Very nice facilities, the management seems competent, most people seem kind, and they try hard to provide good service, but they have staffing issues as is common for AL/nursing care at this time. It is safe and clean. It "looks" nice, but there really isn't the social vibrancy we were hoping for retirees. They need better community activity management to bring more people together as a community. I think they need a better volunteer effort to help people not become isolated. It is probably the best of it's kind in Frederick, but once your loved one needs real nursing care I found this facility to very disappointing, especially during the night shift. I am not confident that our loved one is being looked after well. Not totally their fault, given the staffing shortage, but for the $100k++ yearly I think we will look for alternative care situations.

Direction on this apartment complex was good well & fine. The exact road wasn't even listed or show. Had to drive around area for 20 looking to see how to find address & road to Park in area.

My wife Nancy and I have found Homewood at Frederick to be a welcoming, vibrant and accommodating community. Residents, administrators and staff have been outgoing and helpful. We look forward to meeting more of our neighbors and taking advantage of the activities and programs Homewood has to off

In the two years I have been here at Homewood I have come to appreciate everything that it has to offer. I was very impressed with the Benevolent Fund, Homewood takes care of its residents. The campus and buildings are very well maintained and updated. There are plenty of activities and social social events. My apartment is spacious with a beautiful view. I have told my family that I was so lucky to have found this place in which to spend my remaining years. I might add that the residents have been very friendly and helpful.

Thank you so much to Dr. Quant, nurses Jennifer and Barb, and receptionist Tracy for getting paperwork done lightning-fast on a Sunday morning! I've always had good experiences working in tandem with Homewood; I can tell the staff genuinely cares.

we have lived here for 6 years and found t wondeful.i we always get the sense that everone cares about you. references are always to the homewood family and staffseems carefully picked to be only those who love working with the elderly. facilities are excellent. we think food is an important part of the experience and here it is excellent. (they have the best crabcakes in town). because they are expanding maintenance is sometimes overworked, but when it's important they are there. we once had the hot water go out on friday night and it was fixed before noon on saturday.

This not a hotel, it's a retirement "community". There are 3 levels of care. Mist residents are living independently, there is also a small assisted living wing, and another area for terminal and seriously ill residents. It does look like a hotel, quite nice inside, but it's still an old folks home. For the price, you could check into the Ritz and order room service all day! They cater and market to "young" seniors - oh there are so many trips and games and booze. And when the time comes and you aren't able to keep up you receive so so care at 4x the price you came in on. This is suppose to be a non-profit. Ha ha. Somebody's wallowing in it.

This is the best retirement community I have ever seen. There is nothing like it near me in Georgia. I am so glad my dad lives here now - he really enjoys it too! The staff is friendly, the dining room serves great food, and the facilities are welcoming, well appointed and always lots to do. It is very comforting to me that if dad ever needs more specialized care, he doesn't have to go to another facility. If there was a Homewood near me i would sign up right now! I think as far as cost goes, THEY GET IT! Who wants to 'buy' into a retirement community when you will have to sell it to get the money back, if you even can. Renting is definitely the way to go!
