Recent changes in nursing management really shows. Better staffing and care improvements being made. Seems many facilities could not recover from COVID and this was one. Glad to see the turn around hope it continues. Was there this week visiting a friend and felt welcomed. Building could you an update as the decore is old and not as nice as some of the others.

We LOVE White Oak! We recently had to move my grandmother into the facility and they have been nothing but helpful and kind. I feel safe with her being there in such good hands. I would recommend them to anyone!

I have had the pleasure of working for this company for just over 11 years, in three of our buildings. It has been a good company to work for...I have met many nice co-workers, residents, and family members. There are MANY, MANY factors involving how a company is run and the services that we provide to our residents. I have seen many staff come and go over the years, but have seen many staff stay for many years as well. We, as employees and likewise residents and family members, each have a different story to tell. In my experience, White Oak is the BEST nursing facility that you could ever put your loved one into. While each situation and experience is different, I believe that overall we take great care of our residents. I saw this not only as an employee, but as a daughter of a parent who was a resident in one of our facilities. Thank you for your time.

I have mixed feeling about this facility due to a really bad water bug problem that now seems to be under control. Nurses and staff would walk by as though they didn't see them. Also, the food doesn't seem edible a lot of times. You feel as though you've left your loved ones in a prison. There are times my mother will get egg or pimento cheese sandwich and tomato soup (which is a dietary restriction for her) for dinner or sometimes no meat just mushy vegetables and bread. I've also seen her with a dinner plate full of straight starches as though they've run out of food. I would think the food would be along the lines of hospital food but it's not. I am finding myself ordering her takeout a lot. The facility should know the dietary restrictions that their patients/our loved ones have instead of just throwing something together.

I have seen many mixed reviews about this facility and I really feel a lot of it is mis guided and unfair. Having to put your loved one into a facility is a hard decision, and what I've learned through my experience is that you can't assume that just because you are in a nice fancy place that the service is going to match the quality of the decor. This place is not fancy. It's a bit cramped and it would be great if the rooms were bigger and the facility over all was more modern. That is one of the reasons I took a star off. As any government run facility they need more people on staff. The people that work there would probably agree, but this a loving environment that tends to its patients and provides a safe nurturing environment. There is an outdoor courtyard where the residents can grow flowers and vegetables. It has tables and benches for them to be able to enjoy the sunshine on nice days. Staff is always around from what I can tell. I visit my grandmother here often and I've never had trouble finding someone if I have a question. There are activities planned throughout the day. From Bingo to a manicure time for the ladies, sand art, church and other activities. The doors are always open to visiting family and the staff is very welcoming. The facility while outdated perhaps, is clean. There is no odor of urine or any other unpleasant smells associated with nursing homes. The food from what I've seen and my grandmother tells me is tasty and provides a good variety of nutrients. I have visited several times and am pleased with what I've seen. I definitely plan on visiting regularly and will add to this should my opinion change. It's a overwhelming process for the patient as well as the family and definitely takes time for everyone to get adjusted. For me I feel my grandmother is safe in a very caring environment and this gives me great peace of mind.
