Rocky Creek is a great place to live. I live on a side street so there is no traffic and it is quiet and peaceful. The mature landscaping is beautiful. Maintenance is on top of everything. Every time I have a situation requiring immediate attention, I simply email the office and place a phone call. My needs are met immediately and I couldn’t be happier about that. I recommend Rocky Creek Village if you are looking for nice neighbors and a nice place to live.

I have been living here for a year, and I absolutely love this place. Angelica is always kind, responsive, and quick to help whenever any issues come up, making everything so much easier. With how expensive rent has become these days, I really appreciate that my rent includes electricity, so I only have one bill to pay each month. It makes budgeting much simpler. I highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a great place to live.

10/30/24 I must comment on the somewhat unusual 5 star new rating from a Mr Ruiz who states he lived here 14 yrs ago after a liver transplant? What does that have to do with the current poor conditions? Seems just like a review ratings boost. 8/2024 ALL I CAN SAY, Is I hope that ROCKY CREEK does not have the audacity to raise our rents AGAIN at a high profit for them in 2025. We are NOT getting the service or amenities that warrant even what we are paying now much less to ask to pay more than the "normal" average "$40-50 increase annually. It's called RENTERS price gouging. Most of us here would probably agree that we are on fixed or lower incomes and to continually increase us from the poor living conditions is unethical & unconscionable. 01-2024 So, a lot of us recieved $150 increase this year after $125 last year for a 429 sq ft space. We all realize the economy is HIGH, but you DON'T just raise increases like this on fixed income/disabled/veterans who have lived here for years. Is there is such a decency called "compassion". The funny thing is also some of the section 9 apts I've seen bear this 10 times over. And let's not forget, OH the great parking dilemma. It's actually provoked neighbors to turn on each other. And last thing may I add, you don't dare cross paths with the bulldog, watchdog Facilities chick. She loves to and seems to enjoy screaming, demeaning and cursing. May God forgive such a vile way to treat the very ones helping to pay your salary! Most mobile Homes are old, in disrepair with patch over patch jobs. They continually exchange out parts from one unit to the next rather than buying new. The maintainence guys do their best however, most speak Spanish ONLY. It's very hard to communicate what needs to be done once they arrive to your place. Also, even if your extremely clean you're in duplex/triplexes the roaches and ants crawl through and are disgusting. I had one crawl on me when I was sleeping. They are finally cracking down on teens loafing off their family members here. They are unconcerned and obnoxious and take up what limited parking we have! Although, all rents are high in Tampa, you will pay $1k for a 25y/o 429 sq ft mobile unit.? You don't even wish to speak to the main office, the agents are cocky and have disrespectful attitudes towards these poor elderly individuals. They took down their website, you cant even go on it. Apartments.com provides all the info.There's been recent changes in upper management, let's see if it improves.

Today is Sept 8,2023... I was moved by The Lord to delete a negative comment I wrote yesterday after having had a disagreement with an Administrator. The Word shows me, "Seek that no one repays wrong for wrong to anyone, but always seek to do good to one another." 1st Thessalonians 5:15. Not everyone is the same! Thank You Lord for Your Holy Spirit! I'd hate to see this place close down. I still don't recommend it for now. I'll turn it into a Margaritaville ™

Since moving into independent living apt.. The complex has canceled most helpful amenities, such as: independent living Apts. NO cleaning service. Canceled laundry service No small grocery store No dining room No gathering entertainment room But the rent increases.

My Mom lived out the last 5+ years of her life at Rocky Creek Village. We'd have to say they ended up being her best years! At RC they treated her like family, were respectful of her decisions and wishes while still being so very helpful. She loved the co-residents and the staff. She thrived socially, physically, spiritually and emotionally here. Even during the pandemic, with precautions in place, she always felt safe and attended to. We are so thankful that our mother had a "home" at Rocky Creek Village.

From Riches to Rags! I have lived here for 16 years... This place was a Little Paradise! Unfortunately not anymore! I have faith it will be a Gold Star Rated Senior Living Place again! At least so far it's a safe place!™ 1/15/2020 Thank God, little by little I'm seeing changes for the better... 5 for Sarah the Secretary she is Top Notch!

Nice place just no security in the day weird shady people walk in and out all day and at night security doesn't check walk in's either. That is my main concern. Pool is supposed to be heated but always cold, and you have to pay to use it!! COLD!! Also way to many "Click's" in here and nosey biddies. Best to just say "Hi" & "Bye and stay too your self. Fairly safe if you mind your own business. And hope others do as well. Overall it is a very, very nice place to live and all the staff try to do all they can for you. People have to let them know what they need and the staff really Does get it done. Would recommend this place. Well have to give credit where it's due. Alot of improvements, two laundry rooms again, dock redone, security is still a joke, unless you don't mind the guards hitting on your better half. Every "Unit" East of Shell Dr. is still treated and looks low income. Thanks. Now that I moved out of there I feel I can really give you a FAIR REVIEW. I would and do recommend this place. Safe and very affordable. Your loved ones would be happy here and so would you. Thanks Rocky Creek for a nice 3 year stay. The staff is very attentive and ALWAYS HELPFUL. Thanks again. Mr. Ware.

Iris in the Admission office was extremely helpful and professional in locating a perfect apartment for me in Rocky Creek Village.The apartment was in excellent condition ready to move in.The approval process was quick & efficient. Thank you Iris.

I came to see the community for my Mother, The first thing i notice was Security they were very friendly, they directed me to the Admission Office and i have to say the lady in there was very nice took us around the part and showed us different options , my mother was approved in 48 hours and moved in this past week, the process was very easy and fast they explain all the paper work and answer any questions we might had i recommend this place to any senior looking for Assistant Living & Independent Living.

Termite infested trailers, at night they land all over you. You have to constantly wipe and sweep the wings off everything. I know someone who wanted to switch trailers because there were so many termites. They were told they could but would not be allowed to take their furniture with them. The yards are mostly dirt not sod like in the photo lol. If you make complaints they threaten to evict you. You have to pay to use the pool and they charge for the free shuttle to go shopping. There's a maintenance man who constantly asks my mother in law for "his Christmas bonus early."In the assisted living building they put 2 or 3 people in one room and charge $1,500 a month. They have the seniors doing jobs in the community for free. They play penny bingo and you only win a penny. I went to another kind of bingo there and the caller said we only have 8 Rockey Creek dollars to give away then we're playing for fun. After calling 2 cards they were playing for free lol. The place is full of feral cats and ducks. If you want to have a guest stay over you have to get permission and they charge you. We got permission and paid to stay at my mother-in-law's and they gave her a notice threatening to evict her and that we were not welcome in RCV any more. I went to the office they said they didn't know anything about the notice to talk to the business office. Went to business office they weren't aware either. So I went to owners son who signed the notice. He said he knew nothing about it. I said you signed it and he said they put papers in front of me and I just sign them.

It's a safe and pleasant place. When I arrived from Cuba I said, "This is paradise." After a month it was no longer paradise. Now I don't know how to describe it, although it's still a safe and pleasant place.
