Wellington Oaks is a wonderful space for individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s. The daily activities create an engaging environment where residents can continue to feel involved in the community while navigating life changes. The director is approachable, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a caring and supportive memory care unit for their loved one.

Everyone here is professional and polite. They deal with a lot and I appreciate their patience with my mother. She is well taken care of here. The staff and nurses go above and beyond for my mother and I am greatly appreciative of them for that.

My mom has been at Wellington Oaks for almost 12 years. I would like to praise staff who take the time to address my concerns. Markesha Jones is one of those staff. I personally know that caregiving is hard, so I appreciate it when staff, such as, Markesha take extra time and effort.

I have a loved one that has been at Wellington Oaks Memory Care since 2018. I'm grateful to see an Executive Director that actually does more than sit behind a desk every time I come in to see my family. Anytime my loved one has something going in the community they have been very prompt about calling to let me know the matter. To know that the privacy act is held to the fullest existent makes me even happier knowing that the management team and the staff is doing what they signed up for. To the owner of Wellington Oaks you should be very proud of your staff.

Be careful handing items to the receptionists here without getting a name or a signature bc things don't always make it to your person there. They will deny receiving it!

This place is unreal let me tell u something My grandma was there, so I went to visit Them. I went in very negative and was looking for all the bad things I could. They blew me away normally when u go in places like that The first thing that hits you is the smell. Then you look at the people, a lot of times in these places the people aren't that clean. You Have to a good staff in order to what they do at wellington oaks. These people once again I've got to say it there unreal. The people was so clean the place smelled so good I couldn't believe it. Nicest people ... Memory care unit... Have helped and worked with some clents...and a PCA...there?
January 2018
My loved one has been in here several months. The building is in some disrepair and without 3-5 million, I don't think anything can be done. This facility has scored high with 5 Stars for staff capabilities. I go here zero to 4 times per day at all hours and feel somewhat comfortable leaving my loved one in the hands of the staff. So far, I have not written concerns to The State. A majority of my concerns are taken care of fairly quickly and have found most of the items residents who "shop" disappear with. Recently with the snowstorm and a funeral out of town, I was not able to pop in for 6 days and was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the room. We have to remember NC State closed Mental Care facilities in the past 5 years... where are these people? I believe some are in Memory Care facilities... A majority of all healthcare staff PCAs and CNAs are working minimum wage positions. I stop by on Holidays to check staffing levels and they are consistent with other days of the week. So, there's a good group of persons working here. I have seen much worse. The timing for medical needs such as quickly locating a thermometer for temperature or having to send off urine samples is definitely a concern, but this is not a Skilled Nursing facility. With the huge countrywide flu outbreak, luckily I have not noticed an outbreak within.

Absolutely wonderful experience here. The staff is so very kind, loving and compassionate. They understand dementia and are so patient when working with the residents. After moving our Dad here from a different facility, Wellington Oaks was a breathe of fresh air, dementia care done right. Our only regret, we didn't move our Dad here sooner. The administration and staff are great. Dad received excellent, compassionate care and was treated with dignity and respect.

Have been extremely happy with the staff and the care my Aunt has received. I would recommend this for Memory care.
