After a brief waiting period, I had the opportunity to transfer my mother to The Pines Memory Care Facility from another institution, and the disparity in quality and care between the two establishments is remarkably profound. The professionalism and attentiveness of the staff at The Pines are commendable. They promptly respond to requests, demonstrating a high level of efficiency and dedication. It has been heartening to witness staff members across various roles exhibiting genuine compassion and care towards all residents. I am particularly grateful for the open communication maintained by the nursing staff and other caregivers. They proactively contact me with updates regarding any changes in my mother's behavior or well-being, ensuring I am fully informed and involved in her care. The administration has been incredibly accommodating, extending invitations to care planning meetings and willingly adjusting schedules to suit my availability, which has significantly enhanced the collaborative approach to my mother's care plan. Observing my mother transition from a state of confusion and discomfort to feeling settled and at home within her room has been profoundly reassuring. The cleanliness of her living space and the facility's communal areas is consistently impeccable, further reflecting the high standards upheld by The Pines. The previous facility where my mother resided temporarily pales in comparison to The Pines in every conceivable aspect. I am profoundly thankful for the opportunity to have my mother reside at The Pines, and I highly recommend this facility for their exceptional care, professionalism, and dedication to residents' well-being.

The Pines of Sarasota and the people who work there are AMAZING! The facility is beautiful and so very clean. The staff is wonderful, kind, caring, helpful, everything you hope for when caring for you or your loved one. My elderly mom has been there almost a week. We go there everyday to see her, and my siblings and I couldn't be happier.

No place is perfect but Pines of Sarasota is the closest to it. The staff is awesome. The facility is very clean and nice. Highly recommend them.

I give 3 stars because neither me or use their service but I met someone, who is a skilled nurse there and I can say I like the atmosphere and cleanliness. The receptionist was so busy answering the phone I can't even talk to them to ask questions.

As a nurse in sarasota, i was very nervous for my grandmother to go to a facility I didn't know anything about but after reading reviews, and talking to some healthcare friends in the community that knew the facility, I decided to try it out. It was the best decision we made. My grandmother was there for several weeks and declined until she passed away ( it was expected with her diagnosis). I was so happy with the kindness and care that was given to not only my grandma, but my family and myself , as well. Everyone was so amazing. Towards the end of her life, I spent long days there .... They even said I was welcome to spend the night and showed up with a "comfort cart" filled with books, snacks, radio and coffee machine. I was so supported in my time of need. I could not have been more supported going through this difficult process of losing my loved one but the staff at The Pines made it so much better. They truly cared. People came to check on my grandma, even if not assigned to her that day, just because they had her at some point while in facility. They went above and beyond for all of us. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone.
April 2023
HR is not aware of scheduling availability of the facility and was pushing to have some drop second jobs in order to accommodate their facility/schedule, which is unrealistic and unfair. Ultimatums for sacrifice of jobs & livelihood or income should never happen, because they feel they are "owed" something. Also had lost some of my paperwork. Further reinforces bad HR outlook. This review is coming from an employee standpoint. Staff trying to take other employees assignments was common place and it was not out of necessity, but preference. This is selfish and rude/not cordial. Two managers left within my first few months here, one was a unit manager who was very pleasant and sweet & the other was a nightshift manager that never said hello, only barked orders. Scheduling was an absolute mess for a long time, with mandatory floats to units outside of regular staff assignment. Not ideal, but thus is the nature of the work in nearly all nursing homes. Overall residents are taken care of and there is opportunity for free online education courses to maintain licensure which is good, but employee satisfaction is lacking. Wish I could give more stars but was disappointed

I worked here for 30 years and they shipped me out to the hospital. WHY?!?

Highly recommend!! Great care, gorgeous brand new rooms w/ private bathroom. Equivalent to Sunnyside the "Disneyland of private nursing homes". Couldn't ask for better care for my mother.

The Physical Therapy department is just great. Over the past six years, I have received therapy on my right hip, left hip, and just finished therapy on my right shoulder for tendon tears. My progress in each case was remarkable, and the staff really knows what they're doing. Three months ago, I couldn't raise my arm above my shoulder. Now have have nearly a full range of motion. Ray Pulido is just fantastic!

I was referred to Dr. Ray Pulido by a trusted friend whose husband had benefited from his services. I had just been diagnosed with neurological balance disorder and knew I needed a well trained and experienced physical therapist to help me. Dr. Pulido (or Ray, as I call him) has been outstanding in every way. His caring personality, in addition to his knowledge, and professionalism have helped me tremendously. I no longer fall. In addition to strengthening my legs Ray has taught me strategies for daily activities which prevent my falling. When my problem was first diagnosed I was told it was dangerous to continue walking my dog. Ray has helped me continue to walk my beloved pet safely. Thank you dear Ray!

My wife has a debilitating neurological problem that began with serious balance problems. We heard about the balance program at The Pines of Sarasota and its head Physical Therapist, Dr. Ray Pulido. We have been seeing Ray for three years now and Ray has been very helpful to Maureen in dealing with her balance and gait issues and preserving her strength. His positive attitude is inspiring. We recommend this program very highly. Ralph Cerny

Thanks to Ray Polido , I am improving my knee pain by doing the many exercises Ray devises for me. He is a gentle person and takes my daily situation as far as pain very seriously . I appreciate his excellent training and his warm personality. Barcy Grau
February 2022
My primary care physician, Dr. Francisco Cervoni referred me to Dr. Ray Pulido, PT. DPT, AIB-VR at the Pines of Sarasota for my significant gate and balance issues. That choice was excellent. Due to my many surgeries and age related issues my needs are numerous. Dr. Ray's evaluation and programs met the challenges. His knowledge is extensive and his approaches to my problems were most beneficial. He has a warm and comforting manner, frequently engaging one as he works his way through the incremental and progressive steps of well studied programs. This warm, considerate and conversational demeanor leaves me satisfied and looking forward to the next visit. The whole program is not quick, the efforts are increasing but the rewards are there. The improvements are indeed most rewarding. Dr. Ray has the total package of a truly first class professional. Ingrid S. Bedford

The gait and motion therapy I am receiving at the Pines of Sarasota by Dr. Ray Polido is both helpful and rewarding. Although the challenge ahead for me is great, I am confident, with Ray's knowledge and techniques, I will continue to experience improvement in my vestibular rehab. He truly exemplifies the meaning of a professional in his knowledge, his personality, his sense of humor, and his overall approach to giving care and optimism to his patients! Excellent choice!

l had started to have some difficulty with falling at my home. I heard from friends that a physical therapist by the name of Ray at Pines was especially helpful. I called and we began working together to prevent any future falls. He has been extremely helpful! His office at the Pines of Sarasota has a balance apparatus that teaches you how to practice keeping your balance! Several months have passed now with no falls! I highly recommend Ray at the Pines of Sarasota!

I am an Audiologist and have referred many of my patients to see Dr. Ray Pulido for physical therapy. My patients have had outstanding results with his care and I will not refer anywhere else. One of the most important things is that he is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and not just an assistant. Dr. Pulido is very knowledgeable and really takes the time to get to know his patients instead of just rushing them out the door. He has helped my patients walk better and feel stronger which in return improves their quality of life. Most patients drive from far away just to see him. I would not hesitate to make an appointment with him to see how he can improve your life.

At 81 yrs. of age and two total knee replacements and a multitude of other health issues, I find that my Balance - Ain't what it used to be!! Thus I am willing to drive from Englewood to see Dr. Ray Pulido for Out Patient Therapy. He "Rocks" - Very knowledgeable and pleasant to urge me thru new challenges which have already helped me get over the fear of falling.

I am extremely excited to be in the next management team member at the Pines of Sarasota. I have listened and witnessed the new and improved Pines facility for geriatric patients. I honestly can say the one thing that draws me to this facility is that it's all about the patients and their needs. I want to be able to as a manager give my patients the best care possible. I completely understand if you're bringing a family member to a facility do you want the best care. I can honestly say that I believe 100% you will get that care at the Pines of Sarasota.
March 2020
This is my 2nd visit to the Physical Therapy center at the Pines. The 1st time was a very good experience with the staff getting my life back on track. After my hip replacement. I requested Ray and his staff at the Pines , to get my balance and legs working again, they are succeeding in both..The staff is very knowledgeable to ensure the best exercises for you. A great crew, thank you all Peter Thompson
