Communication within this facility is absolutely terrible ! There should be no reason why family should have had to track down any kind of staff over questions and concerns. Also was not impressed with the fact that some nursing staff were argumentative with patients , As to whether or not something was true or not. Also had issues with transfers to doctors appts which was discussed while said person was in there care they would make sure that said patient had transportation to said appt , but when time came said bus was broke down and they couldn't, but yet when family left later on that afternoon the bus was running for different activities, Which therefore left family to pay out if pocket for services they were suppose to offer under the care plan in place. Just a over all horrible experiance

At Silver Oaks residents are treated like family! The staff goes above and beyond for them so they know they are valued and will be cared for regardless of their situation. Some are there for a short rehab stay but are treated the same way, they are happy to get to go home, however they are also sad to leave their "new family".

Add my Uncle in at silver oaks for 2 weeks the floors were dirty when he went down to lunch in the backsection he was eating with dirty dishes all around them when he ate in his room they didn't come and get his dirty dishes till later on and and we won't be sending him back there no more

If you are looking for a place to help your loved one whether it be rehab or long term care Silver Oaks is the place to go. They have wonderful staff and a very homey environment. They also have great events and activities that bring meaning to your family members life. Their therapy department is the best in Columbus. There is no doubt that my family will go to their facility. They are a facility you truly can trust to treat your loved one like family.

My mother was in Rehab 4 times over the past about 5 years, with the last Sep 3 - Oct 15, 2021. Food was very good! Professional staff (PT, OT, nurse/doctor level - esp Melissa that uses a cane) all good, there was a mix of very kind & good (Liam and Seth) and unkind hourly staff in CNA's, especially on night duty. Call button responsiveness was ok but not good too many times resulting in bladder or bowel accidents. PT was lax in returning to carry on with PT when they arrived to collect Mom and found her unavailable (in bathroom or with visitors), resulting in some days no PT at all. Cleanliness was acceptable. Pandemic-related and staff shortage issues aside (many businesses impacted by these things), we observed institutional gaps in care that need addressed. We doubted attending staff had insight on the patients they were attending that could provide more consistency in care. Ex: my mother's dietary needs were not honored sometimes...soft diet, no straws not heeded, her frequent (2-5 times) night need to go to the bathroom resulted in mean treatment and commentary. Standard operating procedures & staff discipline, if institutionalized well, sorely needed. Kindness and responsiveness are key for elderly incapable people. We are all going there, we owe our older population confined to health care facilities respect, dignity, and kindness.

This is a phenomenal senior living and rehabilitation facility! The staff are kind and caring. The campus is bright, clean and welcoming. Silver Oaks is a great home away from home!

I am very appreciative of the kindness shown my mother by the staff. She is starting her third year at the campus in assisted living. She was also in health care prior to that. She has adjusted to her new home and feels comfortable at the campus. I feel so much better knowing she is safe and the staff is doing their best to meet her needs! Thank you.
