My mom was there for two years. It was a good fit for her. It was very affordable and spacious with a full kitchen, laundry etc. The nursing staff was wonderful and worked in conjunction with hospice when that time came. When I received the call, it was from the Lakehouse nursing staff and Aurora hospice together. She did not like the food nor the dining room, especially as time moved on. So, she had food brought to her and since she had a kitchen, cooked when she wanted. I could talk with admin and nursing staff who would give me their undivided attention. I’m glad I chose the Lakehouse and would do it again.

My father has been living at Lakehouse Sheboygan for 1.5 years. There is much to praise about this facility: the building and rooms are beautiful and spacious, and the staff is very friendly and caring. The nurses are responsive to the needs of the residents. However, there are areas in great need of improvement for the well-being of the residents, which I and my family have become aware of when regularly staying with my dad in his second bedroom: the food is ultra-processed with little to no nutrition and nothing fresh; for me and my siblings and mother, it is inedible. My dad eats very little of it. Our elders deserve fresher, more nutritious food. Also, the housekeeping is very inconsistent - dad's apartment when we visit is often unclean, and I spend the first day cleaning the kitchen and bathroom. I think Lakehouse can do better. I hope this review brings positive changes.

I absolutely love the ambiance of this facility. These are actual apartments that are extremely generous in size most with full kitchens and an in unit washer and dryer. Not to mention that the activities team is out of this world! The sales and administration staff is always going above and beyond.

I am so impressed with Lakehouse as a facility and even more so as a caring, wonderful community. The staff genuinely cares about the residents. I have mixed feelings about this place. The care takers who work directly with the residents are wonderful people. The employee there who work more of the corporate end, they don't care about the residents, and only care about filling the empty rooms. They'll suck you in with lies. Do not believe when they say a RN is available on site 24/7. I will be moving my parent out because of this and the cost is NOT affordable. But the care takers, they are wonderful. Simply wonderful.

Since early fall, our family has been exploring assisted living communities in the Sheboygan area. After considerable review and discussion, we agreed that Lakehouse would be an excellent option for our 97-year-old father. We have been working with Kim and have found her to be amazing! On our first tour, we found a welcoming, supportive, and thriving community. The staff were friendly and warm, and the residents we encountered appeared happy and content. There is a vibrancy the moment you enter the facility. The apartments are just that, full-size apartments. They are roomy and comfortable with a full kitchen. It has been a slow process working with our father to encourage him to embrace a move from his current home, but Kim and the staff have been extremely patient, very supportive, and helpful. We greatly appreciate the help and guidance that Kim and the staff at the Lakehouse have shared.

Kim was fantastic!! The information that we received about LakeHouse Sheboygan was clear and complete. She answered all of our questions thoroughly and was very patient and friendly. The tour Kim gave us of the facility in general as well as two apartments was excellent. This visit was time well spent!

My siblings and I just moved our mom and dad to Lakehouse this weekend. We were up and down as to whether it was a good time for the move. When is a good time for us? The decision was made a little easier because it brought our parents close to one of my sisters where otherwise they were two hours away or more from any of us. What we saw of them in their home is that they could manage but they were lonely and bored many times . I just have to say the last four days have been filled with text messages and phone calls from excited people who are jetting off to lunch, exercise, music, visiting other people I’m not even sure my dad has taken a nap yet! My mom commented today on how wonderful the staff are. She described Zach as bubbly and full of life! So if you’re wondering if now is a good time? I think you have your answer. I’m thrilled they can live out their final years with fun and excitement instead of boredom and loneliness.

My mother has lived at Lakehouse Sheboygan for over ten years. It is a beautiful facility with a warm and comfortable decor throughout all areas of the building. The staff members demonstrate a true concern for the welfare of all the residents. The numerous social activities are well planned and offer a wide variety of events so that all residents can enjoy things of interest to them. The recent change to new owners has gone very well and there is a renewed commitment to providing a caring atmosphere for everyone who lives at Lakehouse Sheboygan and their families. A sincere Thank You to all of you for what you do on a daily basis for all the residents. I am happy to say that we are currently in the process of moving my mother-in-law to Lakehouse Sheboygan, a move we can make knowing she will enjoy her new lifestyle and be well cared for every day.

Do not send your family member to Terrace Place/LakeHouse on 1231 Eisner Ave. if the family member cannot take care of him/herself. Too big of a facility. Not enough help or help at the level that is needed even though they tell you they have enough help. Do not send them if they are starting dementia or have dementia. You will be sorry and end up moving them even if you are told they can take care of your family member until hospice.

I was recently there visiting a family friend and I couldn't be happier with Terrace Place! They keep it very clean, have friendly staff, and management that is supportive. I would definitely want to send my other loved ones there!

I've visited a friend there several times. The place seems clean, adequately decorated (60s-70s). Staff seems friendly, and concerned about the residents. My friend's room was comfortable and he seemed well cared for. A variety of activities is available.
