I do want to preface this review by saying we did encounter some great aides/medtechs during the short time our family member (FM for short) was there. But overall, the experience was AWFUL! And it was all seemingly due to leadership/direction provided by administrator [name removed]. Of course, there were times of understaffing/high turnover, but we know that is an issue at most, if not all, facilities. But- I can see why people don’t stick around here. In less than 8 months, the community relations person, clinical coordinator, RSC and several aides we dealt with all left. Our FM was in the memory care wing since they had dementia and we were told this facility had “specialize dementia care”. HA! What a joke. If anyone has ever watched someone live with dementia, they know how devastating it is. Watching them fade with so much fear, confusion, sadness and loss is awful. We were presented with a convincing sales pitch that this would be a safe environment for our loved one, with well-trained, caring staff. It is so unfortunate that this facility/[name removed] made such a heartbreaking time SO MUCH WORSE. Our relative was treated like they were a problem or a “bad seed” - intentionally exhibiting dementia behaviors when in actuality they had a DISEASE that damaged their brain cells. Nobody with this crushing disease should be treated this way during their last chapter. Even after this horrible experience, if [name removed] (or any of her loved ones) were ever to be diagnosed with this terrible disease, I wish her a better experience with more humane treatment than our loved one and whole family received under her tenure as administrator.

Both of my parents have been a part of the Grand Pines community, and I can’t recommend them more highly. The staff is attentive and caring, and really go out of their way to create an active, engaging and supportive environment. They have also been very supportive and communicative with me and my siblings as we’ve navigated supporting my parents from a distance. The care is extraordinary and I greatly appreciate all that they do.

I attended a wonderful Christmas Party with my mother at GP. My mother has been living here a year now! This has been a wonderful place for my mom. She feels safe and well cared for. It gives our family peace of mind knowing she is living in a great home!

My wife Linda who probably will need memory and nursing care in the next year, visited without an appointment on a Monday morning. We were greeted warmly by a receptionist. She phoned a representative to come to the front desk and give us a tour after a brief conversation in a conference room. We saw several of the residents in the common areas. Our tour guide was very helpful and we were shown a studio and one bedroom unit. That was very helpful along with the viewing of the dining and activity area.

The staff and all of the accommodations at Grand Pines are exceptional. From the moment you walk in the front door and are greeted by Deana, to the stroll down the hall, everyone says hello. Activities, social hours, dining, hair salon are all wonderful attributes my Mom enjoys and utilizes frequently. Our favorite is the cleaning staff here! Dani goes above and beyond to make my Moms room so tidy and clean. I enjoy the fact that she’s such a hard worker, yet takes time to chat with my Mom as she diligently cleans. She’s a wonderful addition to the cleaning staff. Thanks Grand Pines for making this a home for my Mom!

My sister and I brought our mom through for a tour with Brianna, and it was such a pleasant experience for all of us. Brianna and the staff we met were very friendly, and the atmosphere of this assisted living facility was so bright and cheery! This facility ranks top on my list for a new home for our sweet mom.

Clean place for mom, she loves the food and people. She is in a locked section of the nursing home because of alzheimers. One night some how she got out but thankfully they got her pretty quick.

Tiffany toured with us yesterday and she did a great job! She answered all our questions and went over the details that my clients needed to know before placement! She brought us in three different apartments and showed us one that was furnished just so we could get a good idea on how it could look! Thank you Tiffany!!

My father is in Grand Pines for a second, permanent stay. The staff has gone above and beyond to provide a smooth transition, and to make him feel welcome. They worked with us to get him a lovely apartment, and held it until he was able to move there. I'm impressed with all aspects of the facility and highly recommend it.

My mother was a resident of Grand Pines and my mother-in-law is currently a resident...both received compassionate care. The administration listens and answers questions promptly and the staff are engaged and kind. During COVID restrictions, they have implemented appropriate protection strategies for residents and staff. The facilities”inside and out” are well- maintained and the food is very good. My wife and I appreciate the respectful care provided our loved ones at Grand Pines.
