My aunt has been at Mountain View for about six months now. She loves the social activities they organize events, outings to nearby restaurants and shopping centers, and even spiritual programming. The beauty parlor on-site is a small thing but it makes her feel like herself, which matters more than people realize. She has free WiFi, cable, and streaming in her room so she watches her shows in the evenings. The food from the grill menu is her favorite. Only giving four stars because the parking lot can get a little tight during busy visiting hours, but that’s honestly a minor complaint. The staff in Westmoreland County couldn’t be friendlier. She’s happy there and that’s what counts.

What sold us on Mountain View was the in-house therapy gym and the fact that they arrange physician visits, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and even podiatry right on-site. My dad had a fall before moving in and needed ongoing PT. Not having to transport him to appointments across Greensburg has been a huge relief. The case manager coordinates everything so we don’t have to chase down different providers. They also accommodate his special diet for his heart condition, which the previous place we looked at couldn’t do. The 24-hour care and emergency call system give us confidence that someone is always there if something happens. Really grateful we found this place.

We moved my mother into Mountain View’s senior living community on Nature Park Road about four months ago and it’s been a really positive experience. The staff greets her by name every morning and genuinely seems to care about her day. Her room is private with its own bathroom and individual temperature control, which matters a lot because she’s always cold. The meals are prepared under a dietician and she’s actually gained back some weight she’d lost living alone. They handle her medication management and housekeeping so she can just focus on enjoying herself. The courtyard is lovely and she sits out there most afternoons. Greensburg was a good choice for us.

My mother spent 12 days at Mountain View Senior Living Center prior to kidney stone surgery and received outstanding care and attention. Everyone on the staff from nurses to food service were kind and friendly and provided excellent care. The facility was very clean and was recently remodeled. I can't speak highly enough about the administrator we dealt with Amy Light-Ahlborn. Her professionalism and efficiency in addressing any of my mother's needs or concerns, both medically and personally was above and beyond what was required. Thank you Mountain View Senior Living for taking care of my mother.

My experience with this facility was absolutely top tier. When you are trying to find an assisted living for a loved one the customer service you receive is highly important. Tiereny, the community sales director, was incredibly knowledgeable, but most importantly, she was patient, compassionate and kind. If you are looking for a facility, I highly recommend that you start here.

My 91 year old father was a resident at Mountain View for 6 months. He quickly acclimated to the surroundings mainly due to the caring staff, especially Lizzy and Ashley on the third floor. It definitely felt like a family environment where everyone not only knew his name but took time to learn about his interests and family.

My dad was on the 3rd floor at Mountain View. Lizzy and Ashley were amazing with dad. All the staff was great. Dad was very sad when he had to move out because he had to have IV therapy. If you mentioned the girls names he smiled. I am thankful to you whole stall from the administration to the housekeeping for all there kindness

My grandpa is currently staying here. The facility is clean and very nice. He says the food is really good and overall seems happy here. My biggest complaint is that he has lost half of his clothing since moving in. They had me separate clothing that needed to be labeled, but never labeled them. Some clothes were brand new and he never even got to wear them. Also, his glasses have been missing for two weeks and they have not been able to locate them. I understand that taking things that do not belong to you is a symptom of these diseases, but there needs to be a better system to keep track of what belongs to each resident and make sure things are labeled when they say they will be. Overall, we are happy, I just can't keep replacing his clothes. The move in process was great, we had a really long drive to nj and back to move him here. They worked with is to make sure someone was there later in case we didn't make it back in time. Tierney answered all of my questions and eased my concerns.

My Uncle moved into the facility three weeks ago and every member of the staff we have encountered have been exceptional. The administration, nursing and aids to the kitchen staff have all been wonderful. The rooms are modest but so is our family. The food is good and my uncle says they always give him more than enough. My parents were at another facility and it doesn’t even compare to Mountain View Senior Living. When I first saw Mountain View, the building was clean (and smelled clean), the staff was friendly and there was a lot of activity (which is what my father needed). I’m happy to say the place is still clean, the staff is still very nice, as well as helpful and my dad is in safe hands. And yes, the rooms are handicap accessible since most all of the residents are using a wheelchair. I can honestly recommend Mountain View Senior Living to any family that wants their loved one(s) to be in good hands!

Recently visited Mountain View Senior Living and met with the owner Michael Abittan amongst other team members. I was impressed with the facility. The facility was modern, the decor and color schemes were warm and appealing to the eye and not your traditional senior facility. As I walked through the doors, the scent in the air I was later told were essential oils used. Smelled wonderful. A wonderful facility to be considered.

We moved mom into Mountainview recently. She loved the staff. She felt like they were her little family away from home. We loved how well mom was cared for. We were kept informed of mom's progress. The administrator was on site and personally checked in on mom. While mom was there only a short time, owing to her passing, her stay there was a wonderful experience for all of us. Mountain View Senior Living has been home to our loved one for a long time. Melissa the administrator who is very kind and personable and the staff have been an absolute blessing! Not only is customer service at its best, but communication, cleanliness and a high level of service are prioritized here. The food provided is great along with variety and options for residents. Lots of entertainment and activities are offered to keep resident happy and occupied. Along with Melissa, Beth and Brenda in administration have been very accommodating and help with any concerns we may have. Amy at the front desk does an exceptional job; she is the perfect person to see as soon as you walk in because her smile lights up a room. The nurses on the second floor provide excellent care and are always kind and compassionate - to name a few Lindsey and April. Everyone we come across when we visit whether administration, nurses, caretakers, housekeeping, kitchen staff etc always greet families and create a safe haven for our mother. So thank you Mountain View for giving our mom a place she loves to call "home".

My mother spent ~4 years at Mountain View Senior Living. She received excellent care while there. She was challenged by advancing Alzheimer's, periodic UTIs, and nagging foot pain. With the assistance of Mountain View, her foot pain was virtually eliminated. She survived COVID-19 TWICE. The home did all it could to prevent a COVID-19 attack and was heartbroken when it arrived. They did a great job controlling COVID-19 and recently reopened for visitors. Sadly, she passed on Friday, March 26, 2021 from UTI complications. Mom received exemplary care while there. She often complimented the food and activities (she was an active BINGO player). When COVID restrictions were lightened, my brother was able to visit. He most often found her resting comfortably in her chair with her favorite polkas playing. Many thanks to the Mountain View Senior Living Staff for the excellent job they did.

My dad was living at Mountain View for under a year. In that short time the staff made him feel at home. Despite my father being cantankerous at times, the staff took super care to a whole new level. My father made great relationships with the staff and the others that were living there. My father enjoyed the interactions with activities and the food. I personally was able to talk to the staff to discuss care and needs of my father and actions were immediately taken as needed. Highly recommend.

I don't even know where to begin to say how wonderful Mountain View Senior Living is and how blessed I feel that my mother is in their care. My mom has lived there for nearly 12 years and that fact alone should tell you how wonderful and deeply committed their staff is in caring for their residents. MVSL had just taken over with new owners only weeks prior to the COVID-19 quarantine and without missing a beat they immediately went into protection mode to protect their residents from an outbreak. It has been a long hard 5 months but the staff has kept me informed, has sent me photos, Facetime opportunities and provided me time for window visits at my request. When I see my mom it is obvious she is being cared for by people who love her. The residents are loved and cared for like family. The staff is wonderful and compassionate, the facility is clean and lovely. I would not want my mom anywhere else but at Mountain View Senior Living.
