I visited, and the place is absolutely extravagant. The residents and staff make the atmosphere feel wonderful and welcoming. The staff member who works at the front desk greets you kindly and professionally to which I can feel the formality throughout the place. Walking around the hallways, both the staff and residents smile and wave to you; and overall I can feel the comfortably among this environment at Brandy Wine.

i have visited and had family in assisted living facilities in our area, Brandywine Livingston is the best overall for the care, food, physical facility and the programs they offer. we have been here 5 years.

From the moment we walked in we were impressed by the attention to detail and obvious care that went into making the place warm, home-like, and inviting - so much so that my mother-in-law actually expresses a sort of "awe" at what we were seeing. Since then, we've been very impressed by the support staff's attentiveness, and just the place's overall attention to detail; their celebratory holiday events (where family can come and join in), the many activities that take place daily in the Memory Care area in which my mother-in-law resides, and the overall feeling of compassion.

My Mom has been at Brandywine Livingston for almost 3 months and we have been so happy with the care she has received, the respect they give her and other residents and the patience they have shown her (she is in Reflections which is the Memory Care), the food, the activities, the responsiveness both to our questions as well to my Mom and it really has exceeded our expectations. It's a lovely place that doesn't feel like an assisted living facility (it feels more like an upscale luxury hotel or a country club but yet does feel homey) and is very well maintained and clean. The staff is super helpful and it has given us great comfort to know she is well taken care of.

My parents moved to Brandywine Livingston 2 years ago. The staff is lovely and caring, and willing to help with whatever they need. Although sometimes short staffed (dining room) everyone seems to be trying their best. The food is good and you really can order almost anything you might like. The cost has gone up quite a bit in the 2 years.

Mom has been at Brandywine Livingston for almost 5 years and we could not be happier. The Staff is warm and caring with lots of activities where socializing is a top priority. In fact, Mom is never in her room except to sleep!! The food is gourmet with lots of choices but also have the basics available at every meal. The desserts are especially delicious. I love how they cater to the age of the residents with music from their era always playing through the sound system and movies galore from every decade! When there is an issue with Mom, which is rare, they call us immediately to keep us updated on her health. It has been such a blessing to know that Mom is well cared for when we cannot be there. Oh, and on a side note, the facility is gorgeous, like a 5 star hotel with cleaning done daily. The outdoor grounds are immaculate and the grandkids love visiting the fish pond!! If you are considering Brandywine Livingston do not think twice - you will be forever grateful for the loving care given here.

On behalf of my family I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Joann Ryan and Veniza Wade for all they have done for our mother and for all of us over the last three weeks. We haven't heard our mother this happy or seen her this relaxed in years! She has expressed many times how happy she is, how wonderful and attentive the staff has been, how delicious the food is and how much she enjoys many of the residents whom she has met. As you are aware there have been complaints.... no surprise there...but no deal breakers. We are appreciative of the fact that the Brandywine community is now part of our family team! Please extend our gratitude to your entire team!

After a long and exhaustive search to find the right facility for my Dad, we settled on Brandywine in Livingston. The staff and facility has far exceeeded our expectations. The facility is immaculate and the staff is focused on "care" and it shows. My Dad has non stop activities to keep him busy and socially connected. Recently he's had some minor health issues. The medical staff led by head of Nursing Mary Rich have been proactive and attentive to every need. We don't have to worry if my Dad is getting the best care possible!

The beautiful lobby is just a facade. Food is mediocre, activities are fair... The medical personnel are very caring in giving out medications... And the sides that work there are nice Management is not as caring - it's a business to them and there is not coloring outside the lines.

I have nothing but good things to say about Brandywine since I started working here. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with all residents needs. Our front line staff should be commended on their efforts to meet each and every need of all residents. The residents are so kind and have such wonderful stories to share! My father was one of the first people living here. Brandywine is a lovely establishment aesthetically - very high class looking. That said, there is a systemic problem in their high rate of staff turnover and lack of both ability and wanting to accommodate all the needs of the community. If the person looking at Brandywine is in 100% perfect health, then this place will do. That said, my father is not and Brandywine simply couldn't manage (nor does it want to) people who have certain needs - so buyer beware. (and his needs are not out of the ordinary for somebody who is elderly - he has some cognitive memory issues) My father requires medication to be dispensed on-time, which was often not the case. Many times he was kept waiting for over an hour which is simply unacceptable. This waiting caused my father agitation and the consistency of their lack of urgency and ability to dispense properly led to a few occasions where he had an outburst. Outbursts can easily be managed - this I have learned from my experience, as well as talking with people who run programs my father attends as well as other establishments; Brandywine has neither the understanding/capacity nor wanting to deal with anybody who doesn't fit their limited paradigm. He also got agitated a few times by their dining staff's inability to serve correctly and/or on time (both my wife and I agree the food at Brandywine is akin to the cafeteria food we had while at college). The dining staff are very nice people - just understaffed with high turnover. As example, my wife and I joked how my swordfish I got served was like a hockey puck and how when my kids ordered lunch there (we would visit my father), although the menu said fries, they never had fries and my kids got potato chips instead. Our 12:30 pm lunch would often end way past 2pm, even 3pm (not great with young children). While Brandywine certainly has the right to choose who they do and do not want living at their facilities, I went from being a fan to being quite disappointed over time and only now feel comfortable sharing my opinion. If you or your loved one have any type of "challenge," in my opinion Brandywine is the last place they should live. Brandywine is ill-equipped to handle anyone with a challenge and management there has no interest in doing so. My father is now living in an establishment equivalent to Brandywine, so a purely lateral move and he is much happier. He is a much happier man today than when he lived there.

The facility is beautiful and the staff very nice. The only complaint is the food. My mother hates the food and most times won't eat it. She'll microwave her own. They are supposed to have a 4 star chef on board with gourmet food. This is not the case and for the money being spent it is unacceptabl
