I was there for transitional care after 2 months in the hospital for heart surgery. They had great staff and were very nice to my family when they visited. I liked the many food options and choices. Lots of activities and the PT and OT people were very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

The 3rd floor care center was horrible to my grandmother. They treated her like a burden rather an a human being. The nurses were dismissive of her complaints and ours. The independent living and assisted living seem alright, but I would never recommend the care center for your loved ones.

Seems like a nice place but they need much better communication. I was attempting to deliver to a nurse here and the security guy had me going to 3 different floors before I was finally able to drop it off. PLEASE staff your nurses, not for me or other delivery workers, but for your patients.

Independent living at Lake Minnetonka Shores is the best! The common spaces are beautifully planned with contemporary decor. There's a theater, gym, chapel, library, store, and bistro besides the restaurant. The grounds and gardens are vast with perfectly designed landscape, plus it's on the Lake! Both staff and residents here treat you like family. Downsizing was hard, but now I feel like I live in a resort.

My mom is recovering after a hip replacement. She has been here a week. The medical staff has been wonderful. They are very attentive. The doctor and NNP reviewed her medications closely and immediately made changes to minimize her weakness. They weaned and discontinued several medications and followed up closely by monitoring her vital signs. The nursing staff and aides have been attentive, observant, and very patient with mom. They are very skilled with the rehab population. We have received wonderful support from the Occupational , Physical, and Speech Therapists. They are highly skilled, and endlessly patient with my mom, who is not always very easy to handle. Both nursing and therapy staff noticed potential problems and had them evaluated. Happily everything was fine but I appreciate their vigilance. The rooms aren't updated and beautiful but they are comfortable and clean. The wonderful staff is more important to me than the color scheme. Mom loved the Chapel service on Sunday . I'm an RN and I highly recommend Lake Minnetonka Shores ! ( I am not easy to impress 🙂 )
