I first visited the Auburn in May of 2024 to inspect a unit that was for sale. I was given a tour of the building and facilities at that time and was very impressed. After inspection I decided to rent a suite that was becoming available soon as it's location and layout appealed to me. I moved into the Auburn in July ,2024 and have not regretted that decision I have enjoyed my 2 years here. The staff kave always been very helpful and friendly. My suite is a one bedroom and den unit and the den can also serve as a guest bedroom. It is fully self-contaned and includes a full kitchen and insuite laundry which is very convenient. It is well laid-out and quiet, and I enjoy the view from the good-sized balcony The provided meals are very enjoyable and offer good variety. Lunch and supper are served in the comfortable dining room. Breakfast can be either self-serve in the dining room or do-it-yourself in your own kitchen. My fellow occupants are generally all friendly, and I have made a few special friends here. Weekly Social activities offer much variety with games, both physical and brain-teasing offered. Arts and craft activities are offered. Entertainment includes weekly guest musicians and occasional dancing groups. There are weekly Bus tours for those interested. Very Special outdoor entertainment is offered a few times in the year; these include: Cinco de Mayo Mexicam music and food :Luau Polynesian music and food. There are also other theme Events. My life here continues to be enjoyable and i intend to stay for as long as I can. Larry

Things that inspired my wife and I: The first interview we had with management was so reassuring we would be put on a list and meet our goals of living here. Since we moved in we found out there was no lack of things we could participate in. Live entertainment, Games plus social times, painting, chair Yoga, singalong’s, cribbage, ring toss to name a few. it’s pet friendly, has a hair salon for men and women. House keeping weekly and a smoke free complex with underground parking. I can’t say enough about the staff: they are on top of everything that goes on in the complex. It amazes us how they all know our names and room numbers we reside in. The meals are fantastic , from the selections you can choose from to the way it is presented to you in the dining room. If you want extras they will see that you get it if there is any leftover. They are all so courteous and bend over backwards for you with a refreshing smiles. (They are the best !!) if you have a maintenance problem, you just drop your complaint of at the mail slot at the office and it will be repaired immediately. We also have a new 15 passenger bus that takes you on road trips 4 to 5 times a month to casinos, malls, tourist attractions -Abbotsford-Mission, Harrison Lake, cultus Lake etc.etc. With a courteous bus driver who is very knowledgeable of all the areas he takes you to. The least we can say is there anything any better than this environment for a satisfying retirement. .

My mom lived in Auburn Retirement Residence for several years and it was a most perfect fit for her. The staff was wonderful - so caring and thoughtful, I knew they had my mom's safety and happiness top of mind. The food was always good and dining was a delightful experience for the residents. The building is attractive and "classy" with decorations always tasteful and current. The activities were varied, inclusive and interesting - from art to music to dance - always something going on for entertainment. I highly recommend Auburn to anyone searching for a warm, welcoming environment - the best place to be when the time comes to move into a retirement home.

Moving into Auburn Seniors Residence provided me with a sense of security and family. What a blessing not to have to worry about upkeep on my previous home. Socializing is as much or as little as you like. There is such a variety of activities available and the once a week bus trip is very much looked forward to. My suite meets all my needs and is very homey. All the staff are EXCELLENT. Very friendly and supportive. Meals are a treat, and variety is very good. All in all, I would highly recommend living at the Auburn.

When my family needed a home for my dad, we felt overwhelmed with finding the right placement, Sara was great to deal with and honestly everytime we had a question she was quick to respond. It’s been over a year now and communication has be as solid as day one. I waited sometime to post this review and quality of life for my dad has not changed since day one.

My Grammy has lived in this building for nearly 15 years and due to some decline, will be going to the next phase of assistance living but it’s important to note she has seen it all. The bad and the good. From a family perspective it’s nice knowing that anyone who lives in independent housing has that option to be taken care of during the next phase.In my grammys words, this last year in particular has been the best of her many years and we are all so grateful to all the staff. The meals have become top tier, the recreation is built to hit all the points of residents and their hobbies, events are organized and family-inclusive. Grams most recent fun memory was having an interactive shoot out with the Chiefs and the Halloween party. Our family would like to sincerely thank Sarah,Sara, Becky and all the amazing staff for your help when asked, your vision and direction and for the many years. A wonderful place and community. A friend of ours just moved in recently and the staff took her through step by step,provided a lot of information and addressed worries she had about moving into facility living. On moving day she was given welcoming flowers, a bottle of wine, some merchandise and the other residents greeted her and were warm and lovely. Recently they had a tea party and I must say they go all out on their parties. Highly recommend for anyone whose parents are needing to transition to this faze of living. Bravo!

My mother bought her place here in 2023. Staff was kind and helpful until we had an experience with a housekeeping member who complained about having to clean a plugged toilet, even though we offered to do it. This happened twice because the plumbing often backs up. My mother has poor mobility due to a surgery and upon bringing her some of the lovely baked goods they have available in the beautiful front room, I was insulted and told it doesn't matter if she can't come down and get them I can't bring them up to her. I've had many good experiences with most staff including nighttime housekeeping and on the opposite end I've had my bike stolen from their garage as well as a housekeepers bike at the same time. Meals are very nice but the portions don't even fill an adult. My mom has lost alot of weight since she moved in The programs are wonderful and the place is immaculate and we'll decorated each season. Discrimination seems to be a problem however.

Well the Auburn - is a wonderful living accommodation for you or your loved ones - Wow where do I start - The staff are top notch, friendly, kind , hospitable,! The housekeeper and maintenance team keep everything looking so clean and fresh - it’s a beautiful building - and the food and recreation - well lots of delicious menu items and lots to do from what I have seen on their recreation calander when I have gone in - wow! If you’re looking for independent living you have found home! As it’s close to amenities for ease and comfort- hopefully you’ll call Auburn home soon!

Every time I visit my Uncle, I’m greeted by the friendly staff and happy residents. My uncle always boasts about the food and, having joined him a few times for Dinner, I can see why he’s so happy!
