I would like to share my experience of having my Mother, Mary Hawkins, in the Atrium Section,back in late March and early April.Having to put my Mother in rehab,was very hard on the family,and not feeling good about nursing homes anyway did not help.But having Paula being one of the aides that took care of my Mother changed my attitude.Ms.Paula was so caring,patience and loving towards my mother that whenever she was there,I had a peace of mind when I was not there.Ms.Paula could get my Mother to do things that I others could not.I didn't want my Mother laying in the bed all day,and Ms.Paulacwoukd get her up,dressed and sitting in the wheelchair in the room or out in the hallway.She would wash my Mother up,and have her dress and looking pretty.My mother really like Ms.Paula,and would ask me,was Ms.Paula coming in today if,she did not see her.Having Ms.Paula was truly a Blessing for our family and everyone talked about have caring she was with our Mother.I also observed her with the other patients and she was the same way.If you had a 100 Ms.Paulas working for your home,everyone would want to come to NcNaughten Pointe.

My mother just transferred to Mcnaughten and my sister who resides in Columbus found this gem . I live in Durham, NC and have POA for my Mom. I took an unannounced visit to the facility to discuss financial arrangements. I facility was clean and ordor free. The staff was friendly and the facility was well lit. I talked to Juanita Smith who is the Business Office Manager and she immediately invited me into her office and took care of the financial arrangements. She is second to none and I left the facility feeling mom is in good hands!!! Ben

I would give you(5) Stars, but don't want it to go to your heads! Seriously, though, I have been a patient here since September 9th. When I had emergency surgery because I almost broke my neck, from blacking out and falling for a whole week. I was transported here, and quite nervous. But when I got inside, and saw the most comforting wall border and furnishings, I felt more at ease. When they put that country-quilt on me, I slept better then I have in months. I can't remember all the names and faces, and will NOT put one out in front of another. I do however, believe I will not be forgotten., especially by the PT s. The loving care from the whole staff will be etched within my heart. I will continue praying for the patients. I WILL RECOMMEND McNaughton Pointe!!! PLEASE, STAY SAFE & HEALTHY

Don't let these few fake pictures fool you. This place is not that pleasant. No one was smiling and thumbs upping anyone when I was in there and it wasn't all sunny and roses. It's a miserable-feeling place. Many of the rooms have two people packed in like sardines in tiny rooms. And when I came out, a dead body was leaving at the same time. This is not a retirement community in Florida.

I had been hospitalized a couple months treating pneumonia & CHF when I arrived at McNaughten Pointe for rehab & trachea care. Both progressed at a good rate. The Respiratory team is first class. My trachea was successfully removed during my stay. My feeding tube (peg) was successfully removed a few days later. Both are healing nicely. All the while, I was receiving PT: & OT from the wonderful technicians to relearn dressing, standing, walking & stairs. There are many reasons to recommend McNaughten Pointe including the PT staff. To Gina, Whitley, Maxine, Christine, Joy, Amy, Scott, Ashley, & Rejinder I say thank you for your healing care & expertise. To Miss Linda, Miss Monica & Miss Paula, thank you for day to day care that is beyond compare! I highly recommend care at McNaughten Point, Linda Henrie

McNaughten Pointe is one of 2 skilled nursing facilities in Columbus that accepts ventilator patients. I toured both and was very happy that I chose McNaughten Pointe for my husband. They have wonderful respiratory staff and he was able to be weaned from the ventilator before we left. The nursing staff and STNA’s are kind and caring. McNaughten has a very approachable administrative team who take the time to listen to concerns and work at making improvements for residents and their families. My husband spent many months at McNaughten and when he left if was a little like leaving family behind. It’s true that they can be understaffed from time to time but that happens in other facilities too. I was at McNaugten Pointe every day and I never left that place in the evening worried about my husband’s care. I always felt he was in good hands.
