Reviews Taylor Community
June 2023
I have been working at Taylor for 5 years in the housekeeping department. The residents as well as staff are all friendly and kind. I truly enjoy coming to work each day.
January 2023
I've worked at Taylor Community for 6 months now and making the decision to work here was the best one I've made. The management team really cares about everyone and continuously amaze me at how supportive they are to all!
October 2022
I have been a member of the Taylor Staff for 5.5 yrs now and am proud to be. It is an honor to work with so many caring, compassionate, and dedicated individuals each day. The folks that call Taylor home make coming to work each day a joy. Taylor is an incredibly friendly and welcoming place to be. There are many options to stay active, engaged and to build meaningful relationships if that is what you are looking for. It is also a place to enjoy a beautiful setting, without a worry of home maintenance, and plenty of staff to help with anything that may arise. It gives many the peace of mind that they will be supported, no matter what the future brings, and having that security for them and their families is why many call Taylor home. It is a gem in the Lakes Region. My grandmother lived at Taylor years ago and had a wonderful experience in assisted living and I would be thrilled to have more friends and family work or live here today!
August 2022
Nearly three years ago my husband and I decided it was time to explore life at Taylor for ourselves. We had friends living here who loved it, but we wanted to see what it offered us. From our first visit to The Welcome Center to today, with all that COVID -19 threw at us in between, we have felt genuinely cared about and cared for. The staff, the management and our neighbors quickly became family. Management openly seeks new ideas and addresses any resident concerns in a monthly Town Hall format where everyone is encouraged to speak. The opportunities to be active and involved are endless. We often joke that it's exhausting to live at Taylor with the calendar so full of fun and engaging things to do. I'm enjoying a second childhood! We're delighted that we decided to move here while we are still able to make the most of the varied activities, programs, trips, and classes offered. At the same time, we value the peace of mind afforded by living at a Continuing Care Retirement Community - especially this one!
August 2022
Moving to the Taylor Community was the best gift I gave myself and my family. They will not have the difficult decisions to make if I'm no longer able to care for myself or make my own choices. Taylor Is a fine community with a beautiful campus and wonderful people. Those people are residents and Staff who make life joyful. There is ever so much going on and you can participate or not as your interest indicates. People from all walks of life live here and if they have a special talent or story they are willing to share it with others. The staff is extraordinary, always a smile and willingness to help. Life is easy and pleasant at the Taylor Community

My wife and I have lived at Taylor Community for over three years and we consider it the best decision of our lives. The facilities are well maintained and the staff are fantastic!
June 2022
I have been working at Taylor Community for six months. After working for multiple different businesses in the area working here is such a refreshing, uplifting change! Both the residents and employees are always very positive. This is truly a career vs. a job!
May 2022
I have been an independent resident at Taylor Community for over 17 years. My mother was a resident here as well back in the 1990's. While she was a resident she availed herself to all three levels of care, independent, assisted and nursing. All through her tenure she never complained once. As her son, I had no complaints about her care either. My wife and I have been extremely happy too. Especially, during COVID the Taylor staff has taken extraordinary care to keep us safe including arranging for vaccinations for all staff and residents as soon as the vaccine became available and providing in home services such as grocery shopping and meal deliveries without extra charges.
February 2022
I work with folks that remind me of family. I go home and feel good, I have made positive change in someone's life. Our residents have the best life and it is because of our team of amazing people.
January 2022
We have been Taylor residents since May of 2020 having moved here in the midst of the COVID pandemic. The entire staff couldn't have been more helpful in welcoming us and helping to get us settled. Staff input didn't end there. Everyone is available for any help you need. It is an incredibly active community with numerous opportunities for entertainment, sports, special interests. Best decision we've ever made.
January 2022
I have been working at Taylor Community for seven years, but this is no more "just a job" for me than it is for nearly everyone working here. We provide our residents with exceptional quality of life. For those who are independent, Taylor offers a fun, vibrant, engaging life full of friends, activities and opportunities to enjoy every day. For those who need a little more help, Taylor offers the same--as well as excellent care and support to ensure that our residents are safe, comfortable, and happy. I couldn't imagine a better environment in which to work or live--I would be happy to have my own family members move to Taylor. Taylor Community is a truly special place!
November 2021
I have been a resident of Taylor Community for 3 years. I decided to move here after reflecting back on the experience of my mother who was a Taylor resident for 10 years starting in 1988. She was very happy living in her Ledges cottage for many years and then moved on to assisted living in Ledgeview and then on to nursing as her Alzheimer's disease got worse. As the only son I cannot imagine how I would have managed this type of transition and her failing health if it had not been for Taylor Community and their concept continuing care. Today Taylor, compared to 1988, has a greatly expanded set of services for independent living while being deemed by the state of NH during a recent impromptu state inspection as the "gold standard" of how assisted living and nursing facilities should operate.
November 2021
I left Massachusetts in January to move to New Hampshire specifically to work for Taylor Community. After 11months I can truly say this was the best career move in my life. The residents, staff and greater Lakes Region have made this not just a job relocation but is now without hesitation my home.
October 2021
We were initially drawn to Taylor by its commitment to charitable care and the positive experience of a friend's family whose mother Taylor tended long after the depletion of her finances. Learning more, we were impressed by the positive attitudes, professionalism, and teamwork of the staff. Did we mention their humor? There's plenty of it. It's respectful and meets us where we are, and that goes a long way for us. The clincher was the Taylor Connection program - we are continuing care contract residents living the independent phase of our Taylor life in our own home. For more information be sure to contact the admissions team. They're terrific! Bob and Peggy MacArthu

August 2020
I recently helped to place my future father-in-law in the Assisted Living facility at Taylor. We have found Taylor to be a resident-focused, highly very professional community which provides superior care in a very warm and positive environment. We feel a great amount of relief knowing our person is safe and cared for.The residents in his facility are more l like an extended family. The staff is well trained, courteous, and helpful.
December 2019
I have worked at TC for more than 19 years, the residents are wonderful as well as the staff. It is a great place to work and live.
June 2019
We moved to Taylor Community from Maryland about a year and a half ago and are so glad we made the move when we were still able to take advantage of the many activities and opportunities the Community offers. We have enjoyed the many Taylor trips to attractions in the New England area as well as the wellness activities including water aerobics classes, hiking group, tai chi classes, and the exercise facility. We love the beautiful Taylor campus, so close to the many lakes and mountains in the area including the nearby Gunstock Resort ski area. We have been most grateful for the people here - the caring, helpful, and friendly staff have been outstanding and the residents very welcoming and friendly. We love it here.
April 2019
Resident are well cared for at Taylor Community, the staff is very supportive. There are so many things to do you are never bored. Many comment "we should have moved here sooner". Taylor Community is a fantastic place to live.
