When I tell you that there is no better place for elderly parents to call home, I mean it. Finding Williamsburg was such a blessing to our family, my father felt dignity and independence and received so much kindness from the staff at Williamsburg in his final years. There is a peaceful feeling you get when you walk in, it’s so clean and organized, they hire the right people. I am eternally grateful for the care, kindness and compassion that they showed my father during the last moments of his life. I will never regret putting him in such a kind and wonderful place. They always have such fun activities, a bustling social life. And people who truly care. I could not have asked for more. (Not a paid review, just beyond just grateful for their compassion.)

In January 2026 we were looking for a place for my older sister to live. She had real struggles with falling and injuring herself. We considered our family lucky to have found Williamsburg. My sister has felt very welcome there. She has felt secure with people around her, yet still feeling Independent. Chris was a real help in making things work out, and making her space feel like home.

Mom and I had been looking for somewhere for her to move to. We had looked at quite a few communities and then we found Williamsburg. She loved it immediately and so did I. It felt like home right away. Chris, Jessica, Ashley and all the others are so caring and kind. Het apartment is just perfect and now that she's been there for a few months, I can't imagine her being anywhere else. I love going to the dining room with her when I'm there and I've even attended some of the fun activities. Williamsburg is home for her, and i couldn't be happier!

My father was here for about 3 years. He made many friends and enjoyed being there. The staff is very friendly and supportive. I’m thankful for everything they did for my dad.

As a hospice chaplain, I visit a man in Williamsburg Retirement Community who has severe medical conditions, including kidney failure. I want to thank Samantha, Liz, Tammi, and all the staff at Williamsburg for doing all they can to help Dan and make him comfortable. A special thanks to those who fix and serve meals!

My mother spent her last years at Williamsburg. Our experience with residents and staff felt like a loving family. I started to volunteer with an activity and have continued doing that even though my mother has died. I enjoy the feeling of community and family, as that is what Williamsburg is all about.

Our family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at Williamsburg Retirement Center for their compassionate and attentive care they gave to our father during the last 3 months of his life. Williamsburg truly became a blessing for our father. The residents and staff were his best friends while he was there. Everyone was so kind and welcoming they made him feel like he was family. The staff lovingly created special personal moments just for him. Dad referred to Williamsburg as his home. Our family was always greeted with kindness and love each time, we showed up to visit our father. The staff went beyond our expectations to make sure we had everything we needed. They always kept us informed and updated on his care. We would highly recommend Williamsburg to anyone looking for an assisted living facility.

May 2023
That dreadful time came when we had to move our parents out of their home and into a place that would be both closer to their children, and in a safer environment. The Williamsburg retirement community was highly recommended to us, so we went to check it out. We were warmly welcomed by the staff upon arrival. Dan, the executive director, was extremely professional, informative & helpful in explaining all our options and the process. He personally gave us a tour of the community and was able to accommodate our fast moving situation which brought us great relief. This place has been a godsend to us! This community provides all of my parents needs as well as the activities they enjoy. It’s independent living with all the amenities of a cruise ship! Three delicious meals served to you down in the dining room, an itinerary providing multiple activities each day, field trips, shuttle service, housekeeping, the list goes on.The staff is very kind, loving and PATIENT. They are always displaying a very positive upbeat attitude. It’s nice to know my parents are safe and in a place where they are genuinely cared about. The location is great, conveniently located within blocks to everything they could need or want. This gives them the measure of independence they can still enjoy. I highly recommend this place to anyone searching for a retirement community to call home.
December 2022
Helping your loved ones make the decision to move out of their home and into independent living is never easy. We had heard many positive things about Williamsburg, so that is where we started our quest and never had to look any further. The location is perfect for Mom who likes to walk and take the bus places. During the initiation process we were able to take a tour and look at different rooms and options with no pressure. I am impressed with the caring atmosphere and have witnessed pleasant interactions between residents, staff, families, and management. Once the move was made there were a few modifications that needed to be made to the apartment and they were done quickly and efficiently. I am grateful to the management of Williamsburg for making this transition as smooth as possible. The best part of all, is that my mother loves it at Williamsburg! My mother has now been at Williamsburg for a year and she has made so many friends. I am amazed at how attentive the staff is. We feel so blessed as a family to have Mom in such a wonderful environment.
December 2022
Williamsburg is a home away from home. It's just a big family. The food is delicious, the staff genuinely care about each individual. The doors open to warmth and comfort.
December 2022
Every time I visit Mom at Williamsburg there are fun activities either in progress or coming up soon. My sister and I actually attended Book Club with Mom. I know Williamsburg is Independent Living, but they absolutely take amazing care of my Mom and she always tells all of her 9 living children that she loves it there!

Because of an emergency situation, my mom had to come here sight unseen after I had started to make inquiries. What a blessing that turned out to be. Sometimes you get what you pay for, but that isn't the case here. Sure, it's the most economical choice in town, but that isn't why we love it, that's just the cherry on top. The management here is amazing and so is the staff, which includes all the various team members, reception, activities, cleaning, nursing, and property management. My mom has been at various other facilities from time to time over the last decade and we found that there were inconsistencies in each, if the facilities were great, the staff weren't, or if the staff were great, the administration wasn't, etc. But here everything is wonderful, a complete balance and it feels like a dream. My mom loves it and feels like everyone really cares here, which they honestly do. In addition, the location can't be beat. It's right downtown but doesn't feel like it on a tree lined residential street. It's half a block from the library, block and a half from her banking, 2 blocks from grocery shopping, a couple blocks from downtown shopping, the farmers market, and summer events that she can take her scooter to. Her little apartment is just what she needed in size and the other residents are so friendly and inviting as well. I can't say enough good things about this place. To be honest, I have extraordinarily high standards and am pretty hard to please, most people and places fall short....this one doesn't.
June 2020
Staff are friendly. My in laws love it at the Williamsburg. All their needs are taken care of.
February 2020
This is a great place to live! My wife and I have been here about three years and we love it. The management and staff are very responsive to all our special requests, the kitchen and dining room workers are also quick to respond to our wishes. Oh, and the food is great! We eat three meals a day and it's all included in the price. The room cleaners are friendly and thorough in their work. We couldn't be happier.

I have had friends and acquaintances at Williamsburg as well as clients with my profession as a social worker. I am impressed with the way they consider the needs of each individual and work hard to provide the care needed, as well as collaborating with family and paid caregivers. The facility is always clean and smells nice. It has a great homey feel and friendly, caring atmosphere because the staff truly do care about each resident. It’s also the one place an older adult can live in a caring, safe environment with help available when needed, plus meals served in a dining room and still have a kitchen of their own to cook in if they choose. Great facility!!
January 2019
Williamsburg is a wonderful facility. Whenever we visit it always feels welcoming, clean, and homey! We have participated in several events and love interacting with the friendly staff and residents! Would happily recommend to anyone!
January 2019
Williamsburg is wonderful! Two years ago I lived there for several months while my new home was being built. It was a positive experience in every way. I chose a 1-bedroom unit and had plenty of space for almost all I wanted to do, even in my motorized wheelchair -- I could relax, entertain visitors, prepare snacks, etc ... But I seldom needed the kitchenette because I ate 2 meals/day in the dining room. Food was excellent ... nice variety, serving size options, and tasty, nutritious menus. They offered many programs for socializing; I could have attended something every day if I chose to. I particularly enjoyed classes taught by USU faculty and students. Other residents were delightful and quickly became friends. I decided to sit at a different table each meal, so easily became acquainted with many people. The church services were lovely; again a great way to get to know others. The only problem was the fact that they have only one elevator and it is very small. At times we had to wait quite awhile before reaching the floor we wanted; it could become a serious safety issue in an emergency evacuation situation. Another potential challenge , especially when staying there long-term, is the fact that the bathrooms inside the 1-bedroom unit were not fully wheelchair accessible ... they were small and it would have been good to have a roll-in shower Staff is superb ... always friendly and eager to help in any way needed. They even scraped snow off my van when I needed to go out. The housekeeping folks were efficient and always went the extra mile. Although the facilities aren't as posh and elegant as other options in Logan, they were clean and comfortable, and very pleasant. I strongly recommend Williamsburg for you or your loved one. I've told my family many times that if I reach the point physically where I can no longer live on my own, Williamsburg will be my first choice!
January 2019
My mom loves living here and the staff is so friendly. Chris is awesome and truly cares about the people living there.
January 2019
Williamsburg is a gem. I first became familiar with the facility and staff a few years ago when working with USU students to present a Wellness Program for the Williamsburg residents. I saw so much love and caring there that I encouraged my mom to move in when she had some health issues. Although that didn't work out, I want to applaud Dan and Chris for their kind, professional, fair, and very responsive efforts to help with the situation. They work hard to keep people of all ages and walks of life happy and nurtured--body, mind, and spirit.
January 2019
I have enjoyed life here! It is so nice not to have to worry about meals and other things. There are wonderful activities and the opportunity to make good friends. The staff is very nice.
January 2019
Amazing residents and awesome staff! Everyone is so kind and welcoming! They are willing to work with specific needs to accommodate everyone.
January 2019
My sister has been living in Williamsburg for a year now and it was the best decision we could have made . The staff there has welcomed her and become a lifeline of support and love even beyond our expectations. Dan and Chris truly care about the needs and health of each of the people who live there. Williamsburg is an assisted living center that has taken my sister in as a member of their extended family. The other residents are friendly and polite and that along with a good balanced diet has greatly improved her health, both physically and mentally.
January 2019
My mother lives their and I'm confident she is well cared for. The management quickly notifies me if there is anything amiss. The food is very good. The bus is new and looks great! And my mother can go on center sponsored overnight trips to places she has never been. The last trip was Arches National Park. She had a wonderful time! It really is a place you feel comfortable having your family stay.
January 2019
The activities and services are great but what sets Williamsburg apart is the amazing caring staff. Since the day Mom moved here the staff and residents have treated us all like family. This was definitely the right move.
January 2019
I love the homey feeling there is at Williamsburg and all the sweet workers and residents. It is such a great atmosphere!
January 2019
Williamsburg is a lovely and warm facility with kind residents and caring employees. I have enjoyed my visits very much.
January 2019
I have visited Williamsburg a few times and have felt very at home while there. Everyone is very kind and all have a story to tell.
January 2019
When I visit Williamsburg, I'm always impressed with the warm, cheerful, clean atmosphere. It feels like a home, not sterile. The staff are positive and genuinely care about the residents. I've been to a few activities they've put on, and I'm amazed at the creativity and effort they put into enriching residents' lives. I would definitely recommend it.
January 2019
The staff at Williamsburg is so caring and concerned about their residence. My mind is at ease knowing the high quality care my loved one is receiving. Thank you Williamsburg!
December 2018

October 2018
Thank you for easing my worries with moving my mom. For answering all my questions, and making her comfortable. I'm looking forward to spending time there with her.
May 2018
Our mother has lived at Williamsburg for 5 years now and even after 5 years, we regularly marvel at the great care and consideration she receives by the staff at Williamsburg on a continual basis. Many have commented on the food, and for good reason. The meals are well balanced, and for the most part, they are made from scratch. Williamsburg does not serve a heavy pasta diet in order to keep costs down, as some institutions do. Breakfasts are healthy, cooked meals with a variety of choices. The main meal is served mid-day with delicious fresh homemade bread. Sunday dinners are true Sunday dinners of times past. I have enjoyed their Sunday Turkey dinner and their Roast beef dinner and am so grateful that there is not a hint of institutionalized food in my mother’s life. And sprinkled among all their well balanced, good-for-you meals are the occasional fun meals with a flair including hot dogs with all the fixings and chips with red checkered picnic napkins All the residents receive a calendar of meal menus at the beginning of each month, so they can look forward to what is being served each day. Before our mother moved in to Williamsburg, we had heard from friends who had family members living there, that the activities were such a nice part of Williamsburg life. And we have come to find that this is indeed an important benefit of this retirement community. Activities range from simple, to adventurous, and all are enjoyable, from Bingo games, Pet Night, and the weekly Friday morning drive through the Valley to canoeing and a Bar-B-Q at Benson Marina, bicycling events, trips up Logan Canyon for a picnic, trips to the Layton Aquarium, picnic days on Antelope Island, periodic movie dates, periodic restaurant trips and the list goes on. A couple of years ago, my mother told the person in charge of activities that she had always had a dream of riding an elephant. She was told, I think we can make that happen. And before long, I received a photo attached to my email, of my 89 year young mother riding an elephant! My mother has always been an outdoors girl and she loves being in the beautiful, large tree-filled back yard that is well kept and always inviting. As great as all these benefits are, our greatest appreciation is for the continual kindness and care of the Williamsburg staff for all those who live there. As the years have passed, my mother has grown from 86 to 91 years old. She is not as physically capable as she was when she moved in, but she is still included in every activity in the manner that she can participate. And her voice so often rings happy and grateful when she tells me of what she has done during the day and how wonderful the people at Williamsburg are to her. My brothers and I often comment to each other that Williamsburg is truly ONE OF A KIND. I have requested the opportunity to share my appreciation for Williamsburg, as I know how difficult it can be to find a place that will give the kind of care we hope to find for our loved ones. People need to know about this wonderful place.
July 2017
The staff is friendly and willing to go the extra mile to help anyone. There is good homemade food at each meal. There are fun daily activities planned and bigger monthly community activities as well. The building is well kept and clean.

Williamsburg is the most wonderful place ever! It feels like home right as you walk in the door and the food is the best. Terry bakes fresh every single day. This is the place to be!!
October 2015
My grandmother lived here along with many people she had known in her hometown of Millville when they were younger. She was always very happy and well taken care of. Williamsburg became her home, and her apartment had a kitchen that allowed her to continue baking pies for her friends and neighbors and anyone new to the building. She loved going on trips in the bus to Antelope Island, the Living Planet Aquarium, Soda Springs, or just for a ride around the valley to see the sights. She was quite capable of getting around on her own with a walker to keep her steady, but she couldn't drive anymore. Williamsburg helped her maintain that level of independence until she could no longer take care of herself and needed full-time looking after. She never had to look far for things to do. If there was an activity going on, she'd enjoy games, treats, prizes or learning about something new and making new friends. If there wasn't anything going on, she enjoyed sitting with her friends and socializing, or if she wanted some personal time, there was the privacy of her apartment where she could watch the birds come pick seeds from the feeder on her balcony and she could maintain her own hobbies too like crocheting, listening to audio books, watching tv and of course baking. There have been many updates done recently to the building. I still drop by from time to time to visit some of her friends and neighbors. And the place looks great. It's the only place around that I've been to that really feels like Grandma's House, and not like a hospital or a hotel. The staff are attentive and friendly and eager to help out when there is a problem. Williamsburg gets a full 5 stars from me!
August 2015
When it comes to activities we give Williamsburg a 5 star, an A+. The activities director, Rachael, has to be at the top of the list. We are spellbound with how she runs the program and what she comes up with. We also would rate Williamsburg a 5 star when it come to the staff and their interaction with the residents and their families. They are friendly and helpful. They also have a great cook and everything is homemade. Their rolls are delicious and they have a good variety. Our mother has been there for three years now . There is a feeling of "home" in Williamsburg. It is very comfortable there.
August 2015
Our wonderful Mom has been living here for 10 months. We appreciate the loving care that they give her. I have visited her during numerous mealtimes and tasted the yummy food. They keep her apartment nice and clean, and they do all this with a smile. Whenever I visit, the staff always asks me if there is anything they can do to make my Mom's life more comfortable and enjoyable. I love the homey feel when I walk in the door. It's a blessing to have my Mom in such a caring place. Thank you Williamsburg!

Once upon a time, there lived a whole bunch of amazing Grandfriends. The Grandfriends all lived together in a place called Williamsburg Retirement Community. They were all different. Some were younger, and others were almost 100 years old! Some could get around a little better than others, but with the help of the people that loved and cared for them there, they could get to anyplace they needed or wanted to go. In the their kitchen, the amazing cooks would make yummy foods for them to enjoy! Since they loved the Grandfriends so much, everything was made from scratch! Delicious breads, desserts, and treats were made fresh everyday! The Grandfriends loved to play, and go places on adventures! They would go canoeing, adaptive cycling, and on picnics in the summertime. They celebrated every holiday, and loved to learn all about far away places, and all about the Earth. There was always something new and exciting to do! There were always people there to give comfort, and help them with things that were a little too hard sometimes. Everyone helped the Grandfriends and loved them very much. Every person that came to Williamsburg became part of the Williamsburg Family, Whether it was family, friends, Grandfriends, helpers, caregivers, or just someone stopping by, everyone was loved! People that came could feel that love, and they too passed it to the people they cared about. The awesome people in charge cared about each Grandfriend, making sure their needs were met and they were happy too. Whether it is people who clean, cook, wash dishes, answer phones, give rides, showers, or medication everyone loved being with the Grandfriends! Truly they all live happily each day, doing new things, making new goals, and living each moment! The End? Never! Williamsburg is an amazing place and it really feels like a fairy tale. Together everyone creates an atmosphere of love, understanding and care! Come visit sometime, and see for yourself, it's not a fairy tale, but our happy life 🙂
