We had visited many other retirement homes, The Village at Northridge was by far the most professional and accommodating. My handicapped Mother was at another facility, and needed to move as they didn't offer enough support, even though they claimed to have assisted-living. Our first contact was the Director of Sales, Maridy, she made it possible to visit on same day we called. She was not only accessible, but,she also takes great pride in her community, both the residents and the people who work there. It was reflected in her enthusiasm and her attention to our needs. Next we met with the Director of Assisted Living, Mary Rose, to do Mom's evaluation. Again, we were impressed by her professionalism, patience and her compassion. After that meeting, Tom Rekowski, the Executive Director, joined us to go over the paperwork. Wow! At the other facility, there was zero interaction with the head of management. Tom was also very attentive and informative. Mom was able to get a beautiful apartment with a balcony. She was thrilled to get fresh air. She is also very happy with the food and the activities. Lastly, I have to give a big shoutout to their Sales Coordinator, Lexie, went above and beyond to help. From the moment we signed the contract, she was on top of everything we needed. From facilitating a handyman to do some work before Mom moved in, to being present during Mom's move-in, which was her day off. She was always available through text and always with a quick reply. Overall, we feel so blessed to have found The Village at Northridge, they are definitely a five star community.

I cannot tell you how happy we are with the Village at Northridge. I went on two tours with the fabulous Erica Rivera who gave us so much time and attention. Erica had me at hello. This woman is incredible. She is extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly, not to mention she has amazing communication skills and answers calls and texts immediately. I went to many Senior Living communities to find a place for a family member and after going to five communities we decided on the Village at Northridge. This place is perfect. It is large and spacious with beautiful amenities. They also have the "Largest" apartments. My family member found the most beautiful apartment with a gorgeous view of the courtyard and pool. Erica worked closely with us to make sure this incredible apartment was ours. I am so happy to have found a clean, modern, and happy place for my family member to live out their final years. I cannot recommend this Senior Community enough. Erica thank you again for all of your help. We look forward to getting to know the other wonderful staff members at the Village at Northridge very soon. PART 2 I am back with a second review. My family member moved into the Village at Northridge a week ago and is having the best time. The staff are very warm and welcoming. He is enjoying the beautiful dining room and delicious food and fun activities, not to mention the ability to watch the opera and listen to live music multiple times per week. This second part of my review is to acknowledge Lexie Gonzalez who assisted my family member with moving in and has been there every step of the way this past week to get him settled in. Lexie is so kind and patient. She is beyond helpful and very quick to answer questions, respond to requests etc. Lexie greeted my family member on move in day and left a number of wonderful surprises. I won't ruin the surprises in case a person reading this becomes a resident. We are so grateful to Lexie for making this transition so easy. She is an asset to the Village of Northridge. We love her!! Lastly, I have to tell you that each time I walk into this community my heart smiles. It really is a lovely, happy place and the residents are fabulous as well.

I am moving from Jacksonville, Florida to The Village at Northridge in on month. I love the apartment so much that I paid for two months in order to keep the apartment before I arrive. My daughter carefully checked out 5 independent living facilities, and fell in love with The Village at Northridge and particularly this apartment. I am eager to make the transition from my home in Jacksonville to this lovely facility.. I was impressed by everything I saw including the meal I enjoyed there. I believe that the many programs it offers, the ambience, and everything about it will provide a lovely living environment for me during the twilight years of my life. Rabbi Robert Goodman

Was nice tour & information. Finally found a retirement facility that has a pool & a gym. Many classes offered during the week & there is transportation to dr & hospital appointments. Employees seemed happy with working there & their benefit package. I would have welcomed the opportunity to have had lunch with a few residents tin order to have gotten a better insight into daily living experiences. The monthly rent is not for the faint of heart, but the amenities are there. For senior independent living there are a studio & one bedroom I toured. Bringing in your own furniture would make the units homelike. Cleaning & laundry services are included as well as 2 meals a day. One of which is the complementary breakfast. The kitchen is open for any snacks or light fair during the day. The one bedroom comes with a full size refrigerator, stove, oven & microwave. The studio has a kitchenette & an "office" size fridge. All residents I spoke with are happy & pleased with the services provided & treatment received. Staff is licensed & bonded which is a must these days. No separate charge for underground garage. Elevators are nearby to all residences. Visitors are able to walk thru front doors & then sign the logbook to ensure their visit is valid. Passive security provided. Fire sprinklers & sensors installed. The Village is "locked down" to walk in traffic at 7pm. A pass key and/or identification is needed for after hours entry. This Village is located in Northridge, CA 91324. It is close to markets, restaurants, entertainment & religious services.

I had a lovely time with Erica Rivera. She showed much interest in me and my current life and future plans and is very warm and fun to talk with. She showed me several apartments and gave me all the details and answered all my question. I thought there was to be a concert but instead there was a Happy Hour so we had snacks. Then, because we were done touring rather early, we had an early dinner. In all, it was a delightful visit.

The staff at the Village are simply amazing. They go above and beyond to care for their residents. An example of their care occurred tonight. My mom's TV was not working and usually she sits out in the living room watching TV until 11:30pm. So my habit is to call her at night after dinner. I called 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm with no answer. I came over and rang the door bell over and over. I called again. Finally, I had to get the receptionist to leave her post to come open the door. She literally ran for us. It turns out my mom was in bed watching TV and there is no phone in the back. She could not hear any of the calls or door bell rings. At least she was safe. Thank you for going above and beyond for us. Your staff is amazing.

My beloved aunt lived here following a significant stroke. The care and support she received as she moved in to the village was extraordinary. She had a new lease on life with wonderful caregivers, new friends and fun and meaningful activities. She improved in both physical and psychological ways I wasn't sure were possible! When she eventually passed, the community there surrounded me with love and support like family. I will always be grateful for this place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for assisted living.

We lost our dad in July of 2022, leaving my Mom to sell her house (it took almost one year) and find a suitable independent living community for her to be safe and happy in. The Village at Northridge (Maridy and Lexie, especially) worked with us for one solid year to help us get Mom into Northridge. Their patience, kindness, and help will always stay with me. The process of selling and moving, especially after losing her husband of 73 years, was so difficult to navigate. But the people at Northridge worked with us, and kept reassuring us that Mom would be happy and welcomed at the Village. Well, here we are one year later, and Mom has been at the Village at Northridge for one week. She LOVES it! The food (she is very picky and accustomed to gourmet food having moved from the west side of LA) is fantastic, the people are warm and welcoming, and her apartment is adorable! She is really settling in, and is very happy! I haven't seen my Mom "happy" in over one year, and so I can't really put into words how much this means to me and my siblings. My Mom is safe, happy, working out in the gym daily, calls me up to tell me all the activities that are scheduled for the day, and is genuinely enjoying herself. After what we have been through, this is more than a blessing. Thank you to The Village at Northridge for helping us navigate this difficult time, and ensuring my Mom is more than okay-----> she is thriving! Such Blessings. Thank you.

Met with Barbie this morning for a tour to see if this is where my mom should live. She was so kind and shared alot of info in ways that were easy to understand. I saw a lovely place full of active seniors who were all very happy. There are so many options for every lifestyle from Independant to assisted. All the people who work here seemed happy to be here. There are so many activities and choices that you can go from sun up to sundown ! I'm happy my mom is choosing to be here.

Maridy is an incredible person to work with. From the first minute I walked in I felt everyone was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The facility has everything a senior could even think of for this chapter in their lives. The support and follow up was warm and genuine. Unfortunately my parents opted to stay in their home for now. I don't write online reviews, but I'm making a notable exception for the wonderful staff and facilities at The Village at NorthRidge. My mother moved into the residence about nine months ago from another city, and I live out of the country, so we needed a great deal of support and understanding, which everyone at the Village delivered in a big way. From Mary Rose, who heads up all care and takes every one of my calls (even on her day off), to my mom's caregiver, Diana, to the nursing crew led by Sunita, to my mom's sweet nurse, Stella, and all of the rest of the caring crew they are all first-rate in every sense of the word. And most of all, they truly care about the residents' well-being, which means everything to me and my family when we're so far away. I could go on and on about how many times Mary Rose and her folks have gone way beyond the call of duty to ease our concerns, and show my mom love and attention when she needed it most. The last few years have been so difficult on all of us, but none more so than seniors living in residences, who have borne a disproportionate burden of the pandemic. I can't imagine a better group than the crew at NorthRidge to help guide us and our loved ones living at the residence through these tough times, which are hopefully coming to an end. I humbly offer my sincerest thanks to everyone at the Village for the kindness and care you've showered on my mother, and unreservedly recommend The Village at NorthRidge to anyone looking for a beautiful, safe, and activity-filled home for this latest chapter of their lives.

I have been living at the Village for almost two years, I have found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and anxious to please, The Zest team which is responsible for activities and trips works hard at planning activities the residents enjoy. For example, yesterday we had a casino night. There was a special buffet and gambling table games which everybody enjoyed. The food has recently improved greatly due to a recent change in the Chef. Everyone is happy with the new meal choices. My favorite employees are Eddie Martinez and Jenny Palotti from the Zest team, I have called upon them numerous times for help with my computer and printer and TV set. They have been able to fix any problem! The environment inside and outside is always clean and attractive, I certainly would recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and happy retirement community .

The Village at Northridge is tops. It has great ambiance and there is none other like it. The girls at the front desk are very receptive, polite and cooperative. The Activities team has a group of unusually talented and well trained individuals under the Director Tristan who knows how to delegate responsibilities and make personnel happy within all of their duties. He is extremely well-versed and should be responsible for the entire operation at the Village. Along with Eddie and Jenny, they make a great team. I was in recovery from a major injury and the only thing that I regret was not finding this place sooner. I would absolutely recommend The Village to anybody that is looking.

I recently visited my aunt at The Village of Northridge. WOW!!! The Staff were friendly, warm, and very welcoming. My Aunt want to introduce me to everyone who works there. The activities available here are endless, there is something for everyone to do. The lunch menu and choices were like amazing, and the food didn't disappointment. Based on my aunt's experience, I would recommend this senior community to anyone looking for a home for their loved ones.

One of the key reasons of making the stay at the Village so thoroughly enjoyable is the opportunity to participate in the many provided activities. An important element is the outstanding staff. A key member is Jenny who demonstrates impeccable caring and total support to the numerous activities provided to us. She is the 'Go to' person for solving the many problems of our constituents associated with computers, I phones , I pads and Kindles. Always with a huge smile she demonstrates managerial capability by being ahead of the curve when providing backup to other staff members. In a perfect description, she is irreplaceable.

I was looking for the best place for my 90+ year old parents to be looked after and give me peace of mind especially since I lived over an hour away. After searching at least a half a dozen places, The Village was a stand out facility. They have everything anyone could want with food, entertainment and of course great elder care. My folks were in the assisted living area, their needs were very well attended to. They had a call button on a necklace The Village provided and probably 90% of the time someone came within 10-15 minutes of them pressing it. And they pressed it ALOT! They also made sure they were eating well, bathed and dressed each day. Diana, one of the LVN's was great helping with direct medical care and on occasion even picked up my moms meds at the pharmacy for us on her way home. Who does that anymore?? Mary Rose runs a tight ship with the nurses and caregivers and ALWAYS answered her emails personally. This was extremely valuable as she informed me of any change in status of my folks and applied her experience very well determining when and/or if a hospital trip was necessary instead of being spring loaded to send them to the emergency room at the slightest ailment. The Village uses Bridges Hospice care. This is another top notch enterprise. My Dad started failing shortly after he arrived there and both The Village and Bridges teamed up and took care of everything. They got a special bed, oxygen, meds... you name it to them without me having to do a thing. They notified me when the time was getting close so I could coordinate the rest of my family to be with him before he finally passed. You can't put a price on that kind of compassion. If you want to be rest assured your loved one(s) will be cared for the way you would want to be cared for The Village will live up to those expectations.

Beautiful apartments and our tour guide Cherisse was amazing. The only reason I gave it a 2 star is their marketing/advertising. I went to go lease the apartment I toured a couple days later (which was showing on the site) and it wouldn't let me choose unit # / floor plan. The next day I called they told me it was leased already. I went back and saw that it was STILL showing on the site for the entire rest of the day. So that was 2 days not 1 day that it was showing on there and supposedly leased. My apartment locator reaches out to me the next day to say there is one in my price range and bigger square foot for 2/1 that is now showing available (which wasn't showing yesterday) Of course I am interested so I ask her to set up a tour. She calls in and finds out even though that one is on the site it also has been leased. I am not sure how that is possible when it wasn't showing on the site the day before and highly doubt someone saw it on the site , came in within an hour and leased immediately. I wish once an apartment has been leased they remove from their site. It's a click of a button and without doing so I feel it's false advertising which I don't appreciate.

I visited The Village ay NorthRidge in April 2019. This four-story building is for the elderly people starting at the age of 55. It has a history of 10 years. There are 275 (one or two bedrooms) rooms from which 84 rooms are designed for assisting living. The monthly rental fee includes: the room cleaning once a week, including bed(s); two meals a day (most tenants choose breakfast and dinner); water & power; a heated swim pool and spa access; Gym access; and cable TV., including daily activities. Pay $13.95 per person for lunch - see the lunch menu. I enjoyed a tasting soup and tender fish as well as a good taste coffee. Dinner starts at 5 p.m., including a complimentary cocktail per person. The rental is based on month by month. A two-month notification is required for ending the rental agreement. There are 102 full-time staff working in the facility that is the largest senior living facility in California.
