The nice lady at the front desk was very helpful in giving clear detailed instructions to the apt. we were looking for. The atmosphere and cleanliness of the whole place was very welcoming.

It's a fairly nice place and for the most part people are happy but they definitely do not go the extra mile. I'm there every week visiting a family member. They only clean the windows once a year and they get really gross, the stairs are almost never vacuumed, there were many lights burned out in the hallways. Also, no matter how many years someone is there, they never go through and do a deep cleaning in the apartments. (like carpet cleaning)

My Mother in Law lives here and the group brunch is always a pleasure every year. Although I have to admit that the brunch today was exceptional, 5 stars across the board. Thank you Morningstar, great food, great company !!

Morningstar is a place I wouldn't mind living in one day! I visit clients there pretty regularly, I do mobile pedicures. Whenever I'm there, the activities board looks super fun. my clients all talk about outings and events, as well as the good food. It's clean and smells nice. But more importantly , every resident I've encountered has been cheerful and happy, very friendly atmosphere!

My mother has been at Morning Star over 2 years now and is now in assisted living. She is not doing very well now but I am so grateful for Nurse Lorrinda and the staff taking such good care of her. She is given loving and kind care everyday even in these difficult times. I am so thankful for them all.

We have been highly impressed with Morningstar's service to their residents ever since my mother and sister entered the Morningstar family 2 years ago. From every department at Morningstar the resident's wishes come first. Residents are treated not only with total respect but also love that only an extended family can give. Morningstar is one of the few companies who truly live everyday by their mission statement, .........."Value all Seniors".

We can't say enough good things about MorningStar Senior Living in Boise, Idaho. They have been a godsend for our mother. Just a little background first. After Dad passed away from Alzheimer's in 2012, Mom became very lonely and depressed. She gradually began to eat and drink less, and her health was declining. We finally decided it was time for her to make a move to a senior living facility. Having been involved with a local Alzheimer's group, and being somewhat familiar with many of the facilities in the area, MorningStar was at the top of my list. Giving up one's home and admitting you need more help is a very difficult decision to make, and Mom was pretty unhappy with this process. She was certain she wasn't going to like it. I know many people have been in this situation and can relate to just how sad it can be for aging parents when they need more help. BUT, Mom has become a different person since moving to MorningStar, and we are all thrilled! She now eats three meals a day, and the food is great. She has new friends. She loves playing Bingo every day. She has happiness in her voice. She has a lovely apartment, but really doesn't spend much time there, with so much going on and things to do. Everyone at MorningStar is so friendly—both staff and other residents. One of Mom's early comments was "everyone knows my name!" The facility is very clean (with no weird smells) and nicely decorated. There are always fun celebrations and decorations for holidays and other events, and they even have Happy Hour on Friday afternoons! There is a monthly calendar as well as a daily sheet of fun excursions and events residents can sign up for. Shuttle vans are available for transportation as needed. There is a Bistro, a movie theatre—complete with popcorn, and a small gift shop. Each resident has a locked mailbox in a central location. There is a residents committee that meets regularly to discuss ideas, issues, etc. While Mom is currently in independent living, she can easily transition to assisted living should she need more personal care. So not only is Mom happier and living a better life, her family is thrilled knowing she is safe and enjoying herself. Visiting her is so much fun now.....if we can find her!

We moved our mom here from Salem, OR two years ago after it became evident she needed more care than she was getting there. The staff at MorningStar Senior Living Boise was very caring and loving. They live up to their mission statement of honoring God by valuing all seniors. We would recommend Morningstar Boise to anyone looking for a great place for the parents to live and be cared for.

Moved my mother into this wonder facility 3 months ago. Both my mother and I are so thrilled with this community. Such caring and friendly staff starting with the Community Relations person giving invaluable information. My mother is finally happy which did not happen at her last place. Wonderful place for seniors. I highly recommend!

We are so grateful to have found MorningStar for my folks. They are happy and thriving because they are in an atmosphere that is well run & truly cares about their residents. Huge respect for the manager, Janine, who runs a tight ship with a huge, warm heart. The entire staff is well trained and it is evident that they care and want to be there. They know the residents on a first name basis and go out of their way to help & make them feel respected. We finally found a place to call home. Thank you! The Champion Family

My Father has been living at Morning Star for over a year now and he really likes living there.The management and staff are very friendly, caring and helpful. They all seem to know my dad on a first names bases. When he walks by the staff says hello by his name. They are very accommodating to him when he arrives late for his meals too.

My mother has lived at Morningstar for about six years. Recently we transferred her to the assisted living part of the building as she was requiring more help. She is 95 1/2. The director and the rest of the staff have provided her with excellent care and she has made many new friends. The activities and opportunities are varied and suitable to the different age groups. I would highly recommend Morningstar.

Most everyone who works at Morningstar seems to love their jobs. They are happy and helpful, which is so very important to the morale of the residents, and their families. Thank you! I also rest assure knowing that my folks are safe and secure living in the residence. There is always someone close by if they need assistance. The facility smells fresh, looks cheerful, clean, and bright. It was a positive move for my parents!

The management and staff at Morning Star are fabulous. They are kind and responsive to Mom's needs. The facility is very clean, and there are a variety of things for residents to do and frequent entertainment. The kitchen does a great job providing a variety for meals and does an amazing job with special events and dinners. We know Mom is safe at Morning Star. Highly recommnend the facility and often do.

My dad was hesitant to move to a senior living community, but he has gotten involved, met new friends, and has less everyday stress in his life! He even says the food is good! Which is a great compliment coming from him. Would (and I do) tell everyone Morningstar is a wonderful place!

We toured many Independent Living facilities in the Boise area. We definitely liked this one best. Some of the reasons: 1. Full size kitchens. 2. The standard rent covers two meals a day, and to add a third is inexpensive. For those of us who do not want to have to get dressed and go to breakfast, this is a great option. 4. Transportation available 7 days a week. 5. Many fun activities 6. Several rooms you can reserve for meetings. 7. Friendly and supportive staff. One of our friends has since moved in there and is very well pleased with his decision. He says the food is consistently delicious and the service is great. He has made a couple of good friends since moving in and is happy living there. Since he is blind, and has several medical chronic conditions, he uses the transport service a lot and says it is mostly easy to arrange. We are not quite ready for Independent living yet, but when we are, we will definitely be going to MorningStar!

Very nice facility, location clean grounds. BUT, anyone looking for parents who manage their affairs, be very careful of those directing the facility. They have the ability to undermine the adult in charge of the aging parent which obviously causes problems. They do not work in the best interest and it becomes just a money situation. All lives matter, including those who love their parents but need to make the best decision for that aging parent. Stand your ground if you intend to choose this facility. Check the disbursement of drugs if they are ordered from a third party in Utah those for anxiety, depression etc. Shady.
