOESN'T "Just include me!" She takes the same amount of time "ADAPTING" to ALL of her patients! On top of that, IF (in the VERY RARE occasion) that she doesn't know how to "Maximize" the Benefits of a particular stretch with ANY of her patients, Jen does something that is EXTREMELY RARE (in ANY occupation) She ASKS FOR ADVICE from someone who she believes may know how to get the BEST RESULTS POSSIBLE! I'm making a point of pointing out this PARTICULAR "Character Trait" of Mrs. Albert is because Jen's one of the FEW people that I've met that ISN'T "afraid" to ask for help! Many people may see this as a "Weakness" but I personally view it as one of her BIGGEST "Strengths!" It NOT ONLY shows how much of an UNBELIEVABLY HUMBLE person she is! Most people (in ANY occupation) are "Too Proud" to ask for "Help," so they DON'T EVER do it! This leads to "Bad Form," "Negative Effects on the muscles being "Worked" and ULTIMATELY "Hurts" the patient, but NOT Jennifer Albert! I could go on and on about the TRUE "Benefits" of having a Therapist so COMMITTED to providing the BEST CARE POSSIBLE to ALL of her patients, but I'm afraid that I wouldn't be able to stop once I started... To put it as simply as possible Jennifer Albert is one of (if NOT) the MOST Compassionate, BEYOND Dedicated, and one of the SMARTEST individuals that I have EVER met! I am AMAZED by NOT only the "Results" that I AM CONTINUING TO ACHIEVE and as long as I have to stay at Lynchburg Health and Rehab I am CONFIDENT that under Jennifer Albert's leadership I will eventually be able to go from using a wheelchair (currently) to walking UNASSISTED (in the future!) I honestly DON'T think that I could say that with as NEAR as MUCH Confidence that I'm able to now if I was paired with ANY "Other" Therapist! Thank you for your time! Sincerely, - Mike Vest

This has been the most difficult health emergency I have ever experienced in my life! I literally had to crawl out the grave in order to get back to my kiddies! if not for my physical therapist Jennifer Albert who literally took my hand and helped ne get through every single step to get out of bed and start moving my body and stop feeling sorry for myself. She was the first person to take patience with me and understanding and wouldn’t give up. That’s what makes a therapist so very special. I would still trying to be crawling if she didn’t help me up. Excellent therapy program !!

Physical therapist Jen has been amazing working with my wife. She literally was able to get my wife up and moving after months of hospitalizations and surgeries and she was the first successful therapist to get her out of her depression and make her move and work through the pain. Jen stayed by her and never left during her down days and because of that my wife is doing good and we are now ready to get home to our kids! Also, I do want to mention the therapist Mykelli whom stepped in while Jen was out on leave . She was amazing as well and kept my wife going strong! They really worked hard and I owe them so much for getting my wife back on her feet !

Overall the staff was very good. The coaching staff was superior. My coach, Dr Al was the best I could have asked for. I arrived from not eating or walking to an old man that could walk and was hungry . The nurses Aids were the very best especially Cortney and Francine which were always available and anxious to help me. There were times when others helped but these 2 were the very best. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility and thier staff.

My CNA’s Regina, Kamara and Kelly have been great and all other CNA’s. I love the rehab team, Tika and Kandice do a great job. Food could be better, but overall it has been a good experience getting to know people. The admissions person, Padishia, checked in consistently throughout my stay. Social work is also helpful!
