Staff does not care about the residents. They ask for supplies when the resident has supplies or money in their account. Residents belongs disappear and they call you to replace. Memory care residents can wonder from room to room and take other residents belongs. They don’t do anything with the residents. They are known in the industry and it’s not a good reputation.

I had the pleasure to visit New Hanover House recently and I was very impressed with the facilities and staff. Everyone seemed so friendly and my relative loves living there.

Please if you can avoid this company at all costs, they've left lisa in charge, she's a power hungry monster,take deeper look at why the staff turnover is horrible,she runs off good people and keep those who are one in the same with her,the residents are not properly given baths,the residents clothes and bed linen isn't washed properly,and staff just clock in and leave as they please without clocking out, smoking marijuana on the premises, things aren't cleaned properly especially the eating area,covid is spreading like a wildfire,roach and bedbug infestation... There are several videos of her talking down to people for the fun of it,and talk negatively about others and belittling others for the fun of it,this includes residents and staff,lisa it's supposed to be there to keep everything in order but purposely creates chaos to secure her own.. I truly wish I could show several of those videos of her, please get your family out of there. A lady by the name of Jackie has been purposely overmedicated and put in mental facilities due to her expressing the same concerns as a regular, she's continuously released from the facilities because they see no mental illnesses, Lisa utilizes her power, to have these things done every time the lady speaks up, and whenever the lady which name is Jackie is place back at New Hanover House, she is overmedicated and can barely get up for breakfast or lunch... Brandon breedlove works in the front office,of course he wants to brownnose, against company policy for staff members to be able to write fake/false reviews,and whenever the 90 day probation period is over and benefits kick in is normally whenever they purposely get rid of kitchen staff.. .

After reading some of the older reviews, I had my hesitations regarding the facility and staff. However, it is evident there have been many positive changes! The facility is clean, inviting, and well cared for. The staff is also excellent! Everyone I have had contact with there has been friendly and extremely helpful! I highly recommend.

New Hanover House is a wonderful facility! The housekeepers are so hard working and they keep the facility spotless! The staff truly cares about their residents like they are family. Overall this is a great place to work or live.
