You will not find a nicer place for people who are in need of independent living or dependent. If you do, you’re very lucky! We visited several retirement homes around our area and I also have experience dealing with retirement homes in the past. Not only is the building top notch, the staff is the best. Don’t believe me, ask them how long they have worked there.

Night staff is terrible. Understaffed in the evening. Wait for 2 hours or more for help. Attitudes are getting worse

They did NOT provide good care. Bed sheets were never changed during their stay and bedside commode had to be emptied by the family , dirty floors in the room.

This place has some good employees but mostly this was a horrible experience. Food was ick. My mom's bedside commode was never emptied, floor was dirty, room was not fresh smelling at all. They did not offer to shower her and her sheets were never changed being there 4 weeks. They just don't care enough. Find another facility is my advise to you.

Late retrieving patients from the hospital. No UTI prevention protocol in place despite being asked about it for 25 years. Food is low quality and quantity. For example, 5 French fries.

Our dad lives in Assisted living. He really likes it there. We feel they take good care of him. The staff is very caring and he feels they are his second family. The one thing that would be on the down side is the food. It is definitely not the home cooking one would be used to. Over all we appreciate that staff that takes care of our dad.

My mom was in the rehab center for a couple weeks with wonderful care. The aids and nurses to this day work very hard to keep up with every ones care. Any time when there was something wrong or a concern they addressed it within a timely manner. Brookhaven staff were nice, clean and respectful. The room had a gorgeous & clean view while she was staying there.

My family's experience from Brookhaven's Independent Living and Assisted Living Community has been outstanding. My mom liked the cleanliness and welcome feeling you get when you arrive. She has enjoyed the company of both the staff and fellow residents. It is such a relief to know that there are people who care, look over her and ensure she get her meds on time! Anytime I have a concern, I just tell the staff and some little Angel takes care of it. Thanks again - so glad you are here for my Mom!

I want to give a Special thanks to those who helped me in rehab with a broken ankle. The Nurses especially, who went out of their there way to help me. They were expcially kind. So were the cooks and various helpers, including therapists. They really made me feel welcome. I felt like I was leaving friends. A special thanks to the Nurses.

I highly recommend this facility to anyone. The staff is very well-trained and extremely caring. I am back in my own home now because of their care. therapy dept is top-notch. Dietary goes above and beyond with the meals. If I ever need a care facility in the future I will pick Brookhaven for sure. I really enjoyed my stay there!

The caregivers are caring people who do a good job taking care of the residents. Meals are balanced with a meat, vegetables, fruit(ie. Apple sauce) and carbohydrates (potatoes, rolls, bread) and a choice of drink.

My father was recently there for rehabilitation. all staff were wonderful to him, my mom, and myself. all his medical needs were met and questions answered. so much better then stony springs in vandalia.

This is a WONDERFUL a place compared to many others!!! Everyone is so very helpful as well as friendly! And before long, you will become “ONE OFTHE FAMILY”! Take a look around; walking paths, ponds with geese and ducks, fishing, all so peaceful and serine! There are both cottages as well as 1 & 2 bedroom apartments to suit you living style and needs. I am so very glad I found this place……I couldn’t be happier!

We love living in our Villa apartment here at Brookhaven. When we decided to downsize planning for the later years in life, we shopped around Montgomery Co. checking on all the options in the area. Brookhaven was the "best" for senior needs - a wonderful place to live on lovely grounds full of nature with rehabilitation, asst. living and nursing options right next door if and when the need arises. The staff here are kind, attentive and respectful. Lots to do with activities and outings if interested! Brookhaven is the best! My mother was a resident in the nursing center for over three years. The staff is wonderful and we were very happy with the care and services BrookHaven provided. The activity staff are always planning fun things to entertain everyone.

I am always impressed when I visit Brookhaven Villas. It is beautiful, clean, and the staff and residents always look happy.

Staff are friendly and the place is kept clean, but they don't seem to give the patients the attention that they should. They are too restrictive when it comes to meals and availability of food and drink. They do call to give medical updates but they don't seem as knowledgeable about the patient as they should. They are too focused on profits and not enough on quality care.

The facility and grounds are really nice. It seems the quality of service was also in the past. However, it seems that it has recently sold and is under new ownership. It seems they are cutting everything back as far as possible to maximize profits. The food quality and quantity is worse than anything I have seen and I have been in quite a few facilities. They brought in an untrained large pup to live with the patients. It seems to be damaging their skin. Our parent's health deteriorated significantly after moving to this facility. Promises they made before we moved were ignored after we moved our parent here. I really hope the new ownership decides to turn things around and not ruin this once great community.
