I worked here briefly and the facility looks beautiful the residents are sweet and very kind. However when I arrived for work I was majorly disappointed as the kitchen is infested with RATS not mice as well as ROACHES the upkeep was lack management was made aware and said it was worse before I started she's working on it I lasted about 30 days NO SIGN OF IMPROVEMENT!!!! Elderly people are paying 1,000's of dollars to live there I think chef Mel and whoever is in charge, should do a shutdown of the kitchen and do complete revamp something but it made me very uncomfortable and I was unable to properly serve the food you know

We placed my mom at CCCFW in 2019 in assisted living. She has since moved into the Memory Care. I am forever grateful for this place and the staff who care for her. It was incredibly hard to take her out of her home of over 50 years, but I know with 100% confidence that she is loved and cared for here. Anytime I have a question or concern they are responsive and caring. I know my mom...and I know she is content and safe. I truly believe God led me here and that HE is present in these halls. Caring for someone with dementia is challenging for anyone. The caregivers here have been called to do this and it shows in the love and compassion showed to my mom. I visit almost daily and she is always happy and obviously being cared for well. Thank you to the incredible staff and leadership at CCCFW for all you do for your residents and their families!

Very impressive staff and residents. They take the time to learn your name and greet you. Second day here and I had residents walk up and say " You must be Jeff" and introduce themselves. In many ways I stand out like a sore thumb but everyone has treated me with dignity and respect.

Christian Care Was A Great Place To Work , I love the Residents and Staff and The Chef Was Amazing I left because the lies with the recent manager that is now Gone because of lies and Stories thank God !! but the kitchen Was very Clean and coworkers was Wonderful chef Was Very amazing , kind and helpful. I miss the pies and and cakes chef made she was such a good cook ! I would recommend this facility that negative comment was lies and thats good the bad apple is gone . Great Job CHRISTIAN CARE !

My Mom moved to Christian Care Communities at Lakewood. I was nervous - how would she take to the new lifestyle after living so long in her own house? SHE LOVED IT from the very start! She began discovering new friends and old connections literally in the first week. When with advancing age she needed an Assisted Living situation, she could stay where her friends were because Lakewood is also home to Cummings Assisted Living. They took great care of my Mom and even protected her through the Covid pandemic, and when her health finally failed, the Hospice unit protected her from pain until the very end. I am very grateful to CCC at Lakewood for creating such a place for her.

This place us good place to work, but the staff needs to be replaced all but a few while working at Christian care I witnessed a lot of things that were not acceptable and very inappropriate. The mishandling of the food and the elderly patients. The nasty talk about the patients. The kitchen is nasty roaches in the walk in on the corners there's caked up mold there's a lot of drama. The boss Roy he's very unprofessional and rude. The staff picks over the food that is being served to the patients the patients are not being handled with care.

Pay isn't worth it for the amount of work they want you to do and the stuff you have to put up with. They say It's assisted living but there are too many residents that require a lift and too many two person transfers. There are total care residents that have to be cared for as well as extensive care in what they call assisted living. Team work isn't that great and mangers play favoritism and there is no confidentiality when statements are wrote or reports are made. Christy the lady in activities is good friends with the Director and has too much access to HIPPA info concerning residents that is not related to her position concerning activities. There has been several complaints from family members and staff concerning her and nothing has been done about it. Too much gossiping and drama amongst staff and management. Staffing is always inadequate for the care that the residents need staff are stressed and worn out. This place needs some changes and certain staff run new staff off and when people from home office come visit everyone in management pretends very well.

They have a wonderful assisted living facility. All the nurses and staff are so friendly and welcoming. They have great meals and great activities for their residents. It feels very close knit here and I feel safe knowing that my loved one will be taken great care of!

This modest community has been here since the '70s, and has been added on to many times, and is currently experiencing a re-purposing under new management as part of the Christian Care Centers across the Metroplex. The prices are lower than many retirement places, making it attractive for those with limited income. For the most part, it is well run, and clean. As a resident moves out, the place is usually renovated. A 24 hour gated entrance helps provide some security for the residents. There are a number of ways residents can interact, including a library, meeting room, game areas, cafeteria, chapel, bingo, and others.
